Kitalpha Hart "Let me know if you do wish to make use of it. I can create the networking."
"Thank you; I will keep it in mind." He offered this friend a skull-stein. "Here, drink up!"
The bartender suddenly remembered something. He crawled into the bar counter and made noise rummaging for something. The clinking of porcelain, glass and steel both made the air ring.
He returned with a massive drinking horn, six feet long, that could not possibly have fit into there (could it?) and placed it on the table. A bit of drink spilled out. "I bet you can't drink the entire thing in one swig -- so drink one swig and we'll see how much is left."

The elf glanced at the horn. "My mouth is big, but not quite that big." She said, drinking from the stein.

Kitalpha Hart The elf glanced at the horn. "My mouth is big, but not quite that big." She said, drinking from the stein. The bartender's sharp teeth flashed in the candlelight as he grinned. "It doesn't look any different from before you drank." A small line engraved into the inside of the horn marked the water level -- and it hadn't changed. "Please, try again."

"Illusions? That's mean." She said, grinning, though she didn't drink from the horn still.

The bartender drank and drank, for a very long time. When he put the horn down, it was perhaps a millimeter lower than before, if anything. "Would you like a hint? Norse mythology." The bartender grinned and offered the horn to Kitalpha again.((I think you'll like the story behind this.))

Kitalpha Hart "Something that fills itself?" ((Maybe ou o)) The bartender laughed. "You're close!" He didn't want to spoil the fun.
((Sorry for being gone so long! But I haven't really seen much of you in Anon III))

"Do you want me to tell you?" The bartender looked like he was going to collapse into giggles; he wasn't usually so giddy. Even he noticed that -- What have I been drinking today that's made me so silly?
((Oh yeah xDDD Should I wake you up?))

The bartender shook his head and blinked. He had returned his head to its earlier state. "As in the old myths, this is the drinking horn of the giants -- and the ocean, in disguise. I did indeed drink it all once, and the next few hours were rather...busy, I suppose; and when it was quite clear that the ocean was now dead, I made that an alternate universe and returned the earlier parallel, where I chose not to do that again." He rolled his shoulders and a joint popped back into place.
((I'll see about it then :3))

The atmosphere having returned to a relaxed state, the bartender set to polishing the counter; he had returned the large horn to its place in the storage rooms. "Is there anything you'd like to drink, Kitalpha?" It was one of the rare times that he addressed her by a name at all; a treat, perhaps, to the peculiar eye.
A vulture flew into the bar, carrying a scroll with ornate gold ends. It disappeared into the air without a trace, not even the usual vulture smell. "Hmm," the bartender said, reading the scroll -- perplexed. "I rarely am sent messages by spectral vulture. And this being in a code I haven't seen in a while..." He would need a while to figure out exactly what he had just been sent. It was the idea of coded messages, surely, but he hoped there was not some emergency to be dealt with when he returned to the Onyx Castle...
Setting the scroll down on a hidden shelf, the bartender returned to cleaning the counter, working the code over in his head.
