More yelling was not what the varcolac needed, and dear god his ears are starting to ring. However, that doesn't stop Clyde from yelling back...again.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK?! I HAVEN'T ATTACKED YOU YET HAVE I?!" he snapped back as he held his hands over his ears, providing a temporary comfort by muffling the volume a little. Why was he yelling again? Clyde wasn't sure but he could only guess that this might just be a natural response of when someone yells at you, you yell back.

"Oregano ah, oh Hecate... It ah... It..." The hand that had wiped away her tears instead balled and pressed against her temple. Why could she remember exactly what the plant looked like, why she could pick out the plant if it were to spring up in front of her but she could not remember what it did? Why was this fog so invasive, why had she gotten lost and separated why why why--
With a whirl she turned around and almost let out a shriek. Instead she put the ball up hand to her mouth and stared. For a moment longer she stood there until she took one, small step forward in case it was an illusion.
"Alexander?" She called out, loud enough to be heard, but not loud enough that it would attract anyone else's attention... Hopefully.

He continued to shuffle along towards the voice that lured him towards it. There was something familiar about it, though it seemed quiet and muffled, as though the fog were doing strange things to his hearing. The shriek had him pausing mid shuffle, stopping, before voice rang out with his name.

"Belladonna?" Came his answering reply as he then began moving again, faster then before until he was well upon the ghoul, and without thinking or caring, wrapping his arms around her in an embrace.

"I thought I lost you too. I thought I'd lost everyone." His voice was low and gruff and hitched painfully in his chest.

He wondered if she even knew what happened to Mort, yet.

"Hello?"

The fog responded to Chaya, ringing in her head. Silence, and then the same words, louder now, resolute, a statement.

"Hello? Are you here?"

Whites began to curl up her legs, vine-like, tendrils joining into a thick casing, a cocoon, threatening to consume her whole. She couldn't move, for some reason, she wouldn't move. Despite the terror of being buried alive by the fog, there was a feeling, a strange soothing feeling above all else, a yearning sensation.

"Will you take me home?"

She didn't even manage a single muffled yell as the fog consumed her entirely.

From the white base of the ground, more tendrils formed, oddly organic in shape, crawling upwards, outwards. They grasped at anything they could see, any moving creature, latching onto them: first a leg, then traveling up the torso, arms, head, branching outwards, covering them quickly and efficiently.

The sensation was similar to being buried alive, or drowning, as masses of white invaded each victim's sensation from sight, to hearing, to eventually nothing at all as they struggled to break free, as a strange ringing noise continued to buzz in the background and finally -

- As they whited out entirely.

Clyde's yelling match with the hunter was cut short as random white things suddenly swallowed them whole. THE END.

Before had learned a couple of things in that thankfully brief bout of yelling. First: Halloweeners can yell like super <********> loud. Second: Not all Halloweeners responded with auto-violence (thank you for that ;^; ). As the fog suddenly claimed the Mist Trainee, Before decided the third thing he learned was: "Yelling draws attention!"

Mmur wasn't following anyone. He had remained within sight of a group of his kin for as long as it took to reach a particularly expansive patch of fog, but by the time he could make sense of his surroundings again after walking into it, he was alone. The horseman didn't bother calling out, instead he noisily blew his nose into his giant red handkerchief and muttered something about grumpkin pancakes. He was not himself. This whole place felt wrong, and it didn't help that he had now made himself hungry thinking about delicious breakfast foods.

Once he had finished wiping his nose, Mmur stood up as straight as he could go and squinted out into the fog. "Hello?" he said, shrugging as he received no immediate response. He kept walking.

Alex was still clutching to Belladonna for dear unlife when the fog began to thicken, and move. White hands reaching, grabbing a hold of them both, pulling, attempting to wrench them apart.

Well, he had his death grip on so good luck with that, mr. fog.

"No!" He growled, trying to pull himself away, to break them both free.

"NO!"

His ears began to ring as the white fog continued to spread, rising up his legs, engulfing them both.

Metal boots echoed dull and hollow against the wooden floor as Sammy moved through the house. Where the fog grew stronger her eyes burned brighter trying to cut through the cold wet clouds. She had seen others venture to the house, she had seen others even turned by Insanity. Part of her wondered where Ash was, would Thackery be the unlucky soul to run into him?

She hoped it wouldn't.

So she continued onward through the house passing through door and hall room by room seeking something she couldn't name. Friends? Trouble? A solution? All of them held true at this point.

Tori had thought to wait for some of the other trainees when she had gotten to the Haunted House since it would be better in numbers because of the insanity. But then she got to thinking it be alright to go off on her own since they were only just here to gather information and it wasn't like she hadn't been here before minus all the fog and insanity.

her weapon reminded her since anything could happen.

Nodding as she walked off from where the portal had brought her since she was only going a little ways ahead to get a look ahead. Stopping to take a few note that Tori did look back to see just more fog all around and Aklin just softly chuckles at his hunter.

Keep quite Lin, you have no land sense to begin with. So no chuckling at me just because I got lost. I blame the fog.
Tori retorted back at her weapon while keeping a close eye out for anyone else in this fog and she did want to find another hunter just in case and walking quietly as possible.

Chaya froze as the fog answered. Her tail tucked, her ears flattened, and she couldn't make herself move.

And then she couldn't move. She whimpered voicelessly as the fog twined gently up her legs, patting soothingly at her substance; but under the visceral terror of being immobilized, consumed, a sense of comfort stole gently over her, a longing, a sense of her pack, of home, the promise that if she only stopped fighting ...

Yes. Yes, she would go. She would go home. She surrendered, smiling faintly as the fog engulfed her.

The fog had changed by the time Aymet crossed into the area again. The distortion grounded him, kept him focused, smoothed out most of the worries and fears that had plagued and paralyzed him when he'd first wandered into the mist. This was where he'd last seen Mort.... it was the best place to start searching.

That was when the fog began to swirl, the ground shaking ever so slightly under his feet. The whispers had turned to screaming, they dissipated over and over and every time they howled, begging, pleading. It was torture, and even through his confidence he felt himself falter at the sounds. He stopped where he was and pressed an ear to the ground. Because the voices - they sounded like -

The horror only lasted a few moments before the distortion flowed through him and washed away the paranoia. There was no room for fear if he was filled with anger.

The ground opened up beneath him like a hellmouth and sent him plummeting down, down... down...

Somewhere in all this wretched fog, Petro swore he heard yelling. He couldn't tell what was being screamed, the words were unintelligible and garbled but it was enough for the tikbalang to focus on. He didn't like Fog. Hated it with his whole being. Bad things always came with the Fog. But he was here to find Amrita. And the others who'd been infected with Insanity.

Damn this fog! Kat literally had no idea where it was she had ended up, or even how she had arrived here. All she knew, was that she came here alone--or at least without any backup. Just the thing that was advised against. Well, this was just great. If she ran into any of those insanity creatures now, she was likely screwed.

:Careful, and keep your guard up. There's no telling what is lurking here.: Noted. As usual, Xedis' advice was just as helpful as always. Like she didn't already know this! Honestly!

Sucking in a breath of air, she continued on, keeping her weapons summoned at all time. Like hell she was going to wander about this place unarmed!

(( ICly this is meant to be after Kat/Fini's thread /GOT PERMISSION * U* ))
