Nergui had fallen, consumed by the Insanity that plagued her.she heard nothing, saw nothing, felt nothing, until the world split beneath her feet.at first she didn't understand what was happening of course even after the blood list had faded she couldn't believe her eyes. Crystals, brilliant white and almost glowing, were pouring from the ground at her feet. It was nothing the horsewoman had ever seen before, and she instinctively backed away from the spreading shine. Not that that would do her any good. The white gems where spreading faster than naturally possible. They were at the tires of her boats before she realized it, distracted as she was as she searched around her for allies or friends. Soren.. She hoped the big man was alright. All at once the priestess screamed, foot jerking back from the white crystals as they sought to consume her from the legs up.it wasn't just pain, it was agony, and worst yet it sucked at her FEAR, making her stumble as she tried to get away. Backing away, Nergui's heel caught the edge of something in the road, and the horsewoman went down hard, her palms scraping along the pavement.she was tired, unreasonably tired, and even in mortal danger she could barely lift her head. Whatever was happening, it was draining her, them. She struggled to crawl further from the white spread of gems, but her movements were sluggish. Even as the crystals covered one booted foot she barely struggled. What was the point? She could see what was happening around her. OOC MY CHARACTER NERGUI IS NOT IN PVP! As the cold climb of crystals had reached her hips, Nergui ceased her useless attempts to free herself. Panic and instinct had kept her at it, but as the sharpened edges slashed her palms, her arms, and what should have run red only crystallized and spread, she knew it was hopeless. She could see the others around her beginning to fall, swallowed up, frozen forever in varying states of panic, anger, even resignation. It was almost beautiful in a way, morbid of course, but she was of Death, and her tastes were.. odd.
Aware her end was coming, the woman seemed incredibly calm, but that was Nergui. Strong, resilient, and painfully practical. She saw no escape, and she would accept her demise. In the end, even if she personally did not win vengeance, she knew others had. Her kin, brothers and sisters in arms. They had all fought bravely, all given everything they had, and the Hunters, if they somehow survived this, would know pain and lose.
As the creeping hardness reached her chest, even she couldn't shake the fear that bubbled up within her. She was resigned from her fate, she didn't flail about or struggle, but not even she was truly ready. Memories sprang up in her mind, oddly quiet here at the end, and she let the smallest of whimpers escape past black lips as she considered all things she was going to miss out on. The people, few though they may be, that she would be leaving behind. The skinwalker, no more yet then a pleasant distraction. She hadn't bothered to tell him she was leaving, she should have.
Her mind jumped to Soren, the mountain of a horsemen that she had come to see as a protector, mental and physical, and again she hoped for the best. Hoped, but couldn't bring herself to believe. She wasn't so naive.
Her's, when the crystals took her completely, would be an expression of calm regret. Almost acceptance.
