Mot listened to her worries with a nod. He was glad she didn't lie to him. "Just as I am. Or many of us are, Hel." Mot said with a smile. He squeezed her hands, rubbing his thumbs over the top of her hands. "It's okay Hel."

Hel sighed, easing a bit under the feel of his thumbs over her knuckles. “…I know…but I just…I do not want to be wary of heights anymore.” She looked back out the window, a brow twitching as they raised higher and higher still.
Buuuuh.
She was supposed to be enjoying this. When she had first thought of riding a Ferris Wheel, she had imagined herself having a lot of fun…not wishing to be back on the ground again already. After a moment, the ghoul snorted as if she was in disbelief. “…Why do we put ourselves into situations where outcomes could be beyond our control?” She mused, but then thought about it. That could apply to everything, really. Why did she go to the Haunted House when she lost her wings? Because they were trying to do something for the greater good.
Hel’s lip twisted, and then after a moment she let go of Mot’s hands and stood, shuffling the very short distance to the seat he was occupying and then promptly sat on his lap, pressing her side against his front as she leaned against him. She then took one of his arms and wrapped it around her waist, and then promptly wrapped her arms around his neck.
Very serious expression.
At least now if they started to plummet to either dissipation or death because of a ride malfunction, it’d be together. Hel took comfort in that.

"It will pass." Mot assured her. Heights had been a big part of her life. Surely as she kept trying it would be okay again. Especially if she kept up the parkour. Her question was met with a shrug. "Because it's worth the risk."
As Hel stood, Mot's arms tensed. She shouldn't be standing in this thing after all. But soon he saw why she stood. He found her now on his lap, his arm pulled around her waist. His free arm rested on her shoulder, his gaze softening as he studied her face. He wasn't entirely sure why she sat there. It wasn't to tease him, of that he was sure. Was she scared? He smiled re-assuredly, rubbing her back to comfort her.

She could only hope it’d pass…but hearing it from Mot helped her feel better about it. “…Ya…you are right. It is worth the risk.” Her lips tugged upwards briefly before they fell.
Hel did feel better as Mot held onto her and rubbed her back. As the Ferris Wheel started to make its slow rotations over time, Hel found herself looking more and more out of the window, her arms still tightly wrapped around the grim’s neck. After a few more rounds, though, the reaper tensed once again as the wheel slooooowed…and then it came to a stop. At the very top. Her brow twitched again as their compartment rocked a bit from the stop and then looked at Mot like whyyyyyyy? Hel made a sour face but turned to look out the window regardless.
She gasped. “Mot…” She whispered. “Look…” The pumpkin sun was setting on the ocean’s horizon, burning bright yellows, deep oranges, and the starts of red mixed with lavenders into the sky. It was reflected on the water’s surface as well.

Mot didn't mind her on his lap. He liked it, really. It was just too bad she was so tense. Every round she didn't seem to relax any, wrapping her arms ever tighter round him. Her intoxicating scent mixed with that of the ocean was pleasantly close. Even after they had dried off, it lingered.
He stared back at Hel as it stopped, trying not to smile at her sour face. It was.. cute.
He raised his brows when she spoke suddenly, turning his head to stare at what she saw. A sunset. At an angle he wasn't sure he'd ever seen. It was so beautiful, haunting. Like some kind of moving painting. "Wow.." He breathed out, staring out at the mixing of colours in the sky and water.

After seeing that sunset like that, from so high up, Hel didn’t mind anymore. She even relaxed. Why did they do things like this? For something good in return.
The ghoul was actually disappointed when they started to move again, and eventually the Ferris Wheel ride came to an end. By that point, it was time to call it a day anyways. Their train time as quickly approaching, but on the way out, Hel managed to snag herself a funnel cake laced with sugar powder and cherries to wolf down.
Only after shoving quite a few bits into Mot’s mouth as well.
The train ride back was just as pleasant as the ride there. Hel had convinced (read as forced) Mot to use her bosom as a pillow again and the reaper rested her head against his the entire way back. The walk back to the dorms was even nice. In the middle of the hall, between their rooms, Hel leaned on her tippy toes and pressed a kiss to the grim’s cheek. She kissed her friends on the cheek all the time…this was most certainly okay. She uttered her thanks to him, whole heartedly grateful for their day, because she truly did enjoy it and cherish it. She then parted ways with him for the night, slipping into her room with a smile.
