Keira Gayuno

Keira visibly wilted under Faust's words, muttering a few indistinguishable things under her breath that were probably denials of any degree of skill or competency on her part. Her first movements were actually fairly rough; her body was bigger than she remembered, and it took a little bit to adjust, but she soon began to indicate the correct positioning and use. Chopsticks were actually fairly versatile, and they had the benefit of not piercing food and getting juices everywhere (especially outside of the food, where they belonged), though it was admittedly true that they were mostly better for smaller pieces. You'd have to be insane, for example, to try and eat a hamburger with chopsticks. Not that Keira had ever really eaten anything non-Japanese. Her family was what you might call extremely patriotic that way. Still, this territory was a little more familiar, and she was glad for the opportunity to demonstrate that she remembered what she was supposed to remember and was capable of eating in even the finest of traditional settings without problems. Meanwhile, Rednal had slipped upstairs for reasons of his own...

Keira Gayuno

As Keira set her chopsticks down after having scrupulously avoided everything but the rice, she slowly became aware of someone else's presence and looked over to find that Rednal had come back downstairs and was relaxing against the wall of the kitchen... wearing clothes less-wrecked than the ones from earlier. She immediately lowered her eyes in a submissive movement, and so didn't see the pained expression on his face when she did.

Rednal Ak'Thias

Rednal had felt many things in his life, but at the moment, he was mostly feeling like somebody was twisting a knife around inside of his guts. He didn't remember anything after Yuno had managed to sucker him, and when he awoke, it was just... this? He hadn't been able to do anything at all during what had clearly been an important event of some kind, and the girl he knew was wiped away just like that? More than anything else, he was used to somebody who enjoyed life and boldly made her own decisions, not a girl too scared to even look at other people without permission. She'd been a constant presence in his life for so many years now, and the gigantic gaping hole in his sense of the universe seemed to throb worse with every passing moment. "W-well, uh, if you're done eating... why don't you get some rest?" He asked, quietly taking her plate away. For a moment, he thought about tossing the leftovers, but... Kanade had made it, and if Keira wasn't going to eat it, then he darn well was. When she wasn't there to watch, anyway, so he just put it on the counter for now.

Faustus Necromonium
Faust watched Keira intently as she showcased her abilities, a bit shaky, but much more graceful than he was with chopsticks. He'd been very quiet as he watched, not wanting to spook the girl with any sudden movements, or any awkward speech. It felt so...foreign being with Keira. Unlike the girl who was slightly flirtatious, and all too perky....Keira was...
Scared. Like a small child, expecting punishment from anyone older than her. Rednal returned a bit later, telling the girl it would likely be a good idea for her to get some rest...if she was done eating.
"You've been through a lot, Keira-san." Faust stated, quietly, with a slight bow. "Thank you for the lessons. Perhaps sometime, I will be able to return the favor."
It had been a while since he'd felt this formal....Perhaps a good thing, though, the thought of getting a bit of rest sounded good.
"I could go for some sleep too." Faust added himself, yawning lightly, but covering his mouth as he did. "You should probably get some rest too, Keira-san. We'll make sure to show you around town later then...alright?"
He gave a quiet, easy smile, though he could tell by the look on Rednal's face this was anything but an easy moment. Sure, they'd gotten her to calm down, and eat something....but she had lost many years worth of knowledge, of memories, of friendships..... The thought of it happening to him made him shiver a bit, but so long as she had them, it would all work out....

"Should I take her upstairs with me, then?" Asuka spoke up from her seat, slowly standing up. "Or would you prefer to do it, Rednal?" The girl's voice still sounded weak, it was subtle, but noticeable if one cared to listen close enough.
She still felt somewhat lost amongst recent happenings. Some of which were taking an undue toll on her state of mind.
Maybe she'd go and visit their new guest later, maybe a change of pace would help clear her head.

Rednal Ak'Thias

Rednal's touch was light as a feather as he helped Keira stand up. Was she always this light...? For a long time now, he'd been in a world where people could take incredible magic attacks head-on and shrug them off. Keira wasn't like that; she was a normal human, with no special powers that really made her stand out. To anybody with even a small amount of supernatural power, she was fragile and very, very breakable. "Y-yeah. If you would, Asuka?" he asked. "We, uh, tried to decorate it in a way you might like, but feel free to change things if you want." he stepped out of the way so that another girl could help her to bed (that wasn't really something a guy ought to be doing), then slipped into the next room over on the ground floor, out of sight. The boy simply fell onto the couch, and as hot tears rolled down his face, he couldn't really stop his hands from clenching as tightly as possible. This was wrong, wrong in every possible way. I'm not going to be some stupid bystander and let this happen... maybe she did have her problems, but at least Yuno could be happy. Nobody should ever have to live like such a scared little child. I... will help you, no matter what.

Asuka quietly nodded at Rednal, and let her eyes follow him as he walked away. He was good at hiding his feelings, but Asuka knew him well enough to see how torn-up he was.
She shook the thoughts from her head for the time being.
She reached out and gently too Yuno's hand, "Right this way, Keira." She said with a smile leading her up the stairs and into Asuka's room.
"Will you be alright getting changed on your own, Keira?" It was a legitimate question, she'd taken one hell of a bop on the head, and Asuka was still worried about her well being. "I can help, if need be."

Keira Gayuno

Time passed no matter how much you tried to keep it cupped in your hands, and as the sun moved across the sky, Keira Gayuno rested. She was probably going to go back to sleep a little later; one thing her body was insisting on was that it needed a lot of rest at the moment. She'd eventually woken up, though, and was feeling a little more stable than before. Things were starting to sink in, and she'd accepted a traditional Japanese dinner from Rednal, heart beating quickly as she did so. She wasn't very comfortable with a lot of the things her body felt, though the fact that well over half of those were aches and pains wasn't doing anything good. Strange, powerful flashes of jealousy towards people like Aselia and Asuka, even when they'd done nothing at all to warrant it, finding that her hand didn't want to let go of the knife when she'd been using it to cut something... she barely even recognized herself.

Aselia Bluespirit

"Nn." Aselia's arms went around Keira's shoulders as she gently hugged the other girl from behind. Keira stiffened, as if terrified of bodily contact, then slowly started to relax as Aselia gave her feelings as she always did: openly, honestly, and without reservations. This was one of the things that really set Aselia apart from a lot of people... she had no particular difficulty expressing herself. She never second-guessed herself, panicked over how things were, or worried about it at all. She just acted the way she felt she should act, which on the whole was very positive towards others.

Keira Gayuno

"Th-thank you..." Keira said softly, a small tear sliding down one of her cheeks. Harsh upbringing or not, it was pretty much a universal truth that when somebody felt truly alone in the world, having someone else there to support them was incredibly helpful. Across the table, Rednal smiled, then reached over and put one of his hands atop hers. "Thank you all... so much..." she hiccuped, and the tears truly began to flow.

Jo(shu) Michieru and Kanade Tachibana,
Eventually, the girl felt her eyes open, as she felt a lot more rested than before. She let out a loud yawn, the blanket on her shoulders moving a bit.
"I needed that na.." she muttered, before noticing something...shocking.

"Evening...sunshine." Jo(shu)'s voice called, getting Kanade to jump.
"E..Evening?!" she squeaked, before looking out the window. It was..Already night?!
"But...class....."

"Looks like we're skipping today." Jo(shu) replied, lightly shaking his feet underneath her. He'd been asleep until about afternoon himself, but he'd been laying there for hours....pretending to be asleep so as to not incite the wrath of that blue haired girl...
The girl flinched, making a light sound of protest, before slumping back over in her chair.
But I... she thought to herself, before feeling Jo(shu)'s legs underneath her. She eventually got the cue, standing up to let Jo(shu) finally sit up.

'Thank you..." Jo(shu) called, rubbing his legs, and grabbing the tube that fell to the ground.
Kanade flushed lightly, before seeing Yuno and the others over at a dinner table, eating as well. She watched a bit from afar, wondering if she should join them, or head back to her place..
"Well, I'm out." Jo(shu) remarked, bluntly as he started towards what he could only hope was the door. "WYNN's probably worried sick..again. And I haven't really had anything to eat since morning, so.."
Kanade turned a bit at this, her hands closing. Should she offer to go with him? Or, go join the others at the table and eat? She did have that paperwork to fill out....But she did kind of need to apologize for keeping him there all day...

Aselia Bluespirit

Aselia's ears physically twitched as she heard another voice within the household. In fact, it was almost catlike, which was kind of odd considering she was much more like a bird most of the time... on the other hand, though, she was great at physically expressing the stuff she didn't say. Keira seemed to be feeling much better, so Aselia let go of her and vaulted over the couch before hopping over to Kanade and grabbing one of her hands. "Nn!" she said, a bright smile on her face as she pointed to the table. From over there, Rednal waved a bit. Kanade certainly didn't need to be alone at a time like this, and considering how much of the day they'd all spent resting, she was probably as hungry as the others by now... and one of the servings that had been placed out was for her.

Jo(shu) Michieru and Kanade Tachibana,
Her decision was made for her in an instant, as Aselia grabbed her hand, and pulled her along.
"Ah...thanks..." she remarked, noticing Rednal's wave. She waved quietly back, as her stomach growled. She was quite hungry...

The repeat senior's stomach growled in a similar fashion, though he merely slid to the door, and quietly opened it.
"Thanks." he sounded dully, before shutting the door behind him and vanishing out the door. Even if one was to jump straight to the door and fling it open, he'd be nowhere to be seen. Stealthy, he was not...but when it came to getting away....

Kanade almost raised a hand as Jo(shu) left, before sighing a bit.
Did something happen? she thought, before turning with Aselia, and moving along.
"It's about dinnertime...right?" she called, before noticing the plate, starting over to the table and sitting down. "Hello..." she added quietly to the others, as she mumbled a thanks for the meal, then starting to eat.

Rednal Ak'Thias

"Yup. I was gonna go wake you up in a few minutes, but you beat me to it." he took a few bites of rice, a thoughtful expression on his face. The look on her face if he'd implemented his plan probably would have been really cute, though. As for the other guy, he could've stayed to eat if he'd wanted to, but... he wasn't family like Kanade was. Truth be told, he'd rather missed just sitting down for a meal with everyone this way. There was enough madness in their lives that sometimes you just had to take whatever you could get in terms of happiness. "We've got some extra of everything if you're still hungry." He pointed to the kitchen counter with his chopsticks. But... that wasn't enough. What else could he say? Urgh... stupid thought process, deserting him when he actually needed it!

Kanade Tachibana,
"Ah..thank you." she replied, before sitting down for a meal, picking up her own chopsticks and beginning to eat.
Hearing him offer her extras, she nodded in acknowledgement of what he said. She quietly ate her meal, as her thoughts raced over the day. Hard to believe...that she was dealing with a life or death situation earlier today...And then she had to be careful when speaking around the girl now. She'd regressed it seemed...and yet..
Somehow..The air feels tenser than before.. she thought, as she continued eating... Trying to think of a conversation topic....
"That was Jo(shu) Michieru." she remarked quietly, answering a question Rednal might not have known. "He's a repeat senior...and a friend."
And he got me a job at Junes, helped me get an apartment, and is a fellow Yatagarasu...Not to mention, a devil Summoner.
Oh...there was just so much she couldn't say outright at a table like this...
She lightly twiddled her fingers as she thought, trying to think of what to say next. Not to mention, she had her own demonic allies, in case something got rough.
So many things he didn't openly know about her....And yet, things she couldn't share...Especially with Keira there. She resumed eating quietly, trying to think of a conversation topic to continue on with...

Aselia Bluespirit

Aselia looked back and forth between Rednal and Kanade as an awkward sort of tension seemed to drift up around the table. As usual, these two really didn't know how to talk to each other... things were so much easier when you just came out and expressed how you felt instead of trying to bottle everything up inside. Well, if that was the case, then it was time for her to use her secret weapon! The girl rustled around inside of her clothes for a moment before whipping out a cat-ear headband and slipping it onto Kanade in one swift motion. "Nn!"

Rednal Ak'Thias

Rednal just barely managed to turn his head far enough to the side that the drink in his mouth didn't hit anyone as it came spraying out. He couldn't stop the laughter at all, though, and it took him several long moments to get himself under control again. "It's... it's cute..." he managed to get out as Aselia looked extremely pleased with herself. Oh, she always knew how to make him feel better.

Kanade Tachibana,
Kanade seemed to flinch a bit as Aselia's hands moved to slide...something on her head, that caused Rednal to burst out in a fit of laughter.
What'd she..? Kanade thought, before reaching to her head and feeling the two little ears. C..Cat ears?
A light flush came over her at the compliment, though more at the surprise of it, than embarrassment. She slid the headband off to look at it, before setting it back down on the table, somehow feeling even more awkward than before. Well, it was certainly an ice-breaker...though, she still felt a bit uneasy, considering he didn't respond at all to her telling him who the stranger was. She quietly continued to eat, as she pondered what to discuss next. She did have to wonder where Aselia would get such bands though....And why she had one on her. Perhaps..it was meant for Asuka?
"Thanks.." she muttered to Rednal, her flush fading away as she finished her dinner, still feeling a bit uneasy....
Hnnnn.

Rednal Ak'Thias

Rednal shook his head a bit once he was finally (and properly) in control of himself again. Keira had looked a little surprised, too, but even she'd had a small smile on her face. "Anyway. Your friend's a colleague, too, right?" Rednal asked Kanade. "He's welcome to come by anytime if the two of you are working together." A normal person (like Keira) would assume he was talking about shifts at Junes... assuming they knew Kanade worked there, at least. This household being what it was, though, Kanade probably wouldn't miss the fact that he was actually talking about their other lives. Aselia was the manager of the lower-level operatives in the area, after all, and among other things she'd explained to him the details of the agents in the area (that he needed to know about) in case any of them came looking for her.
