Mellina Mizu  Ahmose was still being all paranoid and kept looking Mellina over, just not pawing now since Mellina kept swatting her hands off her. A funny scene, if things weren't so tense at that moment. The pink haired woman got a chill herself at that question directed at Stefan about his first killing. Shaking her head not wanting to think about anything Reynolds related anymore, she tuned out on the conversation until it came back to the topic of Stefan and Mellina again. Hearing Stefan's question, smiling a little waiting as Vince was responding. Only smiling more, as he said they could be near each other. Nodding quickly because Ahmose was giving her such a look like adding 'don't you be running off again like today.' "Same....got it, we can deal with that." Hard to contain how happy or excited she sounded now that that whole deal was done. Practically grinning all cheery at Stefan, glad now. Glancing behing the two male vampires, but looked away, "Could we...um head back now..." Ahmose making a face about the body too, wondering, then nodding, "you two go ahead and go straight back to the house." Ahmose going over to Vince speaking quietly, "should we...handle clean up...?" Cause much as she'd want to just leave the body there...or burn it or something, it'd stink up the area and well she just didn't think stefan or mellina needed to see the body still there at another point.

Mellina was glad for that go ahead, to get out of that area. She didn't want to spend anymore time there that moment. Going to Stefan, she slipped her hand in one of his, "let's go back...let them handle things here." Speaking quietly, starting to lead him back to the house. Murmuring as a last remark, "Though...this technically counts as going out of their sight...but we're not wandering off anywhere, just heading back to the house...besides no need to spend more time here." Her voice going flat at the last part of her remark, sighing just too tired to react much after everything, the 'going out of their sight' part was meant as a light joke attempt like well why say don't go where they can't see them if that's just what they were doing now. Still working up a light smile just glad to be able to see Stefan again. "Stefan...thank you...again..." For coming to her rescue. Being disrupted when Ahmose and Vincent came barreling out to them. "I'm just...really so happy you're still here." Still alive in some sense of that thought. Her hand still in his but leaned in closer to him, almost like a 'side hug' if that made sense. Without wrapping her arms around since they were walking, so it was just that close motion.

Something like justice,
or something like faith..
Stefan was relieved to know that he could see Mellina once again.. Hear her voice again.. He'd missed everything about her, and even knowing she was safe, he worried so much for her.
Feeling her hand in his, he sighed at her touch. He nodded, following alongside her and, in response, whispered, "He did say it was alright if they could at least hear if anything happens.. Trust me, they will." Stefan knew this for sure, because, well.. he was one of them now. He'd heard that vampires gained heightened senses, but he never guessed they would be this heightened. He knew just going as far as the house would be alright..
The soldier, or.. rather, ex-soldier, smiled softly down to Mellina. "You really think you have to thank me?" He leaned down just enough to give the top of her head a gentle kiss. "I would never let anything happen to you. I, uh.." He cleared his throat a bit, recalling what he had tried to confess during his 'dying moment'. "I care about you.." It wasn't that he was taking back what he felt, but.. Well, now that he was going to live--in a sense of the word--he wasn't feeling quite so brave about this sort of confession.
Back at the house, Stefan held the door open for Mellina while saying, "So... We have some time to waste." While he spoke, he let go of Mell's hand and went straight for the kitchen. The first thing he wanted to do was get any trace of blood off. He washed his hands, though most of the blood he had gotten onto himself was on his coat's sleeve, and the smudges on his face that he'd missed when wiping it all off. He took his coat off and dropped it carelessly onto the floor beside him. Then, he cupped his hands under the faucet until they filled with water, and splashed it onto his face until he was sure all traces of blood around his lips and chin were gone.
Finally, he stood up straight, sighing with relief. While he let the water run a while longer to keep the sink clean, he said to Mellina, "Anything happen while I was uh.. bedridden these past few days?"

Mellina Mizu Mellina perked her head up, curious as he whispered to her. She didn't know quite the extent of how heightened a vampire's senses were, but as Stefan was informing her that Vince and Ahmose would be able to hear them she nodded slightly. Thinking about that, it was impressive, "then we're perfectly fine I guess." Wandering away from the pair this distance since it was just back to the house. She had kinda of meant it a little jokingly before in attempt to lighten things a little. "It's...impressive isn't it." murmuring just musing on that a bit, about the heightened senses among other aspects.
She stopped walking as Stefan had, speaking about her thanking him, that she hadn't needed to. Flushing lightly as he'd kissed the top of her head. Looking up at him, she heard that bit of falter, though smiled as he continued. Knowing what he'd faltered on saying, at least hoping that she was thinking the right thing, but she wouldn't push or question. "I...I know you wouldn't..." And he had definitely proven that. Smiling a little more brightly, "I...care about you too Stefan." Blushing a little more, she wanted to say it too but there'd be better moments for their confessions, and she didn't want to sort of push into it. She'd feel like that's what was happening anyway if she'd said that now.
As they arrived back at the house, Stefan holding the door open, gentlemanly as always. She smiled a little about to say something though Stefan had spoke up first. Nodding, "we do indeed." About having time to waste, before their 'nannies' came back to monitor the pair. She couldn't be annoyed at that though, since she knew it was just to be sure they'd be alright around each other. Following behind him as Stefan went into the kitchen. Watching as he got to cleaning off the remnants of blood still on him. Mellina knelt and grabbed up his coat by the neck part and hung it over the back of a near chair. She just didn't want any mishaps, tripping over the coat, etc. If Stefan wanted, the coat could be cleaned to get the blood from the sleeves. At the moment she wasn't sure, whether the uniform would give him any lingering bad memories or if it wouldn't matter.
Seeing Stefan pulling back from the sink, Mellina reached up and pulled a towel from the rack of dish towels. They were clean ones so he could dry off his face. Handing it to him, "better?" since he got himself cleaned up, refreshed and all. She pursed her lips a little, as Stefan asked about what had been going on, if anything. She didn't quite want to admit her own depression over the last few days, though that had been what'd happened. "Uh..." she was stuck on anything to say. "Diana and Merlin have been enjoying their little romance...the two are adorable." Offering something there to say, those two had been all cutesy together but the last few days had also been tense for everyone with what'd happened. And when they'd been trying to console Mellina or just get her to interact. Rubbing the back of her head, "S-sorry, I want to say more has happened, try to lighten the mood, get you to feel better. But there isn't much that happened." Having to admit it, though she wished she could just make up something that may relieve some of the tension from today. "I was anxious...worried after what had happened, I wanted to be near you and knew I couldn't..." because of what Vince and Ahmose had explained and all why. "I was really afraid we wouldn't see each other again..." before Vince had turned him, she had of course been terrified that he would be gone. "I know...things are different now, but I'm just really happy you're still here and I can be near you again." Smiling lightly, reaching and took one of his hands in both of hers. She kissed the top of his hand, just an affectionate gesture and because she'd wanted to hold onto him again.
