xxxxxNikolai listened to Ana and smirked when she brought up the "bear." "Well, I don't see any tracks around so it sh- Yup! We still have some." Pulling the rabbit meat out of his bag, he placed his apple in his mouth and held it with his teeth as he opened up the container. "Would you like some?" he asked after removing the apple. He had seen Ana give both of her apples to the horses and offered her the meat first. "What do you want to do today? My vote is we find a stream or a lake where I can wash up. I haven't bathed in a couple days and I'm starting to smell." Nikolai raised an arm and pretended to smell his armpit before making a face. After spending more than two weeks with each other, Nikolai was comfortable enough around Ana to be crass and honest with her... about most things.

Ana smiled to herself once Nikolai found the rabbit meat. She was glad that this time they hadn't been robbed of their belongings. Chuckling softly, she nodded her head. "I would, thank you. " She replied then reached her hand into the small container and pulled out a few pieces of the rabbit meat. Raising a strip to her mouth and munching on it for a few moments before she waited until she swallowed to answer him. " Finding a lake sounds good to me. Though My thoughts go to the weather and it will be pretty cold... Unless we find a hot spring or something of the sort. " She said with a cute white smile. Giggling at his appalled expression by his "stench" that seemed to be there. She didn't mind that he acted like..well.. Such a guy around and with her. It made her feel like a regular person. Like she wasn't being treated like royalty; and she loved it. Loved the fact that he wasn't acting on his " Best behavior in the presence of royalty." Granted he didn't know about her, but it wasn't a big deal. She wanted to keep it that way. When she finished laughing, she went back to eating the rabbit meat she held.

xxxxxNikolai pulled the meat back and put a bit in his mouth as he listened to Ana's response. "I don't know of any hot springs around here..." Nikolai said after swallowing. "The one we found a few days ago was a fluke; they aren't exactly pretty common around here. However, I can check my map if that's what you'd prefer? Or we can find a village and use a hotel shower. I wouldn't want you to catch a cold." He smirked and popped some more meat in his mouth before setting the container down on his log to start taking down the tent.

Ana nodded. "Ya I know, which is why I was trying to think of something else. " Ana replied then finished her strip of meat. Glancing back up at Nikolai, she answered him," If you want to you can. Though I don't know how far away the nearest town is.." She said, her voice trailing off at the end. She tried to remember the last time they were in a town, about two days ago.. How many miles had they traveled since then..? Ana couldn't exactly even make an estimate so she pushed it aside. Smirking at his comment about the hotel shower's, she tucked a stray piece of red hair behind her ear. "Well it's certainly better than freezing cold water. And than getting pneumonia. " She commented back before chewing another piece of her meat. After she finished, and Nikolai started to take down the tent, she started to pack up their belongings onto the horses.
OOC: Just curious, Because I just thought of this; what time period is this in? I mean, we're dealing with princesses and whatnot, yet Nikolai has a cell phone and the mention of hotel showers. cat_sweatdrop

xxxxxNikolai finished packing up the tent and stuffed it into his bag. He then helped Ana put everything else away before he found his map and laid it out on the ground. "Well... we should be right around here," he said, pointing to an area on the map. "And if I'm right... Wow... There may actually be some hot springs nearby." Nikolai smirked as he glanced over at Ana. "It looks like they're closer than the next town, so would you like to go there?" Smiling, he looked down at the map again to double-check that his calculations were correct.

Ana sauntered over to Nikolai, looking over his shoulder to peer at the map. Her hands clasped behind her back, her eyes grazing over it's contents and looking to where they were by Nikolai's gesture. Then, sitting down on her knees beside him to take a better look. Smiling with a small nod, Ana replied,"Sure. Sounds good to me. How many miles west?" She questioned the man, glancing at him for a moment before she clicked her tongue. Maverick came trotting over from where he stood as Ana slipped her foot in to the foothold and swung her leg around the saddle.
OOC: Oh okay. Still princes and princesses in Russia. Lol Well there is a queen of England so why not.

xxxxxNikolai listened to Ana approach, smiling slightly when he felt her kneel beside him. He could smell her perfume or lotion or whatever she used... and he liked it. It was simple, but he found that it was one of the little things he loved about her. After she asked her question, Nikolai eyeballed the distance and started folding up his map. "No more than three or four," he said, standing up to put his map away and climb up onto Rain. "It'll take no time at all if we go at our usual pace." Nikolai smirked and looked over at Ana with a raised eyebrow, challenging her to their typical daily race. That was another thing he loved about her; most women he knew would back out of a competition with him but Ana gladly embraced them and even proved to be a worthy opponent.

Ana nodded,"We'll be there in five minutes. " She joked with a charming smile at Nikolai. It was almost a little exaggerated. Except it was practically true. Every time they would maneuver from one place to another, it was like the Kentucky Derby. Racing one another through the woods; it was a huge adrenaline rush. And what made it all the better was the fact that she was racing or going up against Nikolai. She loved how competitive he was. And one of the many things she loved about him, he didn't take it easy on her just because she was a girl. She was more than glad he treated her like an equal. Catching his hint about the race, Ana smirked and flipped her hair back away from her face. "Maybe you'll come close this time. " Ana teased Last time, Ana had "won" their little race. Usually, it went back and forth; Due to the fact that Ana had found out they were both equally as good as racers. And Maverick and Rain were just as fast as the other; quite impressive too. " What do you say we make it interesting this time?" Winner get's to choose what the loser has to do?" Ana grinned at her friend. She liked making things interesting, and what better way thank to raise the stakes than just with the feeling of winning? And, Ana was hoping to admit her feelings for Nikolai today.. She didn't care if he didn't like her back in the way she did for him. Well, she probably would be she'd get over it. She was sick of trying to convince herself otherwise but she was gonna do it.

xxxxxNikolai rubbed Rain along her neck as he chuckled at Ana's comment. "I still think you need glasses because we definitely tied last time," he told her, nudging his mare to move closer so the princess would not have an unfair advantage. Hearing her proposition, Nikolai thought for a moment. "That's actually not a bad idea," he said at length. "It's about time we start adding stakes to the mix." He grinned and straightened up to look at Ana. "If I win... I really don't know what you should do... I'll think about it while we race!" Winking, Nikolai whipped the reins and Rain took off like a grey blur. "See you at the springs!" he called over his shoulder before hunching down to reduce the drag. What should I make her do if I win... Cook? Hunt for the next week? Kiss me...? Nikolai's focus was on the rough terrain ahead but he continued to consider the last option. Would that be too forward of me...? Will she slap me and call me a pervert?

Ana laughed, nudging Maverick with her foot to get him in a head on position beside Rain as a imaginary finish line. "Whatever you say Nikolai.." Ana grinned, watching as in an instant Nikolai took off ahead of her. Of course now, she had a big disadvantage with the speed and distance between the two. Ana's snapped the Maverick's reins hard and in an instant he was off like a lightning bolt. Hooves pounding against the frozen ground, creating the sound of compressed snow; perfect for snowball making. Dodging and weaving through trees, over fallen branches, Ana could see Rain and Nikolai about twenty yards ahead. Rising up as to get rid of the excessive bouncing on the saddle, she leaned forward a bit like any racer and snapped the reins again. Steadily gaining more speed, Maverick and Ana were soon right behind Nikolai and Rain to the side of them. " Miss us?" Ana said a bit loudly so he could hear her voice over the sound of the thunderous set of hooves below the two of them. Upon wondering if Nikolai was going to be her this time, she really did wonder what he was going to have her do. While on the other hand, what would she make him do..?

xxxxxNikolai already knew that he and Rain would not have the lead for long so he was not surprised when a flash of red appeared in his periphery. "Of course!" Nikolai yelled back, flashing a grin as he glanced over at Ana. "You must've missed us, too, since it didn't take long for you to catch up." Smirking, he returned his attention to the race, continually urging Rain to speed up. Where are those hot springs? he wondered, looking up ahead for any sight of steam. There! He directed Rain on correct course and punched a fist in the air when they were the first to reach their destination. "Yes!" Nikolai exclaimed, pointing a finger at Ana. "We have finally redeemed ourselves after three losses!"

Ana grinned at her head, casting a quick glance at him before looking back ahead to avoid a collision with a tree. "But of course, what would we do without you?" Ana said equally loud with a bit of sarcasm but good humor. Looking back head, Ana tried to figure out just where these hot springs were. Apparently, they weren't far away because instantly Nikolai urged Rain harder. Ana dug her heel a bit deeper in Maverick's side so he would pick up his speed. Ana smiled, shaking her head as she pulled on the reins a bit as to allow Maverick some room to slow himself down. She would admit it, she had lost this time. Looking back at Nikolai at his last comment in a victory statement, the red headed princess grinned. "Ah-ha! So you ADMIT you lost those times! " She said with a warm smile then laughed. Nearing the spring's edge, Ana slid off of Maverick's back after he stopped and returned her attention back to Nikolai. "Alright Alright, you won. What do I have to do?" She asked with a small smile as she planted her right hand lazily on her hip.

xxxxxNikolai chuckled as he slid off Rain and led her to a low branch to tie up her reins. "I suppose I do," he told Ana as he fed an apple to his mare. "But this win is so much more meaningful since there are consequences involved." Grinning, he pat Rain's side as he looked around for a source of fresh water. The water in the springs appeared to be the only water around so Nikolai would have to remember to give his mare something to drink later. "As for what you should do... I still need to consider my options." He winked and started digging through his bags for his black gym shorts. "Now, no peaking while I go change." Nikolai smirked and wandered off behind a big tree. Taking a deep breath, he stripped out of his lower layers and pulled his shorts on over his boxers. He then hurried back to Rain and deposited his pants and leggings before taking off his jacket, hoodie, and long-sleeved shirt. "I'll meet you there!" After grabbing his towel, Nikolai made his way over to the springs and dropped it on one of the rocks. He then slipped out of his boots and socks and slowly lowered himself into the water.

Ana smirked at Nikolai, dropping her hand to her side as she grabbed a hold of Maverick's reins. Ana then rolled her eyes, smiling as she shook her head. " I don't think that will be a problem. " Ana stated with a small chuckle before tying Maverick up next to Rain. Now digging through her own saddle bag, she started to wonder if she had brought a bathing suit or something of the sort. Smiling with satisfaction as she managed to find one of her plain black bikini suits she had managed to pack. She started to think about how on earth it got in there, then probably figured it got mixed in with numerous items that were being thrown together in a few short moments. After Nikolai came out, Ana couldn't help but stare for a few moments at Nikolai's muscular chest that was revealed to her. Her cheeks now tinted pink as she cleared her throat and pulled her eyes away before the young man would notice. Sauntering over to behind a larger tree, Ana started to undress herself. And as she finished slipping on her suit, she quickly walked over the small covering of snow on the ground and slipped a foot into the hot spring. "It's freezing out! Damn..." The red head exclaimed before slipping her whole body in up to her shoulders. Sitting a few feet from Nikolai, she closed her eyes for a moment to enjoy the heat of the water.

xxxxxNikolai did not have to wait long before hearing Ana's exclamation. Smirking, he opened his eyes to see Ana's long, lithe body slip into water beside him. He managed to get a decent view of her body in a bathing suit and could not help but think that she had curves in all the right places. Finding himself staring, Nikolai quickly turned away and nodded. "It isn't exactly summer, you know," he told her with a smirk. After giving her a quick glance, he took a breath and submerged himself under the water, wishing he was a fish so he would never have to resurface. What should I make her do...?
