Kiuma watched the silver Mistweaver leave with a touch of a smile at the corner of her mouth. The stiff movements of his body, the angle of his back and the tilt of his ears, all spoke of his pain. The pair of outlanders had shaken him, it seemed... Perhaps he'd use these doubts to start questioning his belief, and maybe even find some answers. But above and beyond that, Kiuma drank in the emotional pain he radiated. The dark aura Tanaka had been giving off parted like water around her, sliding from her hide was easily as from a ducks oiled feathers. She had no fear of that malignance being turned on her.
When Maji was out of sight, she chuckled softly and nudged Tanaka with her shoulder, eyes bright with mischeif. "Well! It seems you havn't lost your talent for fostering conflict, even as a mortal. I've no doubt that what we said will stay in his mind for a good long while. Are we done then? Perhaps we should be moving on, if their resources are so small. There will be far better hunting on the way to the next land."

That malicious grin stayed on Tanaka's maw long after the silver lion had moved out of sight. Oh how he reveled in it, the sting of his words, the mortal's reaction. Fallen or not, the god of conflict took a twisted pleasure in the task he had been born to do. Emotional wounds were far more satisfying than physical ones, and he was certain the ones he had inflicted today would last for the rest of the silver lion's days.
He turned to face Kiuma, a hint of evil glee still shining in that lone green eye. Yes, moving on sounded like a good idea, he'd had his fun here and now he was tired of this land. There was so much more out there, so much to share with his companion, so much more to revel in together.
"Yes."
