Rowan nodded silently. Thinking, moved a bit. "Me, strong..." she echoed. Remembering how she broke down when Faron was taken. "That's a lot to ask for..." she said quietly, her voice quivering a bit. Rowan took a deep breath, looking down at her hands. She didn't think she'd ever be that happy again. Maybe close, but never the same. She was changed, forever, as the majority of people in these situations were. She looked at Frederick silently. Seeing his expression. "But I'll try... to get stronger. For both our benifits... so I don't drag you behind... or make you worry.... Then maybe.... I can be the person you admire again..." she said with the best smile she could manage. Rowan took her bowl and continued eating quietly, to show him.

"Everything will become better with time Rowan!" He said as he finished his steak. Placing to his side. Taking his helmet and placing it on his lap. "I've saved nearly 30 people today alone. They had probably given up hope. Though they waited in the dark. I finally got to them and brought them to safety." He put his helmet back on. Looking back to her as he adjusted it. "Stay strong Rowan. Everything will get better." He stood up and adjusted his weapons. Smiling to her. "Take some time off then. Maybe learn some new spells? I wouldn't mind learning a few either." He chuckled as he would look ahead of himself. "I am going to talk to the leaders. See if I can help them." He would look to see the wizards discussing. He head up their way. Maybe he would get something out of them.

Rowan finished her soup and set the empty bowl aside. She looked at Ferederick and listened to him, wondering how those people could survive in the dark for so long. And wondering if she was in the dark as well, and if he'd find her also. Rowan smiled slightly and nodded. Maybe things would get better afterall...

Frederick wouldn't bother talking to them. He could hear their conversation from where he stood. He grimaced. Then turned back to Rowan. Hearing the news of hundreds of ruin monsters coming their way. He didn't know how to react. He wanted to help them, but how would he be able to? His sword could not slay hundreds... no matter how much he wanted it too. Unless... "Rowan?" He asked quietly. "How long would it take to learn a spell? Something of higher caliber?" He asked as he looked to her. Eyes focused.

Rowan looked at Frederick, seeing his serious expression, having heard part of the conversation. "To someone that is not skilled in magic, a few months to a year. To someone who is skilled with magic, a week. Or a few days, depending on their drive..." she said. Rowan paused. "If you're asking me to use a high level spell, I already know two... which you haven't seen...." she said. "Two traditional Ringmaster offensive spells." she said.

"I think I might take up using a spell. Then I can help a little bit better. Maybe I should stick with something easier? How about a moderate spell? Something defensive is what I had in mind. So I can block some heavier hits." He tried to envision something of that nature, but he couldn't imagine how it would work. "Maybe you could infuse some magic into my sword or something?"

"Oh, I see..." she said. She nodded. "I candefinitelly do that. Or I can teach you a basic defense spell, even an offense sword spell if you're up to it." she said, standing. Rowan took her staff in hand. She already began thinking of possible spells in he head. "If you want to learn magic in that short amount of time, we should get to work right away. Come on, let's go find a place we can practice at." she said as she quickly began heading off to look for a courtyard, or training area.

"Yeah... Why not." He would follow her. Wondering where they could find anything like that. "Maybe we should just find an empty part of the city. This place had been a city before."

Rowan stopped and nodded. The place here seemed crowded as it was anyways. She thrned, seeing an exit. "Come on then, lets go search." she said. Rowan walked to the exit.

Frederick would return to The Sentinel hide out. He could see that nothing had really changed. "These people seem rather... immobile?"

Rowan nodded, looking at the people. "Maybe they're just exhausted about it all." she said. In that time, Aster returned with cups of water for the group. She was a bit disappointed that she couldn't get armor, but she survived Ruin without armor. She passed out the water to the group, then took a sip from her own cup. Aster sighed, looking around at the weary people. Were they alone, they would have not survived the wave...

Prophet was about to drink when he noticed a little child looking at the water. Prophet looked at his cup, then the child. He silently handed the drink to the child, and patted the you one's head. "Run along little one." Prophet said, making the child laugh and run off. He then noticed eyes were on him, and he growled, scaring them off besides the group. "I don't need to drink." Prophet said to Aster, and zone out, looking in no direction particular.

"Are you sure?" asked Aster. She handed him her cup. "You can have the rest if you'd like. It's alright, we need to be in our best if we want to defeat that wave." she said.

Frederick would eye the two people talking about the wave. The one was the strange warrior, but the other was a rather attractive elf. However she seemed to be wielding a massive blade the seemed heavily out of proportion to her body. Though she looked quite muscular, despite her rather small size. "Let's see if those two..." He would tell Rowan as he approached Aster. "Hail warrior. I couldn't help but hear that you we're going to do something about the wave of Ruin Monsters. Mind taking us along? We have experience with combating ruin as we have ferried people from across Fenrious to bring them here."

Rowan nodded and followed.
Aster turned to look at the man. "Hail warrior." she greeted. She was a bit surprised by his proposition. She looked at him assesingly, judging him by his armor and many weapons. She then looked atthe woman hiding behind him. She seemed broken. She then looked back at Frederick. "You seem phisycally capable enough to handle the wave. However, are you certain your will can stand a horde of hundreds? Do you have faith in your skill to fight until you can no longer stand?" she asked. Havibg seenthe broken faces of the citizens , she needed to make sure.
