When Maiya called him an old man in such an offensive way, he felt hurt that she would act in such a way, but when he hears Mori shout that it was enough, he felt glad that his old friend was going to stick up for him, he just hoped that Mori didn't hit her or anything like that. In fact, the very thought made him sweatdrop with an embarrassed smile.
However, what Mori did next he did not expect. When he saw Mori kiss the girl with such passion, he himself blushed a bit at the beauty of the scene he was watching. He felt happy that Mori had chosen an alternative to stopping the fight that didn't involve violence and that got their position of just trying to help across. However, he just barely had an unsettling feeling that the alternative chosen would backfire in some way.

Hearing the little bratty twit talk about the elder in such a way, Hirisha was about to go ahead and stab her until Hiriko calmed her down. "Why I oughta kill her right now if she wants it so bad!" she muttered as she started cursing her in all the words that she knew. Hiriko couldn't stop her from doing at least that, for he felt the same way that Hirisha did. "Calm yourself Hirisha," he reassured her, patting her back. What they saw Mori do next was something that was never to be expected. . unless it was Ruicha standing in the demon's place. The dog demons couldn't help but burst out laughing at the Demon's expression when she kissed him and the silence after she kissed him that they filled with outbursts of undying laughter.
"Man! The look on her face was priceless!" Hirisha laughed as she started leaning against the door while her brother was holding himself back as much as he could. He couldn't help it, seeing such a proud demon let herself be kissed like that off-guard. He waited to see what she would do and all the replies. He looked at the elder and wondered why he wasn't enjoying the moment as they were. I guess laughing at them was a demon thing. They all had forgotten that Ruicha was still in the kitchen baking cookies, even though there was a smell of utter deliciousness that had passed by, being repelled by the atmosphere of the moment.

✿ Ӎӑῑұӑ ✿   ┏ She was shocked for a little bit when this Tengu had kissed her, and for a moment, felt the pleasure that she had forgotten a while back. Something was flashing in her mind, a memory that she had forgotten of a boy like him. Only, that boy had much darker and shorter hair. . She couldn't see his face, but the thought of him made her head spin and her cheeks blush. . . This boy in her memory . . She must have loved him quite dearly. Maiya soon remembered the position that she was in as the victim of another man's kiss and she narrowed her eyes, even though her cheeks were red from the memory and with all her strength that she had, removed herself from him, wiping her mouth with her sleeve.
"You insolent dog!" she screamed as she moved away from him, "You insolent, you, you, filthy, you dirty, sickening, naive dog!" Maiya was stunned as she moved back cursing at him with all her might. It wasn't as effective though, for her cheeks were colored red and her eyes mirrored her dizziness. Even so, because of her pride, she wouldn't help but cuss at this boy over and over again. Part because the twins she loathed were laughing at her and part was that this boy was not even worthy enough to grovel at her feet! "You stupid, you ragged, coarse--!!" she started to continue after the silence, even though she smelled cookies from the kitchen oven. ┙

At first he felt a little hurt that she reacted this way, but then he fully realized that his message hadn't yet gotten through to her, so before she could finish insulting him, he said "Why don't you just calm down?" just as he kissed her passionately on the lips again. This time the kiss gave him a flash of what she was thinking a second before, but he didn't care, and didn't hesitate as he continued to kiss her with all his passion and love pouring out of him and into her through their mouths. He hoped that, as he had just seen how she felt a moment ago, she would see how he felt, and accept it and return his feelings.

♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ "Who wants coo---!!" Ruicha cheerfully started to say, being as she came out of the kitchen, being cut off by the sight of Mori kissing the demon with such tender passion. What happened next was the sound of glass breaking as the plate hit the floor and the aghast, depressed, scared, face that Ruicha had made when she had witnessed the sight of this. Out of instinct, her eyes began to water up and then she looked down, realizing that she had broken the plate . . . . what she didn't do was pick up the shards of glass. Ruicha imagined that she was looking at her heart, broken and shattered as she looked back up at her friends, who seemed to be staring at her. She didn't give one glance to the demon or Mori. On her face was a forced smile and eyes that wouldn't stop watering. She didn't even try to wipe her tears. Everything was getting blurrier and blurrier by the second.
"I-I'm sorry." she apologized with her plastered smile and her vacant eyes, hiding her feelings and making it look like she was one of the puppets that Fuji controlled, "I-I j-just. . .d-dropped it. . ." Ruicha looked down at the plate for a second before whimpering and then running out the back door to the river without even picking it up. She couldn't stand to be in the room any longer, no matter how patient she seemed to be. The wind blew through her hair and dried her tears as she ran through the busy streets while the villagers were watching her and wondering, "What happened to Ruicha?" for they knew that she was always such a happy girl. ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓

"Someone's done for!" both teased, saying it at the same time after she had run off because they couldn't help it. They knew they would get scolded but smelling the cookies and seeing Mori get caught so off-guard. . . it was coming to him anyway. They knew that Ruicha was a nice, kind, caring-----going to venture as they thought she a beautiful girl and wondered why Mori didn't care enough to return her feelings at least keeping her happy until she died, he has many years ahead of him anyway. They thought it sad though for him to have the guts to do that in her own home too. Both twins looked at each other indifferently as they looked at Mori with cold, unforgiving eyes, reminding him how much she had cared for him and how many bruises she's patched up for that Tengu. What they were really waiting for, was the elder's reaction to how his granddaughter a.k.a. the next elder in the village. They also scrolled their eyes at the blonde girl who was looking at Mori angrily and seeing how her expression when she ran out was relief, rather than anger when the human had left. They both now had thoughts of killing the blonde chick now as they emitted an aura that shouldn't be messed with.
There was a silence before Hirisha broke it saying, "Go after her." The three words that she hoped would start all the action, she said forcefully. Hiriko didn't even disagree, for it was a statement that needed to be said and done quickly before Ruicha drowns in the ocean of her own tears. "She should be by the river. Go on, don't waste your time. You might get banned from here if you don't." Hiriko hinted as he leaned on his younger sister.

✿ Ӎӑῑұӑ ✿ ┏ Maiya thought about the boy again as she kissed the Tengu. She still couldn't see his face, but she could feel his warmth was Maiya was about to give in. The sound of glass breaking and running woke her up although didn't give a flying monkey about the girl leaving. In fact, she was relieved that she did, sighing and indulging in the boy's expression of dread as she ran off before staring at him angrily with her fierce eyes. "Idiot boy doesn't have any common sense now does he." she insulted, thinking that she was his girlfriend or betrothed or something of the same sort after seeing both their reactions. "You do not kiss another woman in your woman's home." She put an emphasis on "your" for again. she assumed she was his. Maiya wiped her mouth with her sleeve vigorously and then scooted back more when she looked at the twin's expressions. Maiya innocently, yet with childish pleasure, stuck her tongue out which made her look the age that her body seemed to be. "Not my fault." she said as she crossed her arms, leaning against the wall that she had scooted all the way over to, "Not mine at all." This was the time she calmed down enough to think of what to do now. Maybe she could find some time to escape while all this was going on, yeah, it seemed like a good enough idea to follow that she snickered, devising a plan. Soon after though, she started thinking of the boy that appeared when he had kissed her, who he was, and how he was able to make her heart beat faster and faster. ┙

When Mori heard glass break, he quickly snapped back to reality and looked in the direction of the sound, fearful that Ruicha had hurt herself in the kitchen. He was relieved to see that she wasn't physically harmed, but it was a bittersweet feeling, for he could see the intense emotional pain mixed with confusion in her eyes. No, she hadn't hurt herself, HE had hurt her. "Ruicha..." he muttered as she ran out of the house, feeling terrible.
He then heard Maiya's comment and knew that, in a way, she was right, but she had the wrong idea. "She's not 'my woman'," he said so quietly that only Maiya could hear him. He then stood up from the bed and ran over to the front door about to chase after Ruicha as Hiriko was finishing his comment, not needing to be told off by Hirisha about what he should do.
However, he stopped just at the door with his hand on the doorway and said "You know, I don't regret kissing Maiya." He then muttered more quietly for Hiricha and Hiriko to hear alone "but please watch Maiya and make sure she doesn't try to run away. Will you do this for me?" With that he ran out the door in the direction of the river, spreading his wings out, and he took off, flying for the river because he knew that he would have a better chance of catching her if he flew than if he ran.

When Ruicha walked in with the cookies, he had been looking forward to eat some of her delicious baking again, but everything, especially the mood of the room, changed when she dropped the plate. His eyes widened as he saw the despair and confusion on his precious grandniece's face. Before he never truly understood how much Ruicha had loved Mori, his old friend, but now that he saw all of her feelings on the surface, he finally understood that she had been in love the whole time. He now regretted all the actions that just took place, for he felt like it was his fault for not stopping them or at least shielding Ruicha from the sight of them.
When Ruicha ran out, he knew that Mori would chase after her, regardless if he could return her feelings or not. He knew how Mori actually felt about Ruicha, for it was not unlike his own feelings, and he knew that Mori only wanted what was best for her. He felt a little happy to hear that Mori didn't regret the kiss, but inside, he also knew that Mori did regret hurting Ruicha so much so soon. It was necessary, yes, but still a painful thing to do, and it was a pain that would have to rest on both of their shoulders.
As Mori left, he just faintly caught him muttering a request that he figured was only intended for the twins to hear, but he figured that even regarding that fact, he would have to help the two in case they started bickering again and lost sight of their goal.
He smiled and said "Well, you heard Mori! Now, how about I get this mess cleaned up." He bent down and began carefully picking up the glass plate shards and the cookies, and though he spoke as he normally would, only the twins would be able to piece together that what he meant with his initial comment was that it was time for them to watch the girl.
After he picked up a good majority of the glass and cookie, he carried them into the kitchen where he threw them in the garbage. He then went into another room that was empty and began laying sutras and muttering spells under his breathe that were too quiet for either Maiya or the twins to hear which, together, formed a clear, invisible, and completely unnoticeable barrier around the house to keep any and all beings inside it from leaving. That way, even if the twins got distracted and Maiya were to make a run for it, she wouldn't be able to get far, and if it came to it and she tried to break the barrier, then he would bind her down before she would be able to do anything. With this in mind, he also discretely prepared a binding spell sutra and hid it under his sleeve before coming back into the main room of the house where the others were, claiming to look for the broom to sweep up the rest of the broken glass and cookie crumbs. "Do you know where the broom is?" he asked at Hiricha and Hiriko aloud, actually wanting to find it to clean up the mess.

♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ She Ruicha ran and ran past the busy shops, past the busy workers and past the entrance where she had started hearing the flapping of wings coming up from behind her. Great, just what she had needed. The man whom she'd wish whom never followed decided to follow her anyway, give the girl some space! Even though her legs were sore from running, telling that she did not run very often and even though the ribbons from her hair fell to the ground, she did not stop at all, she kept going like she had been running away from a monster rather than the one whom she'd loved. When she had reached the forest, her hair became caught in branches and such as she ran, and so there was a pain that came through her head as she cried. After some running and tripping over brambles that scratched her legs and tore her socks, Ruicha came upon the Eive River in all its shining glory, the place where everything for her started and the place that blessed the village with water. Because the rays of the run hit the ever-flowing river, it almost blinded her as she ran panting towards it so she blocked part of her face with her now muddy hands to keep her eyes from looking directly at the water. She sat right by the river, looking around and not finding Mori, it seems that she came here first. That was good. Whenever she cam to this river, she would cry, as she did now and the river would always sweep her tears away. This was the first in a long while, coming here and sobbing like the little girl that she refused to be. She could swear that as she cried, the river had reflected a different image of her . . an odd image. . . it didn't matter. Ruicha was too busy quietly sobbing to notice. ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓

They looked at each other after Mori had gone off to chase after his fan girl and then at the same time as well, they looked down at the demon who seemed to have stolen his heart. That had never really happened before, and their sense of curiosity sprouted like plants from the ground. But, it was soon extinguished with teh remembrance of her being an outsider, a foreigner, a weapon. "I don't like her." Hirisha muttered for only Mori to hear as she turned her face from the demon, "she seems dangerous and is a ticking bomb that could explode any second now. . . " Hiriko complied with her statement with a nod, although he didn't agree with her 100%. He looked down at the girl with pity as she herself tried to piece the puzzle in her mind. He felt as though he could be in her place, and knowing so, would do as she does right now. Hirisha looked up at her brother as he stared and sighed, both awakening from their thoughts when their elder had looked around for a broom. How disgraceful! Sensing a barrier and picking up the shards of plates made both of them react quickly. "You needn't do that elder . . ." Hiriko said as he took teh shards from his hands gently. Hirisha had gone out to get the broom and came out with it, sweeping up the leftover shards as she glared at the demon whom was just sitting there.

✿ Ӎӑῑұӑ ✿ ┏ Hearing Moriu's reply of the woman not being his woman, Maiya scoffed. Why would he be chasing after her then? Why would be even care? No matter! He was of of her now, and she was thankful for that. But, with those two out, the twins and the elder where all with her now and as the old guy tried picking up all the shards, she sensed him put up a barrier of some sort, a strong one too. Maybe that guy is old, but he seemed to have had a lot of experience with magic. She looked down sadly at her hands and wondered if she had been experienced in magic and not puppetry, maybe she wouldn't have been in this mess. For some reason, an image from her past flashed through her mind again, a brown-haired woman whom smiled at her endlessly. It made Maiya feel warm, yet cold as she shuddered and hugged herself, ignoring the voices of the twins whom tried to help the old man clear up the mess. Maiya was just staring off into the distance with her arms around her. Who was that woman? Why does she appear now? Why are my memories returning? Who is responsible for the returning of my memories? Was it this village? She didn't know. Maiya wouldn't believe that Fuji would ever return them. . . did he? ┙

When Mori was flying after Ruicha, he noticed her drop her hair ribbons so he dived down to pick them up. He then calmly walked towards the river, having briefly sensed that Ruicha didn't want him to follow. He decided he would give her a little bit of time to herself before confronting her about the inevitable truth.
He walked down the same path she did when he started to notice small tufts of her hair that were caught in the low-hanging branches. He also noticed marks in the mud that showed she had tripped a time or two, and he came to fully realize that she was running away from him as if her life depended on it, and he felt terrible that he could make her hate him so much.
He kept walking until he came to the beautiful Eive River, however there was something about it that made it somewhat less elegant. That was right, her tears were being washed away by the river, and to have something so sad inside something so happy made for a bad mix. As he stood, still partially covered by the brush and out of Ruicha's sight he saw her sitting on a rock by the riverside, crying. This made him even more sad for her, for he had made her cry like she's never cried before.
He walked out from the brush with the ribbons hidden in his pocket and a gloom look on his face. He quietly walked up the the riverside and sat knelt down in front of Ruicha. "Ruicha, I'm sorry I made you feel so sad," he said before grabbing her gently behind the shoulders and quickly pulling her into a hug before she got the chance to fight him, resting his chin on her shoulder. "I'm so sorry."

She couldn't help but cry in his arms-----until she realized her position. She was being treated like a child again, the pitiable, helpless child that he had to protect. She narrowed her eyes and pushed him away forcefully, knocking her down on the floor as the river, like a mirror, reflected her sniffling, quivering image of a broken-heart. The rushing of the wind blew her hair back from her shoulders, revealing her red face. She looked at him with pleading eyes. Ruicha did not want him to pity her like that, she didn't want to be treated like the worthless human that she was. "I'm the one who is supposed to apologize," she said, trying to sound as mature as possible with the crying going on, "I shouldn't have dropped the plate, I shouldn't have run away like that." Ruicha said it so softly that it was almost like a whisper, just softly enough for Mori to hear it as she scooted away from him and looked to the side of the river, seeing her image, her pitiable image looking back at her. ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓
