"Right.. Well, how about taking some space to yourself? I see that you've been watching what the other kid's are doing and not so much what YOU are doing." he said smiling "full focus and numbing concentration is the first step from being able to do it carelessly. Why don't you go to an empty classroom or sit outside?" he encourages training which put students in a problem solving situation where no assistance were near. Giving the student the oppurtunity to teach herself. "Hope that helps!" he said with his normal huge smile. Ko also noticed another student that had just walked in. In his teacher guide book, it said to punish the student. But since it was the first day for his class, Ko couldn't bring himself to it.

Yae craned her neck, trying to see out the window. The two boys were off in the distance a bit, and not at the best angle for viewing from the classroom. She could make out the boy she hadn't met pinning Fudou down. It didn't look like a fair fight, all of a sudden. The whole spectacle left her feeling anything but confident about an eventual spar, and so she turned away from the window feeling rather ill.
Realizing the instructor had spotted her, Yae smiled politely and approached him. "Good morning Sensei," she greeted formally, with a bow. "My name is Yae. I was transferred here from another class, recently," she added, realizing that detail wasn't important. "I'm ahead of most of the students here, except the two boys outside."

Ko hoped that Sakurayuki-chan was satesfied with that and was forced to tend to the next student. "Okay, let's see.. Yes! Here you are!" he said after quickly spotting the girl's profile papers. "Hmm.. Again - someone has not written in the previous lessons that you've attended. Have you done handseals? Chakra molding? Any jutsus? Where are you at?" Ko scratched alittle on his soul patch. "Man.. I really need to get someone to fix these things up for me.. That other teacher must have been some kind of a lazy guy to mess things up this much!"

"Right..." she murmured to herself as she thought about it. "I'll go to the classroom on the other side where it's empty. Thank you for the advice sensei!" she bowed, and hurried away to the empty room to practice. In crossing the room, she noticed a new person come in and addressing their sensei. Curious as to why she was late, she cocked her head a little, but promptly moved to go practice her molding. Closing the door behind her, she looked around. This place was really a mess, with desks and chairs pushed to the back and dust settled around everywhere. It looked like not many people had touched this place, looking at the state it was in. 'No matter,' she thought. 'That just means there will be less people to bother her from my learning.'
Walking over to the center of the classroom, she moved a couple of things that were cluttering the place, and made a small patch of space for herself. Well, since she had rested, she had a little more chakra than before, and was heartened to see that it had returned to her. Now, she'd start practicing again in earnest this time.

Now concentrating on the inner force within her, she held her chakra again, this time erasing any thoughts of anyone else other than her. Feeling the tug of the power within her, she held her stance in the sign of the Tiger, building up more chakra. It was now more concentrated and focused, and easily flowed in the directions she wanted, but there were a few kinks that needed to be worked on. Focusing a little more, Sakura kept feeding it equal amounts of her energy to the molding process. In theory, she thought, the chakra is supposed to be molded through her spiritual energy and physical energy, but she couldn't really divide the lines between the two. Now that she was alone, she was starting to grasp the idea a bit more clearly thanks to the increased awareness of her inner self and chakra coils. It really seemed to help, and Sakurayuki worked it a little harder before letting go of the chakra that she had been molding. It flew away, and left her a little more tired than she expected. However, the feeling of success kept her adrenaline high, and spurred her to start again to master the molding process once and for all.

However, it seemed that she couldn't get the ratio right. Now that she could tell between the spiritual and physical energy a little, using the knowledge was harder than simply relying on her intuition in order to get it right and mold the chakra. However, even though instinct was definitely an important aspect of being a kunoichi, there still needed to be things that she would need to know and feel in her head. Feeling a little down again, she concentrated on the swirl based on feel and then tried to measure as to how much chakra she had used, and at what timing she had done it. It wasn't an easy task though, and the solution to her problems kept eluding her. She decided to let go of the chakra and try again, with a fresh mind.

Yae shrugged. She had been keeping track of her own progress. It didn't bother her all that much the academy hadn't taken precise tabs on what she had been doing.
"So far I've done handseals, bunshin no jutsu, and henge no jutsu," she paused for a moment, letting him absorb. "Also, Fudou and I started learning kakuremino no jutsu, but... well, he still needs practice." Yae knew she was just as inept as, if not more than Fudou when it came to that jutsu. However, she didn't want to admit it, first impressions being so important and all.

"Well then.. I wouldn't want you to slack off. Try and pass the time by doing any of the extra credit exercises that's written in your Syllabus Scroll. Until people are done molding chakra, then we'll begin with the Nawanuke" he paused for a moment, "you were given one, correct? A Syllabus scroll" Ko didn't wait for him to reply, instead, just in case the answer was a no, he retrived a Complete Academy Syllabus scroll from his desk and held it loosely in his hand infront of Yae.

Yae took the scroll and opened it without answering. "I have one, but it looks like the new syllabus is a little different," she rolled the paper back up. "So I'll keep it. Thank you," she opened the scroll back up enough to see her instructor's name before snapping it shut once again. "Manabu-sensei."
She wasn't sure how to feel about the new teacher. He sort of struck her as the dumb musclebound type. On the other hand, he hadn't mentioned her tardiness and that bit of lenience had earned him some points. Yae set the syllabus scroll on a desk at the back as she headed outside, placing it next to her old copy. Once on the academy grounds she headed for the track.

1 + 0 = 1 Failure
While the failure was a bit of a disappointment, it didn’t alter Amaya’s overall cheery mood. However, before she had a chance to give the assignment another go, there was a mass of commotion in the classroom and outside. First, Sakura got up to go seek assistance from the sensei. That was a good idea. Amaya may have to follow suit if her luck didn’t turn. Then a new girl walked in. She was incredibly late, though she didn’t seem to care. With her attention pulled away by the new girl, the child missed what the sensei had told Sakura. Damn, she was hoping to steal the advice. Whatever he said made Sakura leave the room. After that the new girl went up and introduced herself. She had multiple lessons completed already, which meant that the new people were still a very small percentage. To top it off, there was a slight commotion outside as two of the students started their spar and the Inuzuka started running laps.
Wow, there was a lot going on. This was a great distraction but Amaya had to focus. She took in her breath, closed her eyes, and made the dog seal as she tried to focus on her chakra. However, with all of the happenings and all of the different sights that she had just taken in she wasn’t able to focus. When she closed her eyes she saw her new classmate and the boys fighting. The small girl wasn’t sure how she would do fighting, but she would definitely try. Maybe her size would act as some sort of advantage while grappling or something. While all of this was going on in her head, Amaya let her hands rest and abandoned her attempt. There was no way she was getting her mind back on track for this try, so she should just take the time to clear her thoughts and try again in a moment or two.

10 + 0 = 10 Success
In order to bring herself into focus and close off her mind to her surroundings, Amaya found some colorful grains on the wooden table in front of her and let them pull her in. This was another technique that she had learned as a result of her younger brothers. Whenever they would irritate her to the point of yelling, pushing, or taking toys, Amaya would find something simple to stare at for a little while. That would give her the moment of peace she needed and it would let her regroup her mind so tht she could return to whatever she had been doing. While there were no screaming boys, there was a lot of activity, both inside and outside, as well as people talking. These were all very significant distractions while the girl was trying to learn something new and unfamiliar.
Following the twisting of the grain and the fading of colors, Amaya was able to bring her focus back in with only a couple of seconds wasted. Keeping her eyes on the table, the dark haired girl took in a slow, deep breath and only when her lungs started to slow did she close her eyes. Taking what she learned from her last lesson, Amaya made the ox sign and started searching for her chakra. Sure enough, she could feel it flowing through her. Trying to keep all of her concentration where it wasn’t instead of letting it move to the outside world, the child started melding her physical energy and her chakra. Once she was content with the progress, Amaya opened her eyes, feeling the significant drain on the energy she hadn’t been conscious of before that day. She was going to have to rest soon.

10 + 0 = 10 Success
While it just barely worked, Amaya’s focusing technique seemed to be effective enough. There was yet another success under her belt and she was making steady, slow as it may have been, progress. Everything seemed to be slowing down with Sakura being gone and with the new kid getting settled in. Well, Amaya supposed that she wasn’t actually new. If she had heard correctly, the girl who had come in most recently – yes, that was the way to say it – had been transferred from another class. That was odd. Why would they be transferring students so early in the year? To top it off, it seemed like the academy wasn’t keeping very good track of who had completed what assignment. Apparently, things were a bit topsy turvy in the works of the academy. Then again, given the political state of everything it was understandable.
Her mind had wandered just enough to allow her to refocus. Yes, that sounded odd, but it was easier to let herself drift and then come back instead of trying to keep focused on one task for an indefinite period of time; one of the many vices of being young. However, she was slightly matured in comparison to other eight-year-olds because of how much she took care of her brothers, so it was relatively easy for her to refocus – at least comparatively. Closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, Amaya formed her monkey seal and began to focus on her chakra. Like the time before she felt the movement and she flowing as she tried to move in into her physical energy. Was there an actual name for that? She would have to ask since chakra had its own name. Feeling the two melding, the child released her focus, feeling even more energy rush out of her. It was official, she was tired and she wouldn’t be able to do another attempt without pushing herself over the top. While that was okay in certain situations, she didn’t want to pass out during the first day of school. That would be just embarrassing.

Resting Post
While this was still a new sensation for Amaya, she knew when it was time to rest. Having infant brothers meant you knew when it was time to take a break. She had felt that last little “whoosh” of energy leave and it had nearly done her in. However, since the child had gotten to school she had either been talking to people or working on an assignment. Suddenly, she was left with nothing to do and she hadn’t brought anything since she didn’t think they would have as much down time as they did. If she had thought about it in her excitement that morning, the child would have packed at least one of her books. She was in the middle of about six different books and she was dying to finish every one of them. It used to be that she couldn’t start a new book until the old one was finished, but her brothers always managed to move her books somewhere she couldn’t find them for some time, so she had learned to be alright with starting a new book when one was finished. Naturally, the book would show up about half way through the new book.
This brought the girl to her brothers. They had not been happy when she left and she had to sneak out the back of the metal shop. It was unfortunate, but they were going to have to learn to be without her. None the less, it had been sad to see them that upset, so Amaya had actually had a difficult time leaving them behind because of it. Oh well, all five of them would have to get used to it. How had be mother handled her being gone of the day? Hopefully the house would still be above the shop when she got home.

Yae dragged her feet as she approached the track. Running wasn't exactly her favorite exercise. The inuzaka boy ran by her as she procrastinated. In the distance she could make out the two sparring kids. She was a little curious to see how the fight would unfold, but watching wouldn't do anything to remedy her anxiety, or bring her any closer to graduating. In preparation for her jog she started to stretch. However, she had no real conception of how to stretch properly. Once she was done she felt a dull pain throbbing in the muscle of her thigh. Grimacing, she cursed silently and limped onto the track.
