Deryk never saw it coming. He was completely bowled over by several minis, so it took him a moment to realize they had some weird color changing mini thing here. Actually, that thing didn't look like it was doing them much good at all here. Slowly he pushed himself up, fur bristling up all over the place. That bird also caused him to get trampled over. BOSS: 34While rolling on the ground - out of the corner of his eye - Herryk caught sight of a pretty little bird thing. It was bright and pretty and bright and pretty and Herryk couldn't help himself. He bounced to his feet and departed from Westlion and Magictro and hauled a** over to the bird. He promptly bopped it on the head before splaying his paws out before it, rump high and tail swishing a million miles a minute. "Wanna play?" His tongue lolled out as he panted happily. Well, if he was stuck as a minipet he might as well fight something. And so he did, though his new body was somewhat clumsy. With a helmet on it was fairly easy to just ram into it though. Ash awoke...and felt no different than he normally did, except for the fact that he was laying face-down against a wooden floor. As he regained consciousness, the reaper took in various details about himself. He was dressed in a starched white shirt, an apron, and pinstriped slacks: nothing unusual there.
He also had his blade and helm, but... they felt awfully light-- but!
Sweet jack, it was a miracle.
There were no more grey patches, and no remnants of insanity. He glared at the outside world, peering at each and every ...what looked like minipets, around him.
He was the only one who was normal. A manticat, large enough to ride, was with him.
"You should not stare at others. It's quite rude."
"Weeee are ssssorry, masster," it said, a mocking tone in his voice. Without having to check, the reaper knew that this was Hisstofer.
Without fanfare or any room for argument, Ash hopped onto the Manticat's back.
"We ride to battle."
However, Hisstofer took off at a frantic pace, running them directly into the phoenix's fire-- and not stopping.
"We musssttt not lisssten to you, here! Your rulessss have no law! We are free, yesss, we are free!"
And then, Hisstofer ran them into a tree instead, flinging Ash from his back.

Whether or not they were ready, here it came.
Petra watched with a mildly concerned expression as Deryk got bowled over by the minipets scrambling to get out of the way of the boss, her eyes lingering for only a second before focusing on the creature which threatened them. Immediately, she spun in place, claws extending even before she had realized it, crouching and hissing in the creature's direction.
'Cain!''There is nothing I can do. You're on your own for this one.'Mentally cursing, the death intermediate kicked off the dirt towards the creature, lunging at the bird-like minipet, bounding between the crumbling mounds of earth. Others, too, seemed to be leaping to action, and for now she ignored them -- even if they were the enemy, it would be a truce. Ofelia had mostly been chilling on Deryk, listening and watching (and maybe sleeping) but then stuff happened, she got ytossed off, and Deryk was attacked and now there was a boss.
Adventure, finally?! She hadn't gotten to play against the ponies before so this was her chance! Gathering up all her energy she got on all fours to chargeeeeeeeeee
And missed like whoa, ending up instead hurting herself because that was what happened all the time. Darn it.

Being a small kushi-kushi or whatever the hell she was didn't help at all. The more Ofelia tried to do anything the more she found holy s**t she was getting hurt. There was no familiar FEAR shield to protect her, basically nothing and so the pain was making her body hurt.
Her last failed attack had her bouncing backward and she ended up near a few of the others were she just decided to lay face down for a while on the grass.
"Eeee....yup." She said to no one in particular, instead just nibbling (maybe) on a few tufts of grass. She'd tried again, maybe, if she could stand up.
Her tiny butt hurt so she couldn't wag her tail even if she wanted. )=

Rearing up after that, Tseng ran around the phoenix for a few moments, then went on to charge at the strangely colored minipet once more. "HEADBUTT!" he shouted while lowering his head to try and get the phoenix. Again, the ground shifted making him slip up. The kirinni's head crashed right into the ground, causing him to see stars for a few moments. Tseng HP: 12 Faction: Horseman Type: Light Location: Main HQ Damage: 6 to self Boss: 4

Mengyao, in a fit of irritation, stalked towards the creature on all fours, launched himself rather unceremoniously at the thing, and proceeded to tear at it ferociously with his claws.
Then he leapt nimbly down and sauntered off as though nothing out of the ordinary had just occurred.MENGYAO

As the last hit collided, the creature began to dissolve, flesh melting into skeleton and then simply bits and pieces of colour, leaving a single floating object behind brimming with miasma -
- It hovered, floating quite a bit rather unstably in the air, threatening to suck everyone into the distortion around it.
OOC - Congrats all battlers! You can now prize claim for the boss fight HERE. - The ??? object is floating in the air but it will take some effort to get there, as it radiates a strange pulse, one that pushes everyone back each step they try to take to get close to it. - If you are trying to grab the object, roll a 100-sided dice. If you roll 90-or higher, your minipet manages to get close enough - hopefully they can swim. You can only try for it once.
