Furiko had no idea how many lions were actually in the kizingo pride so he had no idea if the amount of lion power Ram spoke of was really enough to take out the pride. The longer this conversation got though the more Furiko began to realize it was just becoming a battle of wits. The lion had yet to do much to him at all but pin him down adn try to enrage him which he had succeeded to begin with but now he was seeing that his anger was just causing him to lose. He had to take a different approach to this situation.

Furiko shrugged under Ram's paws. "Well you gotta do what you gotta do. I do hope you enjoy your revenge. I hope you enjoy killing cubs, raping females and breaking lions spirits. Revenge is sweet but how many of your members do you think could kill an innocent cub without being traumatized for the rest of their lives. We simply stole the cubs but you intend to murder ours."

"Why would I waste a generation of young and susceptible cubs?" Ram raised a brow, clearly regarding the male as though he was nothing more than an idiot. "Executing your adults is easy and is a necessity. Your children can be converted, the process will be slow but with the correct methods in place, success is guaranteed," he pointed out and chuckled. He motioned with his chin towards the direction Furiko had come from, indicating that he was no fool and already had a rough idea of where he had to look.

"Just as you have stolen our cubs, we will take yours," he rolled his shoulders in a loose shrug and released a sigh. "If this is the game your pride wish to play then we will play it, the only difference is that our numbers will decimate yours," he continued and returned his gaze to the captive lion. "Rest assured murdering your companions is simple enough, enslaving your females is just as easy and when their usefulness has ended we will put them out of their misery..."

"But your cubs will remain with us," he finished and pursed his lips. "So I will ask you a final time, before I summon the guards to cast you into our gaol until we locate the rest of your companions."

"Where have you taken our cubs? If you tell me, then I will resolve this matter with diplomacy rather than annihilation. The fate and blood of your companions is in your paws."

As he looked around and listened, Miguel soon realized that one of their own had been caught. Taking a daring moment, he crept toward the sounds of talking and peeked from under some foliage at two lions - One wearing a pelt on his back, the other rather... He suddenly cringed. Furiko! He'd helped him and Tulio scout the area! He'd have to hurry back and tell them! But he had to do it without being spotted. Very slowly, he turned and placed his paws, gently moving any stick and stretching over any dry leaf that was in his path. If he stepped on even one of them, someone would hear him and come attack him. He'd hear no end of it from Tulio or his aunt!

Furiko was at war with himself. On the one paw he wasn't sure he could trust this lion to keep his word if he did tell him the location on the other paw he didn't really want to see the pride he had just come to call home decimated by this insane lion. He glared at Ram as he fought his conscience. If Ram really meant what he said then he would destroy them all and it would be his fault. He really couldn't allow that. He had made friends with the lions of the pride. He sighed feeling defeated in a way but he had to keep telling himself he was saving many lives.

"Fine... But I'm not telling you. I will show you the place where they are and if you aren't true to your word I will tear you apart with my last breath."

Eusi jumped as he was grabbed by this stranger. what was happening? he didnt know, but e squirmed like he never did before but wasn't freed from the lionesses grip. he fell limp in her mouth while she ran farther from his pride. He was scared out of his wits and wanted his mother. He wanted to yell, but what if she killed him? then he would never be back with his family! he had to wait. they would find him. he was sure.

It always worked, without fail they always caved. Ram was aware that these were dirty tricks, but if the Bahari were going to survive then he would tarnish his reputation. He would most likely go down in history as the only 'cruel' ruler within the pride, but in times of crisis indecision and weakness would serve no purpose other than to guarantee a loss. If he had to lie, blackmail and torment his way to success then he would do so, especially when he had so many vulnerable cubs to defend - they were the next generation and he could not afford to lose them.

Their loss would guarantee the destruction of the pride.

His expression didn't soften as Furiko conceded defeat and for the time being Ram kept the lion pinned. He would release Furiko when he received additional support from some of the other members, until then, Furiko would remain incapcitated.

"A wise choice," Ram murmured with a nod. "You are not so foolish after all."

"It's a genet," she corrected, searching around for the very creature. She at least knew what the little thing looked like. Poor Vainamo had nothing but her word to go on!

"Well, even if we don't find the genet, we should still be able to track them from here. They were going towards the mountains," she told the lion.

"My bad..." Vainamo replied as they soon came upon Ram and his captive. Oh...so they did have a captive. And had he heard right? The captive was going to show them where they'd taken the cubs? Well this was certainly a turn of events! Vainamo couldn't help but feel uneasy about it though....

"Don't worry too much about confusing different species of little critters," she told Vainamo. "What's important is that he knows where we're going."

Yes, they had a captive, but as Sarcire and Vainamo approached, it didn't look like he was being particularly cooperative. Well, that's why they were following the genet instead. The stranger lion wasn't cooperating and so they'd have to rely on their friend to lead them to the missing cubs.

Miguel suddenly froze, fully hearing what was going on. He looked back, horror in his face. Biting his lip, he spoke in a whisper. "Oh no, Furiko, no, don't take them back to the pride..!" He had to get back to the Kizingo'zaa before Furiko and this other lion did. He had to warn the others, keep everyone safe. Well, relatively safe. He had to... He had to get moving! Still carefully moving, he hurried his steps as he stepped over sticks and leaves, wondering if monkeys were dropping this stuff all over the ground just to thwart anyone trying to sneak around.

Eglantine had somehow gotten away unseen, and gotten over the border with cub in tow before the guards could secure the border. Perhaps she had been spurred on by fear. Now that she was as out of danger as she could foretell, she curled up on the ground and nestled the poor cub - one so it wouldn't get away, and two, for both their comfort. She kept repeating over and over how sorry she was.

She could see now, though, that the pride she had grown up in was not her home any more, and she had been played in to kidnapping the cub. the flowers wouldn't want this. But she couldn't just let the cub go in this strange place so far from home - it'd likely get eaten! And she couldn't go put it back - she'd get killed! So she had to carry on for now. She'd work out her future later. If she had one. If the Bahari came and sought bloody justice...well, then she'd deserve it. And there'd be no need to worry about the future.

Furiko just gazed at Ram with empty eyes. He wasn't proud of giving in but he didn't know what else he could do. He could try to escape on the way there or he could try to lead them off in a completely off landish direction. He was trully worried for the pride. He had no clue if any of his pride members were nearby hearing him or if they would turn on him for giving in. He just knew he had to figure something out to keep his pride members alive and possibly a way to get away from Ram so he could warn the pride himself. He needed to think fast what he would do though or things could easily turn bad.

As he moved, Miguel stumbled upon something. In fact, he tripped on it with a loud brush-moving crash. He sat up in a panic, then spied what he'd tripped on - A cub! He looked back, knowing someone had heard him. He swallowed, then made a snap choice. "Furiko! I'll tell them you put up a brave face against them, but they beat it out of you! Whatever it is they got out of you!" He then grabbed the cub, jumping and running. Cubnapping wasn't normally in his repertoire, but then there were a lot in their pride who didn't normally stoop to this. He'd get over it eventually, and hopefully the cub would get over such a volatile introduction to Gypsy life.

Vainamo and Sarcire had timed their return to perfection. Ram was already aware that they had yet to follow the Genet but all the same, their return meant that the odds were more heavily in Ram's favour. Before the pair had the opportunity to gain further distance he cleared his throat and motioned for both the lion and lioness to come closer. He would have preferred to have an entourage of guards, but when it came to scouting missions he only needed to gain a rough idea of borders to cause havoc later.

"Our guest has decided to show us where they've taken our cubs," he said with a wry smile and finally released his iron grip on Furiko. "He will of course lead us to the correct location and I will know if he is lying," he paused briefly to eye Furiko. "If his information does not sync up to that of our Genet witness and scout," he pointed out darkly.

"Would you be so kind as to accompany us while he provides us with directions? I don't believe I will be able to escort all the cubs back on my own," he murmured delicately.

Alas it seemed that for now Furiko was outnumbered!

Vainamo focused on Ram, then looked to the genet, then back to Ram. Who were they to follow? He wasn't good at making these decisions himself. Luckily Ram made up Vainamo's mind for him, and the lion nodded.

Vainamo couldn't trust the captive. He couldn't trust anyone grimey enough to still cubs out of their own homeland! Still, he wasn't as witty or ruthless as Ram. But if this guy tried walking Ram into an ambush or something....

"Gladly. I want them kiddos back."

None of them were his blood, but he loved the little ones all the same. They made things fun - after all, Vainamo still acted like a big kid sometimes himself!
