"She's been doing okay in my bag. Mostly sleeping." Ziggy slept a lot...A LOT and thankfully that had paid off. "Maybe we can get her a leash?" If they allowed the mini to walk around and get some exercise perhaps she would be too tired to pester Shun. That and the leash would allow Mitsu to control her a little better without always having to carry her around.
Ziggy in response merely stretched out in Mitsu's arms, claws reaching for Shun but unable to get to him. She lazily batted at the air until she gave up and stayed in her stretched out position still purring. Apparently she was more content in Mitsu's arms than she was making Shun miserable.

Hm. There was a point there. It wasn't until now that he realized they had a stowaway with them.
"A leash could work. Maybe one of the local shops will have something we can use by chance."
Shun didn't have high hopes for that. It was a very small village. He wasn't sure if they had a petshop. But.. if they could find some decent rope, perhaps that would do in the meantime until they went to one of the bigger towns. Thinking that over, he soon eyed the cat warily as she looked like she was trying to claw at him still.
"Just why do you like to slice me up anyway?" he asked lowly.

Mitsu nodded and held onto Ziggy in the mean time. Shun wasn't as upset as she thought he would be but he still wasn't pleased. Hopefully she could keep the feline under control. Ziggy never gave her trouble but she wasn't the nicest when it came to others. In fact, she had yet to meet someone else that Ziggy actually liked. She hadn't even liked Riyo who was a feline demon.''
When it seemed Shun was directing his attention to the acrobat, Ziggy redoubled her efforts, rolling on her back in Mitsu's arms and stretching her paws out as far as they would go trying to get to him. Mitsu kept Ziggy at a fairly decent distance but that still didn't keep her from trying to claw her reaper. It was rather strange though, Ziggy was the most energetic when it came to Shun. What was it about him?
"Maybe we should find some rope for now?" Mitsu suggested in a quiet voice.

Shun's eye narrowed at the kitten as she was trying to reach him once again. He really hoped that this won't be a problem.
"That should work. Surely one of the other places around here has that."
The smell of cooking could now be picked up on along with the orchidy scent. A few moments later, Ayumi had come on by to check up on her guests. She seemed a little surprised to see the cat there all of the sudden.
"Oh! You have a pet with you as well," she commented, but she didn't sound put off. In fact she just smiled and approached closer, "Hey there little one."
Straightening up a bit, she remembered why she had come on by.
"Ah! Yes. I was just coming by to ask again if you two are sure about dinner. Though perhaps I could at least spare a little fish for your rather cute little cat?"

Mitsu could smell the food wafting from the other room but stiffened when Ayumi showed up out of no where. She wasn't sure how she was going to react to a random mini showing up all of a sudden but the woman didn't seem to be put out. Instead she approached enthusiastically and Ziggy tilted her head up to look at the ghost as she drew closer.
If anything the feline's purr grew louder and she batted at the air toward the woman but unlike with Shun her claws were retracted and her demeanor was rather cute. Was she trying to lure the woman in? Mitsu hoped not. She would feel terrible if Ziggy was acting nice for her to only get close and get scratched. Then again Ziggy never acted like this for anyone but her. Maybe she found someone else she liked? "B..be careful. She's...odd around people."
She looked at Shun then unsure what he wanted to do about food. Ayumi seemed rather persistent when it came to making them something. Would it be rude to decline? Mitsu felt like they were putting her out by taking up a room in her home and having her make food for them.

Shun furrowed his brow when Ayumi came in and started to approach the cat. He would have warned her, but Mitsu had already done just that. He just stood by, grimacing. Ziggy seemed to take a liking to the ghost, but he couldn't tell if that was just a farce or what.
"Aww, but she seems like such a sweetie!" she said before coming in close and gently stroking the top of the acrobat's head and scratching behind an ear.
As for the food deal, the reaper caught his lycan's gaze. He wasn't really sure either. Ayumi seemed rather hopeful about feeding them. Letting out a sigh, he nodded quietly.
"You really don't have to, but if you insist.."
"Wonderful. Dinner will be ready in the next half hour or so then."

To Mitsu's utter surprise Ziggy didn't move a muscle while the woman stroked her head and even leaned toward her when she scratched behind her ear. Odd. Very very odd. Soft paws even came up to tap at Ayumi's hand to make her continue, giving her wide innocent eyes like she had never been evil a day in her life.
When it seemed they were going to stay for dinner Mitsu bowed her head again in thanks. "T..thank you very much." This woman was very kind it seemed. Mitsu was glad Shun had met her the first time. No doubt the woman had taken care of him while he was here.
"M..Miss Ayumi...have you ever been outside of this area?" Mitsu asked curiously. Maybe it would clear up the mystery behind why they both felt like they had seen her before. Though, for a short moment Mitsu couldn't help but glance between the woman and Shun and back again.

Quite frankly, Shun was surprised with Ziggy as well. Why couldn't the cat be that civil with him? It was rather frustrating visiting Mitsu's room only to be attacked every time she happened to be out and about while he's there. When the girl decided to ask about Ayumi having traveled, he stood by with his hands in his pockets, curious as well. It was a little odd how they both felt that they had seen her somewhere before.
Ayumi continued to pet Ziggy a little longer, gently stroking her head before petting her cheeks and chin. At the question, she nodded first.
"After I first awoke, I had spent a little time wandering about. Soul searching in a way. Trying to find out who I was and what to do with myself. I eventually found my way here, and found my calling as well," she smiled softly.
It was about then, that Shun realized that Mitsu was looking between himself and the ghost woman. He looked to her curiously as a result.

Mitsu listened intently, staying close so that Ayumi could pet Ziggy with ease. The cat seemed to like the attention, lounging lazily in her arms. "H-How long ago was that?" Mitsu continued though she blushed slightly and looked away. Maybe she was prying too much.
"S-sorry you don't have to sa-" Her voice squeak out at the end and fell silent. Seemed she had worn out her voice again for the day. Sighing lightly she loosened the collar around her throat that hid the scarring she had trying to find a little more comfort.

"Oh that was years ago. At least seven," Ayumi said, not minding the questions so much. However, she soon looked concerned as Mitsu's voice squeaked and gave out. Furthermore, when she had moved her collar, she then saw the scarring at her throat. Oh, the poor girl. Her expression softened, and there was something familiar about that look as well.
"I'll make you some tea that should help with your voice," she said softly.
Nodding, she soon took a step back, "Oh! I should get back to cooking before something burns."
Smiling, she turned and retreated once again.
Running a hand through his hair, Shun turned towards his lycan, giving her a look of concern.
"Do you still want to go for a walk while she prepares the food?" he asked. He thought of reaching to take a hand... but he didn't want to end up getting clawed by the cat.

Mitsu's eyes tilted up slightly seeing that softened expression on Ayumi's face. The lycan felt a little embarrassed about her voice but there was something about the woman's expression that was distracting and even more familiar than her appearance alone. Mitsu tried to wrap her mind around it, like grasping at a distant memory, but she just wasn't coming up with why this woman seemed so familiar. If it had been at least seven years since she had traveled around it was likely Mitsu had never met her. Was it all in her head then that this woman seemed familiar?
It really wasn't important Mitsu supposed. She was a very kind lady who was nice enough to fix them food and give them a place to stay for the night. To a point Mitsu wondered if this was what it was like to have a doting mother, and she offered Ayumi a soft smile as she offered to make her tea, again nodding her thanks.
When Ayumi hustled off back to the kitchen Mitsu had to hold onto Ziggy as the cat squirmed trying to follow after the woman. Mitsu was half way certain if she placed the feline down she would change her mind and attack Shun and Mitsu was far too tired to run around trying to catch her again.
At Shun's offer to take a walk Mitsu nodded lightly, freeing one hand while holding Ziggy with the other. She reached out for his, wiggling her fingers until he took hold and she was able to grasp his hand firmly. Mitsu liked the feeling of her hand in his. His hands were rough and scarred from training but they were also gentle and warm and knew how to sooth her and make her feel safe. She waited for this comfort before they made their way toward the door to take a short walk through the town.

Some of the same things were running through Shun's head. It wasn't too likely that they had spotted this woman together if it had been that long ago. If it were just himself, it might have been plausible seeing how he was from a rather large city. But that didn't explain why Mitsu was feeling the same thing. For now, he just shrugged it off.
Apart from that, like her, he also wondered if this was what it liked to have a loving mother. He really wouldn't know.
Seeing her outstretched hand, he gently took hers into his. Instinctively, he squeezed her hand gently while intertwining their fingers. It amused him how little things like this just felt nice. There was no way to really explain it, but he enjoyed it. He then started to make his way to the door.
"We're going for a little walk," he said, speaking towards the kitchen. It was just to give Ayumi a heads up.
"Alright! Food should be ready when you get back!"
Nodding quietly, he started to make his way out, feeling the cool air hit them as he stepped outside.
"Pick a direction," he requested of his lycan as he looked down both ways. There were still a few spirits milling about, but it was a pretty quiet night as a whole.

Once they let Ayumi know where they were going and stepped through the door Mitsu scanned the area trying to make a decision. She had never been here before so it was hard to say which way would be better than the other but it looked like there were some shops to the right.
Squeezing Shun's hand lightly she tilted her head toward the right to indicate the direction before she started to walk that way. It seemed to be a quiet night or was it always that way here? If so this was probably a fairly peaceful place.
As Shun probably suspected it looked like the shops in the area carried simple and basic things. It would probably be hard to find a leash and harness but they could probably find some thin rope that could be fashioned into one for the meantime.

Nodding quietly to Mitsu, Shun began to walk with her to the right. Some of the locals that were out and about glanced to them, but didn't really pay them much mind otherwise. A number of the shops were still open, though they would probably close within the next hour or so. That was fine. They didn't need a whole lot of time for this.
Spotting one of the shops, he motioned to it briefly before entering. The shopkeeper greeted them, then asked if there was anything in specific that they were looking for.
"Do you have some thin rope?"
The shopkeeper nodded, then pointed towards the back. Indeed they weren't quite leashes or harnesses, but they would do for now. The shopkeeper also mentioned that he could cut the rope to whatever length they needed exactly.
"How much do you think we need?" he asked Mitsu quietly.

It hadn't taken them long to find a shop that had what they needed and Mitsu carefully considered the question. She needed enough to loop around Ziggy to form a harness and then enough to finish it off in a leash. Mitsu wasn't tall so the leash didn't have to be particularly long and Ziggy was small so it wasn't going to take a lot to go around her.
Looking at Shun, she tilted her head for a moment regarding him before reaching for his arm and lifting it up and holding it out. She nodded shortly before she tapped his hand and ran her finger down the length of his arm and pointed to where his other arm should be. Shuffling over to his other side she tapped at that arm as well so that he knew for sure she wanted two arm lengths of rope. It would be a little easier to work with if they used his arm length instead of her own. He had longer arms so it would give her a little extra rope.
