Lyuben throws his arm around his Lenora, laughing along with her. "My dear Lenora, you are wonderful. You see, this is how you have a real party! Just you, me, and that giant purple slug that looks like Bill Murray, hanging out on the floor and enjoying life. Oh, we simply must get together after the ball. I can teach you so many things... so many ways to have fun. Bill can come too, if he wants."

Sharma nods, "Yeah, I suppose I am," he laughs, "but you're not so bad yourself! You just need a bit of practice." He twirls Adessi around and dips her low, grinning. He can just feel all the other girls watching him jealously.

Isolde gave her head a slight shake. "Oh, fine. Nothing much is going on - not worth talking about anyway. Making sure Kei has the clothing he needs to look great, disparaging over Ask's fashion sense. I'm going to be leaving to spend the holidays in the city with my grandfather in a few hours. I'm really looking forward to it. It's nothing like the academy. Full of people, full of light. And in my house it's beautiful when it snows - the top floor is all glass and it's like being in a snowstorm, but safe and warm. I can't wait to be there."

Isolde swirled her glass around idly, and took a small sip. Tasted a bit funny. "How about you, any holiday plans coming up?"


Hinote drifted through people, not really ready to talk to any of them without some kind of previous introduction. Maybe she should just have some snacks, or something? Or at least say hi to some of the people she did know.

But there were marshmallow santas at the snack table! Snack table ahoy.

Hank took his furry hat off out of some vague idea that you shouldn't wear a hat while talking to a lady, and proceeded to squeeze it between his hands.
"Er. Fine. You know, not much going on, really. Cooking and that kind of thing. But, well, I know I was kind of a jerk, since I never got up the courage to call you or to make plans, and I figured, um, you're here, and I'm here, and it's a dance . . ."

Hank trailed off for a minute. Squinting and playing with her costume -don't look down at her costume, you'll humiliate yourself - was that a sign of nervousness or boredom? Did she want to be hanging out with someone else? Oh god she was probably meeting someone else here. Or looking forward to hanging out with friends. He should just get it over with so he could go back to hanging out in dark corners where he belonged. Or skip the dance and drive around. Hang out in the cold by himself. Not be in front of a bunch of people that weren't paying attention to him, but made him uncomfortable anyway.

"Do you, uh, want to dance?"

Sha grinned at the little girl. "Hey there Altair! Thanks, I like yours too." She looked like a feathery marshmallow. "I don't think you've met my best friend, this's Trae. He's kinda grumpy but don't let it bother you. You like the party so far?"

Trae gave a little wave to the girl on his introduction. "Hi. I am not grumpy, Sha." he said with a pout. "I just don't like meeting tons of new people at once."

Sha snorted. "Whatever are you doing being my friend then?"

Trae sighed in a put upon fashion. "God only knows." He smiled a little bit to show he was joking.


Ask was relieved when Kei snapped out of it and kissed him hello despite his glares at the offending sweater. He wondered if he should admit to wearing a shirt under the sweater so he could take it off, or waiting to see how Kei would get it off him later. "On your floor huh." Ask said a little dazedly. "Well, that's alright I guess. It was really more a prank then anything. Um, did you hear me when I said you looked beautiful? Because you were glaring kinda hard at my chest." And obviously Kei needed to be told on a regular basis that he was the most gorgeous thing on legs.

Cambria giggled as her feet were stepped on. "Nah, it's no big deal. This's my first dance too and I will step on yours back." and proved it by stepping on her foot, but not hard. "Besides. These boots are like armor, I don't even feel it." She couldn't shake the happy grin on her face.

"Well, um... yeah, I guess. 'M sorry, I didn't really have anything to wear. Thank you for telling me, though!" Alexander stammers, putting his jacket back on, straightening it out. "I'd be happy to learn, if you wanted to teach!"

The adult gave one of the most confused looks he had ever given all due to what came out of the new boy in front of him. Birds? Something with the punch? It was all kinds of weird. He had to agree with his son with his son's comment to the other little boy. He still wanted to know why the kids was under the table but he couldn't ask the question. He tried to motion what the kid was talking about as best he could. Times like this he wish he didn't dislike talking to new people. Actually each time he met someone new he was disliking it more and more that he didn't want to talk. Maybe his wife was right. Maybe it was time to break his habit since it would go a lot better for him if he did.

Yoo's eyes went wide feeling that all he knew about Santa was a lie and that everything the little girl in front of him was saying the truth. How could he have admired a man he thought was nice but turned out to be so cruel to their kind? Had this happened to him as well. For the life of him he couldn't remember well he was too young to remember such events.
A now horrified look came to his face, completely believing the girl's story. He would never look at the joy old man the same way again. That fact nearly brought tears to Yoo's eyes as he picked Santa doing these cruel act. "It's....it's so cruel for doing something to poor little babies." Yoo had to choke back his whimpering. He was a grown meta but he was so close to crying as if he was a child but it was just heart breaking to Yoo.

At Aiden's words Willow face started to darken with a blush and her eyes went wide. She let loose a nervous series of bird like twitters before clapping her hands over her mouth. Was it really so obvious that had been her intention or was it a lucky guess on Aiden's part. Either way her heart beat faster as a rush of nervous adrenaline hit her. She calmed a little as Edmund put a comforting hand on her shoulder though.

"That bee should consider himself lucky to have a chance with this flower." Edmund had meant his words to make Willow feel reassured but he just succeeded in making her more embarrassed.

"Oh my god I knew wearing this was a bad idea." She began to wring her hands together worriedly.

"....I'm sorry Willow I just meant... " He sighed heavily. "I just think you shouldn't be so worried." He gave Aiden and apologetic glance, he figured she had no idea what's going on, but wasn't going to go and explain it right now. It was Willow's place to talk about it and besides, it was probably a bit obvious to Aiden what was going on anyway.

Nadia gave a pleased grin in response to Silas's sleepy one. "Dancing it is then." She took his hand and led him off to the dance floor. On the way she took time to note Hank and Adeline over in the other direction. She thought that Adeline looked absolutely GORGEOUS and that Hank better be asking her to dance or finally out on a proper date. She swore she was going to wring his neck if he upset Adeline. Once they were on the dance floor Nadia let go of Silas's hand and turned to look at him. "Alright Silas, so why don't you show me what you remember."

Gavin shook his head at his friend in amusement. "I doubt anyone even noticed what I was doing, plus I'm sure I could talk my way out of it on the off chance they know it was me AND they're pissed." He chuckled. "But yeah it was those two over there." He pointed to Lenora and Lyuben. "From what they're saying sounds like they're tripping on something." With his work now done, he threw the bag of the remaining mistletoe off to the side where he could come get it later. It was time to direct Theo's attention elsewhere though, despite the distressed bird noises he'd heard Willow make moments ago.

"So what do you say we go mingle a bit? See anyone deserving to be graced with our presence?" He seriously hoped Theo would pick up on Willow's dress all on his own.

"No I didn't hear you, your sweater was screaming at me too loudly." He pulled back a bit so he could do a little turn for Ask. "I'm glad you approve. I've only been waiting forever to wear this costume, though I had to make a little more child friendly." Kei sighed a little but smiled adoringly at Ask again. Then he narrowed his eyes. "Why Ask... you were playing a prank on me?" That seemed distinctly unAsk.

Echo stared at him for a moment. "You... You don't have anything to wear? Like, at all?" He seemed dumbfounded. It took a moment, but then it clicked. "Oh I get it, you're poor. Well, fear not, my impoverished friend, I am here to rescue you from a world of poor fashion. In more ways than one." Echo nodded, Alex should consider himself lucky that Echo wasn't tall enough to put his arm around his shoulder... "We'll have to take you shopping after the party, of course. Get a whole new wardrobe, fit for someone of a more high class than yours." He nodded, and grinned. Of course he didn't realize he was being incredibly rude...

Tobias stared at Tori, unsure of how to feel about this... He didn't really like having someone be able to read him so clearly, but at the same time, it was nice to have someone that understood how uncomfortable he was... "Why are you scared of girls?" He tilted his head a little.

Aiden giggled a little, placing a hand over her mouth. How cute. She didn't even mean to do that. "Oh, I'm sorry Willow, I didn't realize..." She reached out to pat her sympathetically on the shoulder. "No no, your outfit is adorable! It was a good idea, really." She shook her head a little, then placed her hands on her hips. "And Edmund is right. I think you should take that as a compliment."

Silas followed Nadia out to the dance floor. "Okey, I can do that." He smiled and nodded a little, then proceeded to do a few basic dance moves that Nadia had shown him. Admittedly he was a little clumsy and slow at it, but it was better than he was before. The practicing seemed to be paying off.

Altair giggled, shaking her head. "I only had to kick him 'cause he was gonna try to make me go home with him. Papa is SO weird, he's SOOO sure that only bad things happen at school events." She rolllled her eyes in a most dramatic way. "But he won't tell me what he means and Mama seems reluctant too, sooooo I'm not gonna believe him." She shrugged, and then nodded at Sha. "So far, yeah! Are you guys having fun too?"

Oh yes, Vic was definitely thrown for a loop with what the boy not only said about him but Tobi as well. Even if Vic thought Tori was on the weird side he had a feeling that just maybe this kid would do Tobi some good. Vic HAD to say something though it seemed his son beat it to him even if it wasn't something the adult would ask. Hey at least it meant Tobi was making conversation so for now he thought it would be nice to just sit back and let the friendship happen. The thought made the incubus very pleased with himself. He would definitely tell his wife about his accomplishment later on.

Just like the girl was crying soon Yoo was too before he put his arms gently around her to comfort the both of them. "I may not like violence but he must he stopped and correct his wrong ways. Can't let him continue with these horrible actions." Yoo let go but held onto Phyl's shoulders as he looked at her as seriously as he could. "We're work together." The adult gave the little girl a nod before wiping his tears with his sleeve. "We must bring Santa to justice."
