 "Nein!" he spouted abruptly. "I vill never vork with you! I vill find ze doctor on mein own, even if you don't give me invormation!" he said then paused when he realized that she wasn't touching his hair anymore. Stiffening slightly, Dr. Fields stood up and hurried to the mirror, which miraculously stayed unscathed from his episode.

 Melody crossed her arms, pouting. "But I just want to help! I'll start with a bit of info that I just learned about. Decius has been working on a bunch of new serums as of late, but even his test subjects aren't sure what they're for. If you ask nicely, I could volunteer to be a test subject and learn more," she offered. "I need extra cash anyway."

Where the doctor would leap at any opportunity to sabotage Decius, he was busy glaring at himself. "Vhat. Have. You. Done. To. Mein. Hair?!" Fields yelled and turned to glare at Melody. "Look at me! Ein am hideous!" he cried while tugging at his tightly braided hair; a large vein pulsed to the side of his head and a cartoon wall of fire exploded behind him. "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!"

"Rage all you want, I think you look fabulous!" she said, grinning and proud of her work. "Stop doing that. You'll ruin your hair. Come here, I'll take them out if you really hate them that much."

"Nein! I vill do it meinself!" Fields growled and turned back to the mirror, looking at his hair with uncertainty. He hesitantly lifted his hand and pulled at a braid. His hair stayed fastened, but a pained expression showed on his face for a second until he released it. He sighed as his hand fell to his side and cursed in German. He could create all sorts of viruses and chemical reactions, but he couldn't figure out a stupid hairstyle.

Grabbing his hips, she pulled him over and forced him to sit, starting to work on unbraiding his hair. "You know, when a girl offers to be an experiment, usually the guy thanks them," she said, her voice soft as she tried to concentrate.

The doctor yelled profanities in German and tried to get her away from him, but their small fight ended with victory on her side and him sitting down in shame, an invisible shade covering his eyes. "I vill keep that in mind next time." he grumbled as a vein pulsed at the side of his head.

Fields winced as some of his hair was tugged in the process. This was going to be a long night. "Vhy do you vant to help me so much?" he asked suddenly.

He gave it some thought, growling when a few strands of his hair was pulled out. "You von't take nein for un answer, vill you?" he grumbled, basically giving away his own answer.
