Naveen's pink eyes gazed down at the mare with a soft expression. "I'm glad to hear that." He nuzzled Cynthia in return. "The feeling's mutual, Princess."

Cynthia smiled softly, never having guessed that the love of her life would walk into her life with a cart.
"I never knew my prince would be a merchant who just happened to wander into my life,"Cynthia laughed.

Naveen felt his smile widen into a grin again. "And I didn't think I would end up being the prince to a princess who just happened to wander out to meet me," he teased. He'd never imagined that this once sheltered and inexperienced mare would become his permanent traveling companion. It was like they were living a fairytale.

Cynthia giggled as she nuzzled him, looking up at him with those brilliant gold eyes.
"Touche, my dear, I suppose that is a very good point indeed,"Cynthia nodded.

Naveen smiled. "I try to make those occasionally." He let his hooves carry him down the path, taking his time to take in the scenery this time. It was beautiful. If he hadn't known about the dragon, he would've wondered why no one settled here.

Cynthia laughed lightly as she followed him down the path, a sweet aroma filling her nostrils.
"It is really pretty here and it is a shame no one lives here. Of course, with a dragon, I could see why, even if he is a sweetie,"Cynthia spoke.

"I agree... on both accounts." Naveen walked a little more before making a suggestion. "We could always live here. At least part of the time." They could stay there during the winter and then travel again when it was spring. Or they could spend the summer there, since it was cooler in the mountains.

Cynthia swished her tail in thought, considering his suggestion very much.
"Yes, I think that would be a wonderful idea, it would be a lovely place to raise a family. We could also help care for the animals here, those that are endangered as well. Oh and we should probably ask the dragon, just to be polite,"Cynthia replied.

A family.
Naveen didn't know why he hadn't put that aspect of life into his equations when thinking about their future. Yes, when they wanted children, they'd need somewhere permanent and safe to live. His merchant mind instantly started making lists: things to avoid, things to get, things to teach. Cynthia's proposition to ask the dragon first released him from the wave of thoughts. "Of course. We don't want to impose."

Cynthia reached over and nuzzled him, wondering if he was alright over there.
"Nav, I am sorry if I said something wrong, I was just planning ahead,"Cynthia spoke quietly. She really wanted to have children, she was looking forward to it.

Naveen shook his head and smiled at her. "No, you didn't say anything wrong." Nuzzling her back, he continued. "I'm just trying to focus on too many things at once." His planning was getting away from him. He grinned sheepishly. "Maybe I'm the one who needs to rest."

"Nav, I wish we had some help to care for little ones, when we have them. I mean, there is no telling how many of them we will have,"Cynthia pointed out.

"I'm sure we'll be fine," Naveen reassured her. "Things will work out." If they got too overwhelmed, they could always find someone to assist. A butler or nanny of sorts.

Naveen chuckled. "I do know that. We both get ahead of ourselves sometimes." He nudged her gently before adding, "But let's not get carried away, alright? We should try to enjoy right now." It was a beautiful day, and they were both with the one they loved most; it would be a shame to waste this time together.
