Man, I didn't realize I was that ancient... People thinking a 25 yr old way ancient...
So, I thought I would drop by and see about imparting some wisdom on some of my juniors. I've been RPing on and off for over 15 years. First started with writing the old fashioned way with pen and paper before I knew what fan fic and role playing were. Oh, forgot to mention, I'm almost 30, married and with a kid on the way, but I still enjoy writing a lot.

So my fiance just came home today and he's all scarred up but is actually pretty stable besides the fever and the whole coughing fits, he's been having over the past few days, Quick question for rpers, why do rpers who rp on skype and email, come here in the first place.

Lol @ making everyone feel old.

I hope your fiance keeps improving.
I prefer the format of forums. You can personalize posts and do so many customizations. Plus, these forums basically last forever.

Well, that's not what causes people to abuse alcohol down here. Kids find ways to get alcohol without that law. All I hear around campus are stories about last weekend.emotion_facepalm

PMs are good for planning and in 1x1s when neither care to update their forum thread, and that's just about it.
Threads on the other hand, make it easy to look back at old material and understand what's going on, or find something you didn't realize the first time around. Sometimes I've accidentally slipped in a pun, some very subtle implications, or foreshadowing for events I had yet to think of. It gives a strong sense of continuity that other formats don't have or don't match up to.
The forum/thread format is so advantageous I've even struggled with the crappy Nintendo Wii web browser to post if need be (it's an exercise in masochism, believe me).

That's true, I guess.
God. I miss being one of those people. I love me some wild weekends.

I think that was sarcasm. But in case it wasn't: No.emotion_donotwant

✝There's a feeling you can't deny✝
Dear god, just looking through this guild I am so overwhelmed every rp is just so creative and thought thru but a lot of the mare like you need to have a grip on the subject matter before hand and that turns me off. K, I think I will try my hand at starting an rp and see where it takes me.
Don't look now, but there's someone new in the guild.
It might be me...
Okay, it's me.
Hi. I haven't been actively on Gaia in over a year. Everything I was in had already died before I left (part of why I did so, the other part being life), but now I've been bitten by the RP bug again and here I am. I do have experience roleplaying and will do everything I can to remain active in anything I join.
