Aminah warmly accepted the care from Keilana. It felt better to have a wrapping on the wound. It made her feel a bit useless, not being able to care for herself, but she didn’t let the feeling stop her from being grateful for a friend in this situation. “I could be doing better. Thank you for the help.” She smiled at Keilana, who was already watching the others in the group that were coming back from the hole the beast had left.

They were carrying bodies.

Aminah had to turn away from the scene. These boys weren’t even older than Aminah herself and the sight of their limp bodies made her wish she wasn’t there at all. She felt terrible for these boys and their families who were hoping the group would bring them back alive.

She couldn’t bear to think about it any longer and followed Keilana into the cavern that the boys’ bodies had come from. The room was full of treasure and Aminah looked in wonder at the mass amount of it in this once sealed room. Keilana started to grab small amounts of it, helping herself to what she wanted. Aminah wasn’t interested in the treasure though. She didn’t really have a need for it. She did find a small gem though; something that glittered in the sunlight and looked absolutely beautiful, like pristine snow. Maybe she could use it to commemorate the young boys. She could attach it to some leather and wear it on her, as a sign of her first adventure and the reason she personally went along with the group; those two boys.

She followed Keilana and Vescillea once more, out into the fresh air. It was incredibly brisk and sent shivers down her skin, the wind biting at her nose.

Shukri's head jerked up at the sound of the bodies hitting the ground, that was not go- oh wait laughing? Confused, Shukri stuffed the piece of gold he's been examining into a pocket and left the hidden room to travel back into the part of the cave he'd entered after climbing down. Immediately Shukri had to resist the urge to laugh himself, Bergchi was really not blessing Maya with luck in her lands. The boy did feel a bit bad that she'd gotten hurt again and that he'd totally failed to realize how hard it would be to get Pacju down there. He was a little awed by Maya's ingenuity instead of the Alkidike relying on others for help, they really were a proud people weren't they?

That didn't stop him from walking over and offering Maya a hand to help get on her feet. "I can't take you anywhere," he teased his friend gently. " I'll have to use all the treasure to pay healers to fix you." Humour in the face of disaster and death, or perhaps it was just the strong chill in the air getting to Shukri.

Coughing once as her laughter ended Maya hesitated before she managed to reach up to place her hand in Shukri's before rising to stand. Pacju left a hissing whine as she moved to stand up giggling again when he teased her about her injuries. "I'm sure it wouldn't be to hard. You have quite a bit of ingenuity." Pausing as she glanced at him for a moment Maya frowned. "Treasure's? what treasures?" Blinking when she looked up to find the corpses of two wind tribe members Maya lost all humor. At least people had paid respect to the dead before passing on. Narrowing her eyes at the glitter that lay beyond. Was that the stolen treasure from the sauti people?

"Do you mean those?" Maya asked pointing towards the exit before looking back at Shukri. He clearly didn't seem to be troubled about two of his own kind being carried out of the room and so Maya figured it was best not to mention them. Besides her kind had become used to the passing of family, they were warriors after all death would come to them all at some point. She certainly had seen her fair share when it came to death. Traveling from her home and mother Aisha Maya had lost two of her own sisters before arriving in Jahaur.

Shukri had been mildly concerned at Pacju's whine, if the Radaku was badly injured he didn't know if he and Maya would carry her out of the mountain. He supposed Takoda could always help but the shifter was probably busy tending to injured people, if he even had magic left to spare at this point. At Maya's question he followed her dark eyes to the room that housed the small hoard and nodded "Yes, it's in there, will Pacju be okay?" His eyes went back to the radaku mount again, maybe they shouldn't dawdle, Pacju might not respond well with prolonged exposure to the cold. Shukri could do little more than be concerned though, he didn't know a Radaku's limits and he had a feeling that if he just started dragging Maya away to the exit it might get misinterpreted by the other Alkidike and start a fight. He had not forgotten the tension from earlier and had no wish to get the wind tribe wrapped up in politics. Vaguely he wondered about the other, darker skinned Radaku he had seen and how it was faring,he had no idea where in the mountain it or it's owner even was right now.

As fresh cool air began to clear the smell of death and rot from the mountain Shukri found himself feeling a little better and yet also sobering up. So much had happened so quickly and now all adrenaline had drained itself from the boy's body leaving him to run on only his stamina and will. This adventure had been nothing like Shukri had planned and when he told the tale to his family he was certain they too would be surprised by how it had all unfolded. The day had all the makings of a grand legend, the monster, the fight, his bravery, the power of many tribes working together, just rewards for the victors. It was not all positive though and Shukri would not leave out his fear, the deaths, guilt and the pain, anymore than he would fail to praise his friends and allies for the great contributions they had made.

After the healing he received from Takoda was done Chalcedony gave a bit of a sigh of relief, shifting his shield in his grasp, before turning to look up to the massive beast that had been taken down by the group and he couldn't even think that they had been a bit of the lucky side. The thing was large, formidable, but it was also old from looks of it. It had shredding wings, it had moved a little on the slow side, it had been hindered by its age. Had it been in its prime they would likely have had a lot more difficult a time, huh? They were lucky he thought to himself before he made a slow circle around the beast, trying to file away the details of the creature, wanting to be able to tell his family all about everything he'd seen and this beast was something that he knew they would want to know about. It was he was studying it that a scale fell off of the beast, likely damaged in the battle, and came to a clattering stop at his feet. Starring down at it for a moment he knelt down, inspected it, then picked it up, "They are going to fight over it." He murmured to himself, looking it over. It was big enough he should be able to break it up, make a necklace for each of them. It was something that would be good to distract himself with he thought to himself, finding that he was often thinking of home and those that were waiting there for him. Shaking his head so as not to concentrate too much on that he tucked the scale away into his pack and turned back to where the others were.

He followed along after the group, making his way into the area that was the beast's den, something that made him wondering how the thing fed itself if it were sealed away... or was it just hibernating and waiting for people to foolishly show up and let it out? He wondered though about that sort of thought though when the bodies of the Wind Tribesmen were found, they hadn't been eaten on, instead they were just tucked away and left to decay on their own, "Strange." He murmured to himself, giving the bodies a momentary glance before looking away, finding himself a unable to really think about it. They were someone's children, siblings, it was sad to think about because all he could think about was what might happen if it were one of his siblings that it happened to. It was going to be tough for the families involved to have to deal with their loss, at least they would get their children back so that they could go through the funeral rites that their people used when dealing with such things.

The sound of the hidden door opening up drew Chalcedony's attention off of such depressing thoughts and toward the strange door, something that he found himself taking a couple steps toward. What was that for? Who would want a passage that led into a place like this? He couldn't help but wonder if whoever had made the door had also put the beast in this place. Did they feed it? Was they why it hadn't eaten the bodies? A strange line of thought and one he brushed aside, there was no proof of any of those thoughts after all so nothing really worry about he thought to himself. Instead he drifted forward to the door, a curious sound coming from his throat as he felt the icy cold air that was coming in through the door, "Strange." He murmured to himself. Sauti wasn't as hot as home but it was far warmer then this new place that they were standing on the verge of. He looked back for a moment toward the way that they had gotten into this place, for a moment thinking on everything that they'd been through tot his point and figured that, despite missing home, he couldn't stop now.

Jacin fell quiet after the battled, a little disappointed with what had happened. He hadn't done well at all, missing twice, and he knew that he had to get in even more practice with his bow. He didn't want to have another moment like that again, especially when his little sister had gotten hurt but the brute of a beast. While some people seemed to be mourning for it after the battle was over the Leaf Tribesman felt nothing but glad to see the thing put down. It had hurt Kei after all so it deserved what it got, not to mention that it was a beast, not a man. There was no reason why they should mourn, the beast had taken them on and it had lost, that was that. Then again this was the mindset of a man who thought that animals were food and little more, he never had understood the idea of pets. Walking over to the inspect the beast where it had fallen he did find himself wondering in a curious manner if it was something they could eat. Probably not, it looked a little on the old side and he knew from experience that, while older animals were still edible, that the meat was normally tough and a pain to deal with. They didn't have time to sit down and stew it for a while to make it easier to deal with so it seemed that the beast would just be left behind. That was the real shame in all of this.

Turning back to where his sister was Jacin's foot bumped against something on the ground, something that caused him to drop his gaze to the ground, and he saw one of the beast's scales laying there, "Hrm." After a moment he gave a shrug, squatted down, and scooped up the scale and tucked it away in his pack. Jacin loved trophies like nothing else and something like this scale would look good among the other things that Kei and himself had gathered and had set up in their house. He meant to get this scale, and far more importantly Kei, back home safely.

His eyes turned to where the one in charge of the group had gone, giving her a curious look, then lifted an eyebrow when he saw the bodies of the two people that they had come here after. That was a shame he thought to himself, but thought to himself that at least they had found them, right? He of rather found them alive though, it would have made the journey, as well as the battle, a little more worthwhile. It was a thought he kept to himself before he turned to look over toward his sister once more. At least she was safe, that was what mattered to him most. After her he found himself looking around the group, half tempted to go over to Takoda to see if he wouldn't heal Kei, but he did seem rather busy, didn't he? He would attempt to catch up with him soon though... something he'd been telling himself since he'd first met with the guy but things seemed to always be dancing in the way of that, such a pain.

When the hidden passage was opened up, and a cold breeze sent through the area where the group was gathered, Jacin gave a little hiss, his ears twitching a bit, "Damn." That was a little colder then expected and far colder then he was used to, but he couldn't help but to be curious as he trotted forward toward the exit, curious to see what was out there. It didn't take long though before they were entering a room that seemed to be filled with glittering treasures of all sorts. Giving a bit of a smile he moved to follow along after his sister into this particular room, watching as she grabbed up some treasure and he couldn't help but to relax a little then, his anger at missing forgotten as she saw that. So she was trying to get ahead of him, huh? He was quick to move then as well, grabbing up a few things as well, so as not to all behind her. He couldn't let his little sister get the better of him when it came to their friendly games after all, though she might be a little ahead of him since she'd done a bit better in the battle then him... then again she'd always been good beating things with large, heavy weapons, hadn't she?

When the beast was brought down Rishima sat there starring, eyes a little wide, and he had never felt so much relief before in his life. The beast had been quite big, was able to deal out quite a bit of damage, it was an exhausting thing just trying to hit it. At least they had won though he thought to himself. Antennae twitching a bit before a hand appeared before him. He blinked his mismatched eyes a couple of times then followed the hand up and looked up at Jerarda, giving his sister a bit of a smile, "Thank you." He said, taking her hand and pulled himself up onto his feet with her help. He set to brushing himself off before he scooped up the weapon that he'd used up off the ground and set to brushing it off as well. Once that was done Jerarda was already moving off, not looking as though she were all that happy at the moment, was she? He wanted to go chasing after her, to see if she was alright, but before he could he was nearly knocked down again as Itzal came running over to him. The big Radaku bumped into him as he got close and set to sniffing at his wounds, looking worried for him.

"It's alright, I am alright, I promise." He said, petting his partner in a gentle manner before he replaced his weapon Itzal's back along with the pack that the beast was already carrying for him. Once everything was situated he set to looking him over, taking in the wounds he had, sure that he must have been nearby when the legendary beast had made its wide, group damaging attack, "You should have backed off farther." He scolded him quietly before giving the Radaku a hug, "I'm glad that you are alright though, you are a good boy Itzal." He praised his pet.

Seeming pleased with the praise and affection his tail set to swishing before moving closer to Rishima and dropped a soggy, slightly chewed on scale into the halfbreed's hands, something that had come from the beast that the group had fought, and something that Itzal had fetched for him though it seemed it was a little chewed on. Once the prensent of sort had been handed off the two of them were once more following after the group toward where they were going, looking down into the hole that led to the floor below, "Hmm..." He glanced over at the Radaku in a curious manner, wondering how he would get down. He opened his mouth to ask but Itzal trotted off on his own, moving to find his own way down, something that Rishi was thankful for since he was far to big to carry down. He gave a shake of his head before making his way down to where the others were, taking in the big, closed off room, and glanced over toward where the two missing men were at the moment, seeming to have been found but not in the condition that the group was hoping for. It was a sad sort of thing for sure and one that had him shaking his head. It really was a shame that they weren't able to make it in time. If nothing else though at least they hadn't become a meal for the beast.

Shaking his head he continued forward, taking everything in around him, wondering how long the legendary beast had been in this place. How lonely it must have been he found himself thinking as he looked around the area they were in, so caught up with his inspection that by the time Itzal appeared and bumped into him that it startled him a little, drawing a squeak from him. Turning to look at the beast he was about to scold him for scaring him in such a manner when the one leading them seemed to find a secret passage that would lead them out of this room and onward. Curiously, antennae twitching, he started forward a few steps. As he did so though he found Itzal once more trotting off in a random direction... or at least a direction that seemed random until he saw the pale Radaku again and he shook his head, "Itzal..." Even despite the big battle it seemed that nothing mattered more then the pale one. Giving a little shake of his head and a chuckle he waited for him to get his greeting done, a bit of a smile on his face. The beast really had his priorities in an odd order he thought to himself but couldn't help but find it cute that he wanted to meet another of his own kind.

Maya ran her hand over Pacju again investigating her companion closer. Shukri had voiced the same concern she felt inside though she didn't want to outwardly admit it. She was already teased enough about a weak heart towards the well being of others, and didn't want more teasing from her sisters in front of him. Small cuts covered the Radaku's shoulders and legs and she was tender where Maya had connected with her durring their fall. Other than that she couldn't find any broken bones and Pacju didn't seem to be showing any other signs of pain. Without turning Maya spoke. "No more injured than you or I. Though the chill in here." Shivering Maya turned to the exit everyone seemed to be heading out of. The air was frigid out there and she silently wondered how her sisters managed to step out there with so little protection.

"I'm not really sure I want to follow the party the rest of the way." She admitted pressing her body closer to Pacju more for warmth than the desire to leave. It was hard fighting the emotions, not to press forward and yet press forward at the same time. Maya loved to explore and learn new things anything and everything was of interest to her, but she also loved the heat. Water was fine as long as she could emerge from it and warm herself. Out there, Maya couldn't seem to see any form of warmth.

Out of the corner of her eye Maya could see Pacju's head turn suddenly before giving a soft rumble to something off in the distance. She had heard that rumble once today, turning to look in the same direction Maya blinked twice in surprise. That was the dark Radaku from earlier, but how had it gotten down here? Where had it come from. Reaching into her bag Maya pulled out some of Pacju's favorite treats offering one to her light beast who devoured it quickly before extending her hand out and promptly depositing another in Shukri's hands and pointing to the unknown Radaku. Stepping forward with Pacju she extended her hand in greeting.

Vescillea glanced to her side, looking at Ayo, Takoda, and the others who had stepped out of the cave to join her. The breeze was cold, their breath freezing in little white puffs in front of their faces. Beyond them, a path led through mountain peaks. It was quite stunning, different than the cool, rocky landscape of Sauti. The peaks were all capped with snow.

The Wind Tribeswoman put out her hand as wet, white flakes began to fall around them. They had certainly not dressed themselves to enter the mountains, but who would have guessed that this is where that cave would lead?

”Vescillea.” The woman looked up, making eye contact with a woman approaching them. Her skin was light blue, her hair a darker shade of the same, blue color. Her eyes were gold, almost glowing. A whip was positioned on her hip. Her fur-trimmed clothing were certainly more appropriate for the area. She looked… almost regal.

”Freya.” The Wind Tribeswoman responded, stepping forward to clasp forearms with the other Earthling, clearly a familiar face.

”We heard an uproar coming from within the mountain and came to investigate.” A small congregation had begun to gather behind the woman known as Freya, all of them of the same coloration with similar, fur-lined clothing.

”There was a beast in the cavern, but we’re safe.”

Freya nodded.
“We will help you with your wounded.”

”Thank you.” Vescillea smiled at the woman before turning to the group still lingering behind her. ”Friends. This is Freya, an esteemed member of the Ice Tribe.”

Freya nodded, stepping forward, her arms extended.
“Welcome to Zena, our home.”
