"Absolutely," Ace made his exchange with Poke and nodded. He took her Cricket and carefully slid her in the pile of his own cards he was keeping. "I couldn't open them all, no way," he shrugged. "There's something about keeping the un-opened packets that is just as delightful as the rare cards too." Ace then swiped up a booster pack with his tail and more meticulously than anyone else who'd approached the booth opened it slowly.
The greed demon glowered suddenly but did not show King the cards he got. "Just some more deck pieces, no holos," he sighed. "I'll have to rip through a few more later maybe.." It wouldn't matter anyway though as he was creating a massive collection of holos after his costumers anyway.

King smiled. "Well, the rares are meant to be rare. I'm sure that given enough, you'd run across one on your own. As for myself-" He held up the pack he'd bought. "I'll keep this one till I'm back at my booth. If I lack, I suspect I'll be back. My luck ha to turn around at some point no?"

"Psssh." Ace whipped around sneering. "I'm a very particularly.. lucky demon. I think you and I might find my next booster pack to be a lot more rewarding." With that he bowed his head at King. "You can come back any time you want to."!!Heads up, booth is closing soon. Tomorrow I will be rewarding 'you tried' promo cards for those who don't wish to redeem rolls!!

Danny had always secretly LOVED TCGs. It really brought out that hidden nerd in him that he tried to shove into lockers most of the time. They were just so much fun and so full of complex strategies, which even if Danny was dumb most of the time he could think of ways to win. He was a winner after all. He could probably do more then he gave himself credit for. He grabbed his starter packs and opened them quick as he could, but slow enough that he wouldn't damage the cards inside. If he wanted to sell them later they had to be in mint condition. Most of them were in fact terrible and would slow down his deck. But some of them he had been damn lucky to get on his first try. He pulled out a Halo Card and grinned. He could base his entire deck on this card- or he could turn it in for a prize...damn him he needed the prize. Pepzilla SN: Soarin` Prize: Abhorrent Griftrix

Hell this guy could get better rares than he. Maybe the next pack Ace would open would have ALL. HOLOS.
"Very nice pull, heh." Grinned the demon before handing over the prize in exchange.

Phil returned to check the quality of his cards against some new ones after his run-in with the snow mound. Receiving another pack from Ace, his eye hadn't been tracing over the cards this time for rarity but for brand-new versus his current lot which may or may not have been blemished by moisture.
"Oh good, they don't appear to be damaged any. Sometimes things happen, you know? Snow could fall on you and all of your cards could turn into mush! Just never know when it's coming."
Or so that was his concern.

"Yes and if you got snow all over these cards then it would melt and devalue them completely," Ace snidely remarked to Phil. "Not to mention your opponent would be very well aware of your card in hand if he saw it wrinkled and damaged like this:"
The greed demon pulled a single particular card out of the chest that appeared to have ran into the washer once too many times. He pretended to sniffle and flung it back in the box. "But I tend to keep them all anyway, heh heh heh.." he smirked.

Lizzy was attracted to the banners - they featured school faculty, after all - although she had no idea what... This booth was about. Still, she took what she was given, looking very much like a scareling on Christmastival as she opened each pack with care, pulling the contents out.
Most of them were common, and then she found herself staring at the very bare man chest of one of the teachers.
... The temptation to trade it away for a minipet was strong, but it was her only uncommon card. She wasn't entirely sure what that meant, but... It was her only one! That counted for something, right? Looking unsure, she held out all 10 cards in a fan to look at them all, before turning to smile sheepishly at the owner of the booth - a demon she had never seen around before, "Hi? It's fine if I want to keep them all, right...?"

O A O"Oh my, oh my. T-that's true!" He hadn't even considered that the wear and tear of his cards could lead to bad gameplay. "Then I suppose it's a good thing I got some doubles now!" His current pack had replicated all the common cards he'd already had save for one, so if need be, there was at least that. The mothboil looked over Ace's worn out card, genuinely believing his sorrow of having lost it's pristine condition. "I'll keep them all then too! And maybe get a case for them like that as well. That way there's less potential for getting papercuts with them in the open! Or leaving them open to elements." But mostly it was about the papercuts...

Eisheth decided to try her luck with the Random Gods again; besides, the alchemist actually grew some interest in the card game. She was trying to act like she's the professional already, but a tiny part of her actually wanted to become a professional and collect ALL THE RARES. Receiving another pack from Ace, she carefully examined her loot: her eyes slowly started to roll, as she checked every card: - 3 Nergal Eyes in a row (70, 66, 20); - one Demon Breck (89) ; - one Monster Norvegicus Rattus (91); - one Wakebird (13) - one Rare Monster Hellma Shox (96); - two silver seeds (67 and 67) - and finally... her eyes were not cheating. It was a GOD CARD: Jack Skellington! (100) For a moment Eisheth simply could not believe her own eyes: she heard a talk in that booth before: Jack Skellington was a dream for almost all the players, and could easily make their day... or may be their life. Thinking rationally, the horseman decided not to attract additional attention to her find, and touched Ace's sleeve showing him the glowing card. " Would that be interesting for you?", she smiled with her eyes. Pepzilla OMG *no words*. Can I ask for 2 tokens + Glitch Scale Sprite SE? Thank you so much!

Diana came back after her interesting moment at the kissing booth. She figured she needed a break and thought that opening another pack would be just what she needed right now. So walking up to the card booth she grabbed one more of the free packs and then leaned against one side of the booth as she opened it. "Well, you'd think my race would be more lucky eh? Only two uncommons this time and the rest were all commons." She muttered as she looked over her cards once more to be sure. Her wings droop slightly at her luck before she looks over to the owner of the booth. "Guess this pack wasn't any better than the last?" she said to him with a slight smile.Pepzilla Consolation prize please? 2UC/8C

Kyrie wasn't one to really play with cards, much less actual card games. But the booth was shiny and the packets were shiny and the demon manning the booth and the booster packs was also pretty shiny. *v* Dem horns~
She didn't seem particularly bothered by the smug air said demon exuded and floated over, all flowers and sugar in her smile as she selected a pack and delicately tore it open.

Alistaire was fascinated by the cards.
"How very intriguing. So there are a certain number of them, and each one is representative of a certain thing, and the number of those things is divisible by the amount of cards in each pack..."
And on it went for several more moments, Alistaire making little jots in a black notebook every few moments until he actually opened the pack of cards.ITEM-FEAR Candy x2 ENVIRONMENT-Haunted House ITEM-Silver Seed ITEM-Malcolm's Staff x2 EVENT-All My Friends are Dead EVENT-Cricket's Babies EVENT-Walkerbird x2 ITEM-Nergal Eye[ minis > kuromizuki ]pepzilla U TRIED /all duds, so promo card plz C: <33

"Half the strategy behind playing card games is noticing your opponent's reactions and looking for particular marks on the back of their cards," Ace nodded sagely to Phil. "Keeping a case is always a very smart idea," he added then made billowing gestures for the building traffic coming in. Danny's return was given a tch tch tch. She would find those shinies one day. Maybe.
Eisheth had Ace standing on edge again with her return but for the most part she seemed genuinely interested in the cards rather than policing the greed demon. While she was busy opening the pack he blinked to see Diane again and leosquinted in her direction. What did she mean by her race. Was she a greed demon too? He continued to squint thoughtfully trying to decipher whether or not that was the case when suddenly he felt a tug at his arm.
"SWEET SHINING JACK-"
Ace practically roared with delight when his eyes beheld the card being shown to him. So much for keeping Eisheth's find a quiet exchange. The greed demon nearly drooled as he was handed the card and had to breathe for a minute before handing over the prizes to the horsewoman. Shivering, he opened up the glass case behind him and pulled out a special casing to carefully slide the treasure in.
"B-beautiful.." he stuttered. It was the next best thing to a thank you, when the greed demon was very shy to the word. Was he... crying? For the second time in a public setting like this, Ace was wiping his eyes away after sealing up the card and let out a deep sigh. He'd been so especially ecstatic that he'd hardly noticed Kyrie coming over. "Oh my," he then rolled his head and cracked his neck. "Very unfortunate that she has stolen everyone's luck," he said to those non-winners. "But you still get promos for visiting this booth."
Slowly he peered over at Alistaire and raised a brow. "Indeed... ahem.." Ace wasn't so bothered by the boil's math skills. Ace loved card counting in fact, but the hesitation to open the pack was enough to rile his impatience.
