Akumi took a deep breath. "Their souls merged within me... kinda like a jar with water, yet I remained dominant. I could also tap into their powers, hence the telekinetic and empathic powers... the other two had very strange powers, though," he said quietly. He could sense that something within him had changed, though what had, he wasn't certain. He concentrated, summoning the umbrakinetic powers of one of the other two mutants. His eyes widened fractionally as he noticed the prismatic aura swirling around his hand and wrist not unlike threads of rainbow fire that continuously merged and flowed around one another. Ah... so the umbrakinesis is the source of the odd aura, at least partially, he thought.

"So... one of them was a cat person?" Twila asked and looked at ranbow aura. "And one had power over rainbows?" She asked wondering if those were the strange powers.

Akumi shook his head. "They were all human... well... mutants, but none of them had any kind of aurora manifestation abilities... one did have umbrakinesis, or shadow manipulation, while the other was empathic towards animals," he said dryly. He blinked, glancing towards the van and darting forward so they didn't lose the van and wherever it was headed.

Akumi shrugged. "No idea... I don't even know my real name, considering I spent most of my life from the age of six until fourteen in a lab I only remember fragments of... then it's all a blur until a few months ago," he admitted. He had never revealed so much of himself to anyone before, not even to a family he was sure was dead that brought him into the world.

"A lab? Like scientists? That's a strange place to live." Twila replyed. "What is your name any way? Mines Twila." She smiled alittle changeling topic.

Akumi blinked. "There was only one, a man called Essex, at least that I remember," he said quietly. He wasn't going to tell her that the memories he did have of that lab revealed that he had been little more than a glorified prisoner, since the guards who had been there didn't usually physically abuse them, but did tend to do less pleasant things. "It's Akumi... at least I think it is," he said quietly.

Twila nodded "Akumi.... if I forget your name please don't be mad... I'm bad at rembering names." She smiled nervously afraid he would be mad.

Akumi shrugged. "We all have our downfalls," was all he said as his gaze shifted, keeping track of the van, convertible, and motorcycle before it shifted upward, spotting the mansion ahead. "Damn.... that's a big mansion," he said in surprise, hovering in midair. He grinned after a moment, looking like the child he'd never been. "Hard to beleive we're gonna be living there... that is if you decide to stay," he said with a grin, flicking his gaze to Twila.

"It is a big place..." Twila said trying to fly in one spot. "So long as they don't try to clip my wings I might stay... "she replyed with a small smile.

Akumi exhaled. "I doubt they'd do that... I'm sure they've got other mutants that can fly here" he said as he shot a few feet forward. "Ya think ya can beat me there? I wonder just how fast we can fly" he said a few seconds before a growl that sounded oddly like distant thunder sounded, making him blush slightly. "Not to mention it's been three or four days since my last meal" he admitted sheepishly.

Twila smiled "A race sounds like fun." She frowned abit when he said he hadn't eaten in a while. "Do you have any idea how many rabbits and squirrels there are? Those are edible too. Though not to shure its legal...."

] Akumi cocked an eyebrow. "What do you think my last meal was? Smoked rabbit," he said with a slight dry tone. "I get the feeling they'll likely have food waiting for us when we get there, anyway," he said idly. "Oh, I'm certain we will, children... it is nearly lunch, so feel free to join us when you like," a warm voice said, sounding somewhat amused in his mind. He noticed that when the telepathic voice slid through his thoughts, Twila's eyes had widened as well, as if she'd heard it too.

Twila looked around confused not seeing anyone else. "That's super creepy....please tell me you heard it to and I'm not going crazy...." she looked at him thinking she might be going crazy.
