Leon understood why most of the missions had team or at least a partner for it. an extra set of eyes to watch your blind spot. Someone with spare inventory to help out and most of all, someone around t keep from going insane when times got tough. All he had to do was keep moving, Melvin was safe and he could make it.
"Come On Leon, you can get this done, so you wont have to deal with his disappointment." It was the only thing that kept him moving. that and the utter curiosity of what lied at the end.

The steps got slower, Leon was unsure if the next corner was going to try and send a giant boulder down his way and crush him into the floor. But the turned corner revealed something more magnificent than a rock.
More like molten rock.
The area was bright and hot, sweltering heat that made the life trainee shield his face from the blasts of warmth. But he made it. without Melvin. Just the thought of the hunter that was with him every step of the way until now put a frown on his face. he would have liked to see all this.
The room made a violent shake, a rumble that promised something even worse to happen if he didn't move fast. The boxer didn't want to test the labyrinth's patience. The room let out another plume of smoke and leon took of like a bolt, grabbing something soft and activating the pendant for all its worth.
And found the outside. safety. relative safety. he let out a celebratory whoop and flashed the scroll in his hand high above his head. "I got one!"

Melvin was upset. He helped Jerry. Jerry got a artifact. Melvin showed Leon where the labyrinth was and here he got an artifact. It was becoming frustrating, and he wondered if he was just not being sneaky enough or if he set off some magic-targetting system every time he stepped into these places. The only good thing was that Leon was still up for going despite it all and the monsters they faced. He just hoped that energy of his would last a few times.
"Thanks, ya know, for showing up." He said as they stepped through the portal. Leon didn't have to be here.

Leon was positivly beaming, the thrill of having something new, possibly something useful to him. it was the bee's knees. The parchment was tucked away in his vest as Melvin refused to leave without something for himself.
Rightfully so in his book. It gave him a chance to snatch another.
"By the way, the inner Sanctum is amazing." He couldn't resist a little bit of gloating.

It was indeed a sad moment when they got separated. Leon gave the blonde a friendly pat on the shoulder. "You got that far, I think you can do it." he said reassuringly.
Its almost like he knew it. :3 "Come on, the real test is up ahead."

Melvin was already muttering about the place and his unfairness. Leon was not going to hear any of that. He quickly whirled around and placed a finger in front of Melvin's mouth. "Shhh, the wall have EARS." he whispered.
The silence rang in his ears, but thankfully nothing else did, Leon got back to steppin.''

Melvin stepped back, covering his mouth in both surprise and disgust. He didn't know where that finger had been, Leon, so keep it away from his minty fresh lips. Still, he did clam up.
This did not seem to stop anything. The tiles moved, and in a second pulled then down two separate areas. They could still hear each other, but not see each other. "s**t!" He called out. "Uh... We should try and find our way aro - Oh man I'm stuck!" Melvin was indeed stuck. His leg had been buried in a stone trap that was holding his leg. He was stuck away from Leon in another hallway.

Melvin tried to tug on his leg free from the stone hand holding his leg, which was shooting up from the tile he had been standing on. He could hear Leon further off but not close by. Dang!

ANd then Melvin lost his glasses. Or some s**t. Leon almost wanted to face plant right now and be done with it. But this was for Melvin, to get his artifact. 'Hold on I'm going to look for something to help pull you out!" Now they had to survive and he had to find a tool for rescue.  9- 50% hp deducted. 50 = 25 hp
