Highway to Hell

He was going to try the chopper, this time, keeping mind of his manhood. This time, it hit him in the face.

Freya returned to Christof's booth, instantly soothed by the familiarity of the patchwork layout. She couldn't see her friend anywhere, but she played his game because it was what he would have wanted.. and it was a gentle, soothing game that did not require her thinking too hard.

Of course, Firth had to come and ruin her zen. It was touching her leg, and she threw the box at it, trying to get it to shoo. Ah, but what a mess, Christof would not be pleased.. or perhaps he would. Either way, she plucked out a piece of patchwork quilt to help clean up.

So she took the little shovel, and poked around in the tiny graves, smiling to herself. Christof, you were so charmingly strange~

11-15: As you're busy digging, Firth hobbles towards you, sniffing about your leg. No matter how much you try to ignore him, or shoo him away and tend to your game, he won't leave. Finally, he pulls out a tape measure from underneath his metal hat and starts measuring your various "parts". Throwing the heavy shoebox of dirt seems to be the only way to get him to scram.

He figured he'd try his hand at the game and was so far pleased to be doing well. Until he saw the finger. And then something snatched it away. And then Before felt ill. 8CCCCC

As the witch had already seen one Vice President, she felt it only fair to go about seeing them all. And Christof was next on her list! But, naturally, she was immediately distracted by a game. A digging game!
Now, usually a bit hesitant toward getting dirty, dirt was another matter entirely. Because dirt originated from the Earth, and the witch was very much into elemental magic and therefore had more or less aligned herself with such, Belladonna had absolutely no qualms about taking up the shovel and carefully scratching back some dirt from one of the boxes. She just didn't go about doing it very quickly, is all...
Of course, by the time she finally scratched enough dirt away to reveal a box, she was not surprised to find it was full of... Grossness. The witch frowned at it, then frowned at the Lepus who only glared back at her.
"Well, that's a whole other box of worms." Then she winked at it.
Then she quietly mourned the fact that no one but her found that funny.

Disappointed her joke didn't go over as well, Belladonna instead scooted over to another one of the boxes, shovel in hand, and began anew.
"You know... Being a Lepus can't be all that bad." She tittered absently to the Patchwork Lepus who only continued to glare. "You're cute, so what's the worst that could happen?" Slowly she continued to dig, as she wasn't fully prepared to soil her clothing with dirt. On any other normal occasion she'd use her hands, but tonight, she had to remain pristine! "Except for the odd experimentation, naturally..."
The witch was only one tick away from listing all the wonderful things a Lepus of its nature, stature and position in life could accomplish when she was distracted by something. A coffin sort of something! Quickly she dug out around it and managed to even pop open the lid without getting any dirt on her person. Inside was a tiny, little scale that made her "awwww".
She plucked it, winked once more at the Lepus and turned to find the owner of the booth.

Jordan was still getting used to the golem. And its footwear. Heels. Why did it have to be heels again? At least this golem's appearance wasn't too bad a mismatch for his not-terribly-feminine voice.

He had a vague recollection of having seen the patchwork at this booth at the Floresctival last year; this year, though, it appeared that the creature was running for Student Council president. That was a change in ambitions. It wouldn't be too odd for a fellow patchwork to check out the booth; and besides which, it seemed that there were minipets available as prizes.

He wobbled over to the booth and leaned over to peruse the items available on display; buttons, pens, tokens, minis. On one end of the booth, tiny "graves" sat waiting to be dug up. It was amusing, in a morbid kind of way, but wasn't that true about so much here? Jordan picked up one of the little shovels.

16-19: Digging carefully and masterfully, you unearth what appears to be one of Christof's fingers. At least it was SOMEBODY'S finger at some point, but now it is just a finger. A little patchwork lepus leaps up to snatch the snack away before sitting on the edge of the booth canopy to nibble at it like a grotesque carrot.

There was something in the bottom of the box. Unfortunately, as Jordan uncovered it with careful scoops of dirt, he realized that it was not a prize. Well, he guessed that some monsters might see it as a prize, but it certainly wasn't anything he wanted.

He was happy enough to let the lepus take it for a snack.

As a note, students & horsemen do not recognize these slightly nicer prototype golems.))

Ami sighed. She'd literally been to two booths and she already hated this place. The only thing keeping her going was the constant reminder of money. She needed new clothing desperately, and if minipets was the way to earn them, then so be it.

A grave digging game. Somehow she was reminded of cheesy children's halloween parties. Except this was real dirt.

One ugly dog- cat?- thing came up to her and started sniffing her. With a cruel grimace, Ami kicked the thing away. It persisted and began measuring her, until she was a screeching, yowling mess. Only a whack from her shovel finally got the thing to leave her alone. ******** Halloween. She hated this shithole.

Wandering around by herself had been rewarding in its own way and she was rather enjoying herself. She wasn't sure if the others would catch up, but in the meantime she had wandered over to another booth calling for votes. Bewildered she looked over the assortment of supplies sitting on the booth and gave a tiny nod to the halloweener sitting behind the booth. It wasn't her place to meddle in their affairs and she inched away towards a set of shoe boxes.

It was curious how they were set up into a game of sorts and she grabbed hold of the plastic shovel, staring down at the tiny graves. The lepus shoving things into the dirt had ignored her for the most part and she stared at the graves in wonder, before deciding on one.

It took her longer than anticipated to reach the bottom of the tiny grave and she looked at the box with a smile on her face. That ended abruptly when it was opened and she noticed the maggots crawling over each other. "Hmph." She scowled and closed the tiny coffin.

Things could have gone worse, but they definitely could have gone better.

Highway to Hell

Before she had a chance to walk away she heard the rumbling and it piqued her interest. The chains strained as she approached and she tilted a head while thinking over her options. During her game with the graves she had heard a yelp like someone falling from something - now she knew the source.

Iyari's eyes beamed and she hopped onto it without any further hesitation. She'd been on her share of beasts but never one of a mechanical nature. Grabbing hold tightly she felt it lurch and begin to buck wildly. "Hn!" She gripped tighter and held herself well.

Until it slammed backwards and she fell on the ground with a hard thud. "Grrr~!" She dusted herself off, glad to have no one around to see how ungracefully she'd fallen. It had felt like a lifetime on the mechanical monster but had only been about a minute and a half, give or take a few seconds.

At least she'd lasted longer than a minute.

It had taken awhile, but Senga had eventually wound up near the same place Iyari had. The executioner wasn't exactly drawn to the booth; in fact, the sound of the chopper was rather terrifying, and nothing he felt the urge to touch. Still, the horseman stalked closer, pushing back the hood of his pelt to examine the first game... which seemed to be made up of a patchwork of tiny graves.

Peering at them skeptically, Senga decided that if his sister had played it - by this point she was actually on the chopper, which seemed almost laughable, - he could play it as well. It took him awhile to choose a grave to go after, and his wings ruffled in mild fascination towards the lepus attending the graves before he swiped at a miniature shovel and set to work.

In the background, he heard his sister fly off the chopper. Way to go, Iyari.

And really, it was all going well until he got a visitor. And that visitor seemed interest in his... well. It seemed like he was measuring him for his eventual departure beneath the earth, and for that, Senga growled mutinously.

It wasn't enough to scare it away though, so he dug out the shoebox that had appeared at the bottom of his hole and threw it at the offending creature, watching it scram with mild satisfaction before realizing he'd just thrown his potential prize away ********>

She'd had her fill of mechanical beasts and wandered back to the front area of the booth, only to stop dead in her tracks at the sight of her younger sibling. She shook her head, he couldn't have seen the rather un-Iyari-like landing from the creature. At least, she hoped that to be true.

"I see you're still a beacon of poise when it comes to dealing with small creatures." She said through pursed lips, approaching the grave game again. Iyari ruffled her feathers and took the shovel in her hand again. Senga need not know she'd already failed this game once. Well, Senga didn't need to know anything really, but if she could show him up now that would be something to hold over him for a while.

Her concentration buckled as the feeling of whiskers tickled her leg and she kicked towards the offending creature a few times. My he was persistent. Slamming down the shovel she glanced down, noticing a tape measure. Perhaps it was some sort of genetic reaction between brother and sister or just the first thing that came to mind, but she grabbed one of the boxes and slammed it down to the ground, watching as the mismatched animal darted away.

Any chance of a prize went with it.

"Damn." She said with a shake of her head, staring back to Senga. "Seems we have the same little admirer."

This booth... sort of scared her, Syd thought as her tiny golem body (see avatar) headed for the patchwork, hodgepodge booth. But they were giving out minipets, right? That's what she had come for. So boldly (and walking a bit like a chicken) she--in a male body, stepped up to the booth and wondered what in the hell cat boxes were doing as a game.

She reached up, taking one of the grave digging boxes, but blinking as it tugged on a string. So she had to stand on tiptoes (sort of, she didn't really have toes, did she) to dig through the box. She had a serious expression on her little boil face, making her look very much like a child.

Except that creepy bunny creature seemed extremely interested in Syd. The golem boil took a step back, then tried pushing him away, but nothing seemed to work. Finally it got so bad that she threw her box at it. "Go away already!" she told it.

Then she realized she'd tossed her box... well... that sucked.

Alexander had finally decided it was about time he visited the student council candidate booths. It had taken some time to sneak away from his mother, but he'd eventually done it, and now he was going to use this time to make a decision on who to vote for in the upcoming election.

The first booth he came upon for vice president drew in his interest, and he stepped forward to have a look at the games and read up on any information this Christoph had available. He nodded thoughtfully to himself before deciding to try out the games, and made his way over towards the tiny shoebox graves, picking up a plastic shovel and getting to work.

He had only dug out a couple of scoops of dirt when he felt his shovel hit against something. Oh, had he won a prize so soon? Curious, he pulled out the small box and opened up the lid, only to be greeted by the sight of maggots squirming around within. Ha, cool! He set the lid back down with a chuckle and put the box back in the dirt.
