Eric paused for some time. "That is weird, so would be that girls disappeared for days, months or all together. That didn't seem like normal procedure at all." He added, clearly they did not have the whole picture on all of this. He followed Mina inside the inn. Then came another question.

"So, how are we doing this? You going to make me sleep in a closet again, because that would be rather mean. I only just made love to you, ya know." He joked, they had enough for two rooms, but Eric figured that would just be a waste of money.

Blushing, Eric turned his face away from Mina. "The closet bit was the most ridiculous thing I've ever done." He eyed their concierge, who was absolutely flustered by their romance story. Quickly nodding her head, she motioned for the two to follow her to their room after receiving payment for the night's stay. It was a rather nice room, smaller than the one in the breeding house, but nonetheless cozy.

Before she could even be properly thanked, she was gone. The last thing that concierge thought before exiting was calling the two freaks for the antics.

Eric chuckled as he took is things, leaving on nothing more than a vest and a pair of boxers. "Forgotten how useful a clock was i'm guessing?" He asked Mina, true to word, Eric slid a gun underneath his pillow and wasted no time in getting into bed himself.

(Internet seems to be dropping today.)

Eric shook his head and shrugged his shoulders. "Mina, there's no part of you I haven't already seen." He answered her, if anything he didn't care. He smiled and brought the sheets on her once she got into bed with him. "Didn't expect to get this friendly with you."

(It's been on the fritz for a few days well, turns out theres an outage in my area and it's being worked on.)

"Yeah..." Eric trailed off on his thoughts for a bit, wondering if things would be just be a one nighter. By the way she worded things, he hoped that their friendship would only continue to grow from there. Eric hugged her body close to his. "I'm glad that it did, Mina. You've been my only friend in this world."

The next day...

Eric woke up next to Mina, smiling to see she had not awaken before him. "Light sleeper, but doesn't seem to be a morning person." He sad to himself, sitting up to stretch, Eric's hand slid across her abdomen, which seemed to have swelled a bit more from yesterday. Looking underneath the sheets, that just confirmed his suspicions, Mina did grow overnight.

He poked her stomach, noticing it jiggle and wobble strangely like gelatin rather than rubberband into place. What surprised him was when a few moments later, it wobbled on it's own accord! He took a step back, that was beyond freaky.

"Okay, lets nots not poke it again..."

Whatever it was that took residence in Mina's womb, decided to stir two more times before going motionless once more. Perhaps maybe to prove to him he wasn't seeing things the first time.

Eric watched Mina head to the bathroom in a half asleep induced daze. He waited, and waited, waited some more. She took an awfully long time to get out of the bathroom. One she Mina finally did and asked her question, he shook his head in response.

"Ever considered it's that concept thing that's living underneath your skin? It's gotten bigger, by the way."

Eric began to scratch his head over this. "That's reasonable." He couldn't believe she was blushing at it. Did she forget that thing was supposed to be some sort of beast? "Don't get attached to it now, the doctor only says it's good."

He got out of bed and put on his armor, perhaps she should do the same while she still could. Almost forgetting, he remembered to pull his gun out from his pillow and back into it's holster.
