Kane took her hand in his and started to lead her towards his place. It was slow going as the ash and the cold slowed them down. Before long he was pulling open the door and stepped inside and lead her inside.

Rose was so tired as she sat down for something cold to drink. Her rounds were almost up then she would be sent home. A woman and her companion walked by when she over herd them talking. Rose held a smile on her face at what they said.
"Did you hear that Kane Reeves and Eve Evers are together now?" the woman asked her companion.
"No I didn't how is that possible it wasn't picked?" Her companion asked back.
"They stood up to leader and he allowed them to do as they pleased as long as they follow the rules." The woman replied before they left the cafe.

Being as anti-social as he was, Hibiki cared for the livestock for hours on end as he'd grown used to doing. He could honestly care less for who was hooking up with who or who was expecting children. The leader had been bugging him since he was fifteen about finding a girl instead of being all quiet. He'd said to try showing a girl his talents outside of taking care of the animals, but he'd always end up keeping to himself after their talk. Half of the survivors would probably ask who he was if asked if they even met him. “ Hibiki, you need to get the cut on your arm looked at. Covering it with a temporary bandage isn't going to keep it from getting infected. The livestock are asleep so go. We'll have your supper on the table when you get home. Oh and the leader wants you to go out on a lil' mission tomorrow. Just saying,” Julia growled at her younger brother as he gently patted one of the cow on top of the head. Hibiki nodded slightly before sliding his mask back over his face and heading towards the door his sister was standing beside. After locking up, Hibiki headed towards the hospital while keeping his arm tucked inside his jacket so any falling ash wouldn't get inside. Pausing at the nurse's desk, he raised an eyebrow only to ding a small bell on top of it. How was he going to explain slicing his arm open if he cared for the animals most of the time? Twitching slightly, he started tapping his fingers against the desk.

Rose walked to the nurse's desk and saw Hibiki standing there. "Has someone helped you yet?" She asked as she pulled out his file that was laid on the desk. "Hibiki Itou right?" Rose asked in a soft voice as she looked over his charts.

“ Um... Not yet, no. Yes, that's my name. Rarely ever come to the hospital so I'm surprised I'm actually remembered,” Hibiki responded softly as the injured arm remained by his side. Fortunately enough, his sleeve still covered the injury that he was still trying to come up with an excuse for. Brushing a hair out of his face with the uninjured arm, he also brought down his mask and gave a soft sigh. He couldn't come up with anything. “If Julia hadn't have been bugging me, I wouldn't exactly be here now. I kinda stopped by the hangar about a week ago 'cause I didn't wanna go home at the time and wound up with... Well this. Think you can fix it up so my sisters will shut up about it?” he stated honestly as he rolled his sleeve up to show the crude bandaging around his arm. At least it was as clean a bandage as someone could get. Just because he isolated himself in the building that the livestock lived in, and the hangar on occasion, didn't mean he was incapable of keeping an injury clean. In fact, he was relatively OCD about cleanliness. Unfortunately enough, his three older sisters and their husbands didn't exactly leave it at that. Last time he got injured and wound up with part of a pocketknife stuck in his leg, he'd used relatively crude mannerisms to remove the blade and stitch it up. His siblings and their husbands had cornered him when the youngest of three sisters had to wash his pants and stitch the hole in the upper leg so he didn't exactly want them cornering him again. He didn't do well when backed into a corner.

Rose led him into a room with a bed and had him sit down while she looked at his arm. "How did this happen?" She asked as she looked for some bandages and a solution to clean it with.
Rose walked over to his arm and looked at it again. "It looks a few days old, it's puffy and red." Her voice was soft but she knew what she was talking about. Rose then grabbed her small knife out of her pocket and sighed deeply.

“ I just said I did this about a week ago... I was fixing something in the hangar and caught my arm on a jagged piece of metal,” he sighed irritably. It couldn't have gotten infected that quickly could it? It was fine when he'd changed the bandages at dinner. Letting out an unintelligible grumble, he made a slight motion with the hand she wasn't dealing with as if to hurry her along. He was already feeling clustered in although he hadn't been here long. Being in the hospital only made him that much more irritable. He just wanted it dealt with so he could go back to the livestock or go lay on one of those planes still sitting in the hangar. Of course he'd have to stop by the house his family shared to get supper first. They'd complain if he skipped another meal. “ Just my luck... Of course I keep it clean, air it out and take care of it like I'm supposed to and nothing's ever good enough. It still manages to get like this,” he grumbled while shooting a glare at the wall. It was better than taking his frustration out on the medic taking care of the injury.

Rose looked at him sadly, "I'm sorry this is my fourth shift. I am so tired. I heard you I just couldn't remember it." She then dragged the knife on the cut to open it open again. Rose squeezed it out to make sure it was all good then walked over to the cabinet to receive a shot.
Once she had the shot she walked back over to the bed and cleaned the wound. "You're going to hate hearing this but I suggest that you don't work with your animals tomorrow. I am giving you a tetanus shot and it could cause you to become sick or very tired if you work to hard."
Rose picked up the bandages and wrapped the wound carefully and neatly to prevent germs from growing on or in it. Then she picked up the shot and gave it to him above the cut. "I'll be around tomorrow to check up on you to make sure everything is ok." Rose said with a kind voice as she backed away to toss everything out,

“ This sucks... I'm supposed to be going out on a mission tomorrow,” he growled through clenched teeth while slouching in the spot he sat in. Hibiki was feeling even more irritable at her news, the pain radiating up his arm not helping any, but didn't plan on skipping out on the mission. It put more space between him and those trying to force him into dating altogether even if only temporarily. Glancing back up at Rose, he gave a slight half-smile as if saying thanks and showing sympathy for how many shifts she'd been through. “ You should get some rest. Those working shifts here will be fine without you holding their hands. I'm not skipping on a mission so you'll have to wait until evening,” he stated lightly before sliding off the bed. His sisters were probably gonna irritate him as soon as he got home, asking what the medics said and calling him a clumsy moron yet again. Then there was their husbands who'd probably start with their lectures of 'and that's what stalling does ya'. He didn't like crowds of people so he usually avoided places with a lot of people.

Eve just let him lead her. She was fighting one of her coughing fits. She didn't want Kane to see her like that, not again. The other fits, the ones where she passed out, weren't so bad. Her coughing fits were.

Kane closed the door behind them as he looked over to her. He pointed over to a small bucket filled with water. "There is some water should you need some." He said as he noticed that something was off about her. He slowly removed his mask and coat before setting his coat on the chair that was closest to the door and he left the mask around his neck for now.

Rose looked at the ground and then walked to her station where she sat. She wrote a letter to Hibiki's family to make sure he rested for a day and then wrote one to the leader so Hibiki wouldn't get into trouble. She stamped both with the hospital hanger's emblem.
Rose then pulled on her coat and mask to go deliver the letters herself. She ran the leaders his first before the other one. She knew she would have to explain it but she wasn't in the mood so she just left it in the doorway.
Slowly Rose walked to Hibiki's home to drop off the letter and explain to his family so he could be watched. She didn't want to because she didn't want to start anything but she had no choice. He reminded her of her fallen friend of hers that was stubborn and didn't do as he was told.

“ Keep eating, Hibiki. I got the door,” Julia hissed before opening the door and seeming somewhat shocked that the medic was here. “Oh. Hello, Miss Rose. Hibiki, quit trying to pull me away from the door! How may I help you?” Hibiki tugged on her arm again as gently as he could with his one arm that wasn't hurt only to slip and land on his rear behind the door. How he got places faster than anyone else was still a mystery, but he managed it. It probably didn't help that the medic took the slight detour to the leader's house. “ I said if it wasn't the leader not to answer the door. I'm perfectly fine,” Hibiki's voice grumbled from behind the door only to squeak when two of his brother-in-laws picked him up off the floor and dragged him back to the table. He was always getting bullied by the other family members into doing what they wanted whether he wanted to or not. A minute later, Julia had pulled Rose inside and out of the falling ash while Elenar started pushing her over towards the table. “ Join our little brother for supper as you tell us your reasoning for coming over. It's rare for us to have guests with his avoiding anyone and everyone,” the three sisters hummed in sync with each other. Their words got a grumble from Hibiki who was now picking at his food instead of eating it. “ Go home after you're done eating. I don't need a babysitter. I've gotten a tetanus shot before and didn't get sick or tired from it,” he grumbled before his head moved forward slightly when one of his sister's husbands slapped him upside the head. “ Does he need to stay home again?” “No. Ow! Stop hitting me!” “Does he?” Two of the sisters were directing glares at Hibiki as he slouched back in his chair with his arms crossed over his chest like a stubborn child while Julia had gotten a serious expression. The three men that were obviously married to the three younger females of the house all seemed to have a look that said really, Hibiki? as they stared at the younger male. “ Thanks a big jiffy lot...” Hibiki growled irritably from where he sat.

Rose looked down kind of sadly at the ground. "I um...just came here to hand this to you guys. It's my job as head doctor to make sure that everyone is alright. He needs to stay home and rest due to the infection of the wound the tetanus shot will have some effect on him." She said as she looked between everyone before her eyes settled on Hibiki.
Rose felt unwanted and then stepped inside to be polite. "I should head home now, its obvious he doesn't want me here. Oh and another thing is that I will be back tomorrow to check on his arm." She said in a tired voice before turning to leave she readjusted her mask.
"Oh and one more thing, the leader knows about your condition and you are now are off tomorrows list for the mission. Plus I am sure someone else here is capable to look after the livestock." Rose said in a stern but soft voice. "Please make it easier on everyone and just do as your told. I don't need someone else ending up as my best friend did last week." She said as she left with tears running down her face.
