If you find them you should try them ~ I guess since fish and chip shops are really popular and common over here that they sell more food maybe? Most of the ones I've seen here are fast-food type places, or low quality dine-in. We have seafoodcentric places that are fabulous, but no 'nice' fish and chip shops that I can think of. We have a couple nice-ish seafood restaurants but not many, we probably only have a few because of how we have a dock ... I'm landlocked aside from the great lakes, but even those are over a hundred miles away. Land sucks some times because the sea can be so nice even though I'd rather not swim in a dock for obvious reasons, I'm about an hour or two away from a beach ~ Shame about how Britain has awful weather sometimes and is has barely any hot days... The weather here in Ohio is..... ehhhh. In the summer, it's too hot to really do much outside (a humid sort of hot- we can all but drown in the air here) but spring and autumn are nice when the weather cooperates. SO MUCH RAIN HERE, it makes me sad ; n ; but if I ever go to somewhere like Florida, i'd probably melt...

I think Florida is a dry heat- I've been there once and it wasn't as bad as it is here. The actual temperature was higher but there was less humidity so you didn't feel it as much.

I've only ever been to Spain and Italy so I can't comment on Florida sadly but I know that it was so humid in Italy I felt like I was dying..

The actual temperature was higher but there was less humidity so you didn't feel it as much. I've only ever been to Spain and Italy so I can't comment on Florida sadly but I know that it was so humid in Italy I felt like I was dying.. It gets incredibly humid here in Ohio sometimes :< I hate it. I have a sister who lived in Arizona for the longest time- in Vegas, actually. The temperatures there were higher, but she said that because there was no humidity, it was easier to deal with. I still don't think I'd want to live in the middle of a desert - m-

I still don't think I'd want to live in the middle of a desert - m- I guess if you live somewhere for so long you get used to the heat but never the humidity :c humidity sucks so bad, even worse in the rain....
