Masa stiffens as she feels herself shaking. Every part of her that was morphing stops. She suddenly jerks awake and becomes fully human again. "Masa thought she was gonna die again. Is Lazzy okay?"

Lazarus breathes a sigh of relief and lets Masa go. "Yes, I'm fine," he answers softly. "Are you okay? What happened? What do you mean die 'again'?"

"Masa is okay. Masa tried to save everyone. The bad guy tried to hurt you." Masa keeps blabbing, obviously avoiding the last question. She sits up and stretches.

Lazarus sighs and places his hands on her shoulders gently, whilst forcing her to make eye contact with him. "You need to tell me, Masa. I can't help protect you if you keep secrets from me."

Lazarus is sitting on a bench with a dismantled sniper rifle laying on the table in front of it. He inspects it and cleans it, piece by piece, searching for ways to improve it.
((This is what he's going to be doing until someone else comes in pretty much.))

Mathias enters the front room with Finis in tow, smiling as he sees his comrade at work. "Evening, Laz," he greets and turns to introduce them. "Finis, this is Lazarus, my partner in crime and strategist. Laz, this our latest addition to the party, Finis. We'll be taking him on our next mission down in the Plains."
Lazarus smiles at them and stands, holding out his hand towards Finis. "I assume he's already put you through what he calls the 'initiation'?" he jokes. "He didn't hurt you too badly I take it?"

Finis looked at Lazarus' hand, wondering what he was doing. "No I'm unscathed. Though I must ask, what is this structure?"

"Can you take care of him for a minute, Laz?" Mathias asks and pats him on the shoulder, heading down into the basement before he even got an answer.
Lazarus retracts his arm with a smile, since he's rather used to some people not understanding a handshake. "This is our base of operations. You didn't think we just worked out of a tiny blacksmith shop did you?" While waiting for a response, Lazarus sits back down on the couch and puts the sniper rifle back together so that he can put it away.

Finis watched Lazarus mess around with some 'odd pipe'. Most of Finis' attention was on the what Lazarus had with him.

Lazarus just keeps smiling at Finis, since it's pretty obvious that he has no idea what he's working on. "This is a type of gun our adversaries at AICo. use that's designed to fire at extremely long distances called a sniper rifle. If, or when, we go on a mission against AICo., you'll probably have a lot of these shot at you." He sets the sniper rifle leaning against a wall with a few other different ones and looks back at Sora. "Do I need to explain what a gun is too or do you know that part already?"

"Gun..." The words seemed familiar, but it still drew a blank. When Lazarus asked if he needed to explain what a gun was, he gave a nod. "Yes, what is this gun?"

Lazarus sighs, even though he's used to this too. It still gets annoying to have to explain this to so many people. He picks up one of the rounds and holds it between his thumb and forefinger to show Finis the projectile. "A gun uses a small contained explosion to fire a small projectile, a bullet, at extreme speeds to pierce its target." At least he pretty much has the explanation down to a science. "Probably faster than anything you've ever seen. You've got to have keen senses, sharp reflexes, and enough power to ever hope to dodge or block these things."

Finis remembered that he has seen a gun, at the lake. "Oh, that was a gun. Are you sure you need all of that? I sliced a load of bullets when I saw 'gun'." Not knowing that a normal human couldn't possibly dodge a bullet, he made it clear that he was unhuman.

Lazarus smiles at him and laughs when he said he had already "sliced" bullets. "You do realize that normal humans wouldn't have been able to survive that don't you?" Chuckling to himself, he walks over to the stairs and motions for Finis to follow him. "Feel free not to answer, but out of curiosity, can I ask what you are?"

Finis felt a little surprised that humans can't survive bullets. He saw the signal, and followed Lazarus. "I'm an half-angle, and that pretty much all I know. The earliest thing I can remember was waking up on top of a mountain, buried in snow."
