 " A three tailed moon fox? Hu sounds interesting. Maybe i should talk to her." he said galncing at the girl " I know how she feels being the last of her kind, being a shadow raven." he said to Mara and stepped forward a bit then turned and placed a hand on her shoulder "Maybe we should keep this quit for now...yea?" he said and turned his head back to the other girl

"Well she can't stay with me forever and she's paranoid the hunters are going to get us next by staying here; the Chief's going to find out eventually. And a 'shadow raven'? Is that what you're calling yourself these days? I thought you were just a regular old raven." Mara teased with a little smirk. She didn't really mean to be cruel, that's just how things came out for her. "Don't forget, you don't see very many 'scarlet snakes' around these days either. No, wait! I've got one better! 'Ember snake', there we go!" she smiled while moving to her shelves of stock. "Anyway, what was it you said you needed?"

"She can stay with me if she has to, you know the cheif wont go in my hut, he swears i do voodoo." he said with a laugh then gave Mara a playful glare "See my child never heard of us cause we dont exist any more but me, and im sure most normal ravens look like black smoke." he teased and turned looking at the girl "Who would want to hunt her down she is just so cute looking." he laughed then turned his attention back to Mara "It wasnt important and i forgot any ways."

"Fine by me, but it's up to her in the end." Mara said while turning to lean back against the wall with a small smirk. "I'd comment on a mate possibly fixing that 'last of your kind' problem, but then I'd just get that pot calling the kettle black response." She then looked to the door where Layla was just beyond. "I imagine the usual type. Those humans who have no animal spirit to guide them, nor a connection to nature of any sort. Creatures like her must be a true prize for them."

Marcus looked back at Mara at the mate comment and gave her a cute smirk "Yea look whos talking miss i dont like tradition." he said with a laugh "Dont you ever get ttired of being alone? Dont you ever wonder how having a mate would make your life better?" he asked her he was now facing her all the way and his eye brows were lifted up waiting for a respons

Mara gave an easy shrug. "Maybe if I had more incentive beyond tradition and all that crap. That, and maybe if it was the right guy asking me. Otherwise I'm perfectly happy as I am now and don't feel like I'm missing out in any way." Stubborn, rebellious outlook on life? Or in denial. Hard to say really.

Layla's eyes went black as she heard another voice this time male. She slowly got up from the couch only to wince a little. She was not sure what to make of.this new comer.

Marcus noticed the girl getting up and turned aroud he had a smile on his face at what Mara said he then looked at the girl "Its alright, im not going to hurt you. Im one of the village healers you can trust me i know what your going threw." he said to her as he moved forward slowly "I asure you, you'll be safe here."

Layla look at the man before she collapsed towards the ground. She had been traveling since she lost her people afraid that if she tried to stop she would get caught meaning she had been without food or water for a while.

Mara nodded, going back into the kitchen to fix something up. She soon came back with a bowl of fruit, the easiest thing to get for her lest Layla go without food much longer, and a cup of water. "Try not to move so much, I just fixed you up." She set the bowl aside for now lifted the cup to the girl's mouth, helping her drink as she seemed so exhausted. "I realize I never introduced myself." she said while setting the cup aside and trading it for the bowl of fruit, holding it out in front of Layla for her to pick one. "I'm Mara, and this is Marcus. What did you say your name was...?"
