“Tony, its - Ive got a lot of stuff to do today, and just.” Bruce blundered “you really don’t have to, there is no point really. I just, really there’s no reason to it wont make a difference.” Bruce’s eyes shifted a bit staring down at the table trying not to think of how the engineer would react when he found out that he was leaving still, and hopefully sober this time.

Tony pulled out the chair next to Bruce and sat in it, grabbing for his friend's hand that was rested on the table. "There /is/ a point, it /does/ matter," he said resolutely, keeping eye contact with the other man as he squeezed his hand. "I mean, you can keep on trying to tell me it doesn't, but you know I'm not gonna listen." He gave a quick wink. "I'm stubborn like that." He stroked his fingers across the knuckles of the younger scientist's hand contemplatively. "I just see you and... there isn't a day that passes where I don't wish I could somehow do more for you..." Nervousness started to eat around his edges again, like it always did whenever he spoke from his heart instead of his gut or a**.

Bruce couldnt bring himself to even look at Tony, but he knew from his voice he was upset. It wasnt that he hadnt expected him to be upset, just he hadnt really expected to be there when it happened. ” I- Um, I havent worked that part out yet,” he said placing his head in his palms. He didnt want to do this, but he had to leave didnt he? he was going to hurt people here that was what always happened. He let himself get comfortable and someone got hurt. ” I’m sure you can find a- a new lab partener, someone who was smart enough to not get hit with gama waves.” he frowned knowing that he was going to miss Tony terribly more than he had missed anyone when he left but that was all the more reason to leave. He was getting to attached.

"Find a new lab partner??" his voice was beyond incredulous. "Bruce, you don't /understand/." Tony reached out to grab Banner's hands again, this time holding both of them tightly in his own. "I need /you/." He let that sink in, surprised he'd allowed himself to say it outloud. "No one can possibly replace you... I... I..." it seemed like something else was trying to escape his mouth, but was getting stuck. "Please, don't leave me..." he begged, realizing he had to sound absolutely pitiable.

Bruce shoved his face back into his hands, trying to get a grip on his emotions. He was so angry, he hadnt meant to do this. Any of this, he should have just left. He was so stupid, He felt his anger rise and glanced at his hand which was taking on a green tint. No no no no no he thought trying to balance his breathing. Please not now, this is going to make everyting worse. His pleading did no good within seconds the scientist was replaced by a large green monster with huge muscles. The Hulk made his way over to Tony before picking the man up from his dish washing and pulling him tight to his large chest. “Hulk not want to leave tony” he said Holding Tony tight to his chest but not tight enough to injure him. “Hulk love tony”

There were some sounds of furniture creaking and sliding across the floor behind him, but Tony refused to acknowledge them, staring straight ahead at the sink. 'This is it...' he thought dully as he scrubbed, 'he's going to walk out that door and never come back. And you're too much of a ******** coward to stop him.' It was that instant when he found his feet being lifted up from the ground and he gave a yelp, dropping the bowl which clattered to the linoleum. Two big green hands were wrapped around his midsection, explaining that little would-be mystery. "H-holy s**t!" he said, still trying to recover from his shock, but he shook it off, a smile worming its way across his features as he looked up at the face double the size of his own. "I love you too, Hulkie," he laughed softly at the words of affection. "But you nearly scared the s**t out of me, big guy."

“No, Bruce LOVE Tony” the hulk said exasperated, he had been watching Bruce fail at expressing their feelings for the man now currently settled in his lap for far too long. He even tried to make the man flirt with him, bringing him to the brink of anger so that some of the hulk’s more blunt tendencies would flow into Bruce. However here he was telling Tony flat out that Bruce loved him and he just wouldnt listen. “Love, No friends Love” He said fighting to hold onto the anger that fuled him, finding that he had baraly any left. He couldn’t stay angry with Tony so close, Him and Bruce were consistant on one thing. Tony made both of them happy, even if he was being infuriating. He had very little time left to tell the man, to make him listen. “Love tony, Bruce love Tony, Hulk love Tony. Bruce not want to leave, Hulk not want to leave, We love tony.”

"Whoa! Whoa! Okay, big guy, slow down, easy!" Tony almost squeaked, the Hulk's temper obviously rising as his already booming voice raised enough to make all the dishes tremble in their cupboards. He felt a snort from the creature's nostrils ruffle his hair. The innovator's eyebrows lifted in revelation. "He does?" he asked, still baffled by the news, "I mean-- you guys do?" Gosh, this double-personality thing sure made wording things complicated.

Bruce groaned at the chipper man before him, man did he have a headache. “yes please, and after i get some pants would you mind telling me what buildings he leveled while i was gone?” Bruce asked standing up and grabbing the towel off the stove and wrapping it around himself. It would do for the moment as he shoved the last few bites of pancakes in his mouth. ugh he hated how hungry he got.

Tony took his window of opportunity to catch a fleeting glimpse of Bruce's a** just before he covered up, figuring now he had the perfect excuse to look; the other scientist was hardly 'off-limits' now. "Yeah, sure, no problem," he assured, breaking into a merry whistle as he picked the bowl back up from the floor and poured the entirety of the box of Bisquik into it.

Bruce could tell this was going bad fast. The hulk, talked…to tony. “and um, what did he say if you dont mind my asking” he managed. Hoping for the best, perhaps he told him that he really didnt want to leave. Which was true, and not too horrible for the man to know.

"Hm... well, a few things..." Tony intentionally dragged things out. "Kind of a private discussion, though. He might be angry if I told you." He leaned a hand on the countertop and looked Bruce's way. "But! It's my well-informed theory that if you leave, like you were threatening to do, that you're gonna end up bringing down whatever plane you're on and I'm going to find the Hulk right back here on my doorstep." He motioned his spatula at the ground beneath his feet, grinning like mad.

Bruce sighed in relif, cutting into the pancake and eating it faster than seemed humanly possible. ” guess im not going anywhere then, If the other guy found somewhere he wants to be, maybe he wont try to destroy it. He did a pretty good job this time, You are okay right.” He asked suddenly overwhelmed by concern, “you’re not hurt, he didnt say anything that upset you?” Bruce asked mouth full of pancake.

"Perfectly fine! See?" Tony said, putting his arms out wide to either side of him to show his friend. He even did a circle for completeness' sake. "Nothing broken, mutiliated or maimed," he kidded, giving Bruce a knock on the shoulder. He was practically giddy to hear that the other scientist was staying. Hopefully for good.

” I told you, There’s nothing you cant do. You’re perfect at everything. Even pancakes.” Bruce grinned, “And i couldnt possibly eat another bite, for the next hour at least” he joked massaging his temples. “do you have any asprin, the whole turning into a giant rage monster gives you, well a giant raging headache.”

Tony just continued to smile through his mouthful of pancake at the compliments. "Yeah, of course," he said, "should find a bottle in the medicine cabinet. You wanna get me a couple while you're at it? I still have this hangover," he laughed now at his drunkeness earlier. Hell, he was ready to get smashed again, though this time for the purposes of celebrating.
