Ai was one of the slowest people to enter the room that the ominous hissing had come from. What she walked into was utter chaos. A giant pokemon and a ton of trainers and pokemon were battling! She thought that it would be best to escape while she could, but as she tried to sneak out again, the Kangaskhan spotted her and shot an Ice Beam in her direction.
Kumiko, who had spent most of the past few minutes cowering, saw that Ai was in danger yet again and swooped in front of her, responding to the Kangaskhan's attack with an Ice Beam of his own. The attacks met in midair and exploded into a flurry of snowflakes, but Kumiko was knocked back by the blast a little.
"Kumiko! Be careful!" Ai cried out in alarm, catching the mew before he met any further harm. "We should just get out of here..."

Ai screamed as one of the enraged pokemon's attacks headed her way again. She leaped to the side, tripped, and slammed into the ground hard on her shoulder while she was still clutching the baby mew to her chest.
"This is crazy," she said, more to herself than the mew in her arms.

Iovi started flailing wildly, which never ends well. None of her desperate 'attacks' landing, she found her feet taken out from under her and she landed hard; the air forced out of her body. Gasping, she tried to get to her feet before she was attacked again.

Kumiko squirmed free of Ai's grasp and zoomed straight at the giant pokemon. He was very afraid-- afraid that he would get hurt, that Ai would get hurt... But he was also angry. He loved Ai even if he wasn't sure whether she loved him back, and he would not stand for her being put into any more danger. He had to take down this big ol' meany!
"Kumiko! Come back!" Ai shouted in alarm. She wanted to run away, not stay and fight!

Once again, the Kangaskhan struck without giving them time to respond. Fin's back slammed into the wall, and Caddie tumbled almost into her lap. "Down, but not out," Fin wheezed, wincing as she put a hand to what she thought might be a broken rib. The trainer reached for her pouch with one hand as she gently stroked Caddie with the other.

Lyle looked around and saw that his companions' pokemon still seemed to be ok, so he let Spinel keep battling. Though when he looked at his pokemon, he saw that the Sableye was starting to look pretty tired, too.
Spinel dashed forward to attack the Kangaskhan, but she apparently had gotten wise to his tricks. She dodged his strike and swung back, knocking the smaller pokemon aside.

That was not a bidoof, and she looked angry. That was probably not good, though the boy did suppose that if he was being invaded and then attacked, he would be angry as well.
"Ialu, you up for more fighting?" The golbat squeaked tiredly, but nudged him in agreement. "Alright. Let's use Poison Fang on that Kangaskhan." His attack hit, but he was hit as well, caught by her tail.
