A soft feline body rubbed against the bare legs of Evelina that next morning as she sat at the kitchen table, eating her bowl of cereal. As she lived alone, she could wear whatever she wanted to bed. She wore a long thin light purple nightgown with a slit that went up one leg. It was see through for the most part, but had a material covering her breasts and underneath she wore matching underwear that was revealed through the slit in the long filmy skirt. Eve bent down and picked up the orange and white cat who was her pet and held her in her lap. The cat jumped onto the counter and began to lap up what was left of Eve's cereal, which was only the milk.

Scratching the feline behind the ears a few more times, she stood and walked into her bedroom to get dressed into something more appropriate to wear outside. She draped her nightgown across the bed to wear tonight when she went to bed before she walked out of her room and out the front door, locking it behind her before she started down the streets to her little shop she went to everyday. This was the only life Eve had now. She had no friends...When one was a Fallen Angel...one also became an outcast. Eve was all right with this. She knew that this was her curse. She knew that she would be alone for the rest of her life.

Lulu jumped when she heard Tobias's voice, not expecting him to say hello this morning. She looked over at him and replied, "G-good morning..." She didn't say anything more, not really wanting to talk to Tobias that much. Or anyone else besides Lilika for that matter. But she didn't want to talk to Lilika if there were others around, or things that required her attention. Lulu didn't want to be a burden to anyone, and she wanted to help in any way she could, but she couldn't think of anything she could do. She didn't want to try farming and risk ruining the bunker's crops. And she didn't want to risk trying anything medical related and risk injuring someone. Sighing lightly, Lulu looked over at Tobias and then back to Lilika before asking, "Lili, do you think you could show me the ropes for scouting? I don't want to feel useless, and I'd rather not just sit around all day..." Scouting was a good choice in Lulu's mind, she could get outside and look around, while at the same time, run away if she got into any real danger. The only question was, could Lulu handle it?

Zera eyed the fox silently, eating her food and nodding slightly, she replied, "See, Fluffy, the problem is, you're trying to lie to a Greater Demon of Deceit. A former General of Hell. So when you choose your words, choose them more carefully huh?" Zera reached over and patted the shape shifter roughly. "I don't know what you're after, but I don't intend to stop going after his soul just because a lowlife like you doesn't want me to." Zera stopped talking and went back to eating, waiting for Gail to come out of the shower and get his slowly cooling breakfast. She knew that the shape shifter wasn't in this for the boy's soul, if he was, then there was no reason he would keep him around. Simply using someone wasn't a reason to keep their souls around, they could be perfectly useful as mindless husks, able to be controlled by any sort of semi-powerful demon.

Tobias smiled slightly at the strange girl he met the night before with no name. She seemed to really have taking a liking to Lilika....and no one else. With a soft sigh, Tobias shrugged off his bag, and started to rummage through the contents. He figured so long as he was going to help Lilika with getting these survivors fit for outdoor survival, he might as well try to make friends with them. Starting with this scared little thing. "Hey I don't suppose either of you are hungry." Tobias inquired as he finally fished something wrapped in plastic out of his bag. "I cooked this yesterday, and it's too much for me to finish on my own. It'll be a waste if no one eats it." Tobias explained as he unwrapped the plastic to reveal several long strips of thinly sliced meat. "It boar bacon. A little tougher then the stuff we could get before the virus, but it still tastes good. Do you want any?" Tobias took a piece of the bacon for himself, before offering the rest to Lilika and Lulu.

Lulu was surprised that Tobias was still talking, especially since he seemed to be directing his words at her, even if they sounded like they were pointed at both of them. Blinking, Lulu looked at him then to what he was holding, then back to him before she hesitantly took one of the slices offered to her. Something in the back of her mind told her this was a good thing, and it smelled tasty, even if it had been wrapped in plastic. Lulu hesitantly took a bite out of the strip of bacon, chewing it slowly and taking in the taste. It was salty, and crunchy but otherwise it tasted wonderful. Lulu's eyes lit up as she eagerly munched on the strip of meat. Whatever this magical cooked strip of meat was, it was delicious beyond all reasoning. Licking her lips a little, Lulu looked up at Tobias and smiled at him, saying, "T-thank you... It was delicious... What is it called? Boar bacon?" Lulu was genuinely interested; she wanted to know more about this magical mystery meat that was so delicious it made her mouth water just thinking about it. She wanted to be able to make it herself so she could enjoy it at any time. Lulu was nearly bouncing with delight, but she managed to hold it in and manage just a smile. She asked Tobias quietly, but with eagerness, "How is it made, what is it made of, how long do you cook it, what's the best way to store it, how much can you make in a batch?" Lulu fired off some questions; she really wanted to know how to make the stuff on her own. She was practically drooling already.

Tobias gnawed on his own piece of bacon slowly, more or less savoring it because it wasn't something he really got to have often. Mutated boars had a thick hide and were rather hard to kill. Plus, he usually chose to dry, or smoke any meat he caught in order to preserve it longer. Pan fried bacon (even if it was a day old) was kinda a delicacy.
He chuckled lightly as the light stated up in Lulu's eyes. He figured she would like it, but he didn't expect her to get this excited. It was kinda cute to watch her hopping around in eager curiosity. "Mmhmm, Bacon...from a boar." he confirmed. "It's made from the back and side meat of the bore, and then salted to cure it so it'll keep a little longer without refrigeration." He tried to explain. The whole process might be a little tricky to explain in words, without a boar there to cut as an example. A pity really, some of the people in the bunker looked like they could use some meat in their diet. "I'll tell you what. The next bore I bring down, I'll bring you along afterwards and show you how to make the bacon okay? And Lilika too of course." Tobias grinned, and looked over at Lilika. "That shouldn't be too long from now actually. Since I suspect with a group hunting will be much easier."

A small bird flew through the ruined city scape, not even daring to glance back at it's pursuers. The screech of a larger bird of prey coming from somewhere above made it all the more worse. The creature flapped it's wings to tiredness and beyond, the wind howling savagely past it's feathers.

The bird descended ever closer to the cracked streets and shot out of view into a tight alleyway. Before even managing to slow down, the smaller avian went through a very sudden and strange shift. In it's place, a grown, stark naked man with pale complexion and a rather thin frame flew through the air. Dumah rolled over the cold stone floor of the city, securing a moderately safe landing. The man gazed back the way he had come, looking to the eyes of the large - and very confused - bird gunning for him still, with it's beak and claws ready, though wavering.

The fallen angel's tired, golden eyes were wide with fear, but quickly altered to shine with anger and determination. His right hand swiped the lid of a round, metallic trashcan and his left stretched out to halt and grab the large flying creature. His hand grasped it by the neck, and the animal tore at his arm with it's claws and beak, until getting hit over the head by the metal lid. Dumah was forced to take slow steps backward as the animal tried to resist and kept fighting, but it's efforts were fruitless against the strength of man.
There were sounds of repeated, loud, banging as Dumah overcame his foe.

He had backed onto the side of a street, holding a bleeding and dead bird in one hand, and a messy trashcan lid in the other. His heart still beat furiously in his chest from the rush of the moment. Dumah could only hope for that the monsters he had fled from in the shape of a bird were not able to track him this far into the city. But now, a new problem and foe faced him.

Dumah turned his head to look down the sidewalk, becoming aware of the footsteps he had been ignorant of till now. A youthful human female, or so she looked anyway, was walking right towards him. His face reddened at the thought that the lady had been there the whole time, and he was constantly in her view since coming out of the alley. Then, he remembered he was still naked. Birds did not carry human clothes well, after all.

Dumah fumbled back with a gasp, tripped, and in the midst of falling changed to the form of a young boy. The blue haired kid, looking in terror and embarrassment up at the female with his large aquamarine eyes. He scrambled back and tried to cover himself up with the metal lid he still had in hand.
Sure enough, he had failed to play the part of a human poorly when in such shock, and had gone so far as to use his powers when in her sights. Now, he had no idea what to expect, and would have to calm down before he did anything else reckless.

Nyxrin was lightly petting one of her conjured imps on the head while she gazed in a very bored fashion out at the city sky line. She didn't particularly feel like going back to hell just yet. Not with battle scars and nothing to show for it. And especially not before her next shift. She knew all too well what happened when you looked like you were enjoying your time off a little too much. You get tossed back on duty without any way to argue against it.

With a soft sigh, the imp disappeared in a puff of flames, and Nyx conjured a portal to climb through, bringing herself to a different part to the city. Surely there had to be something more interesting then this happening elsewhere. Maybe she could find some humans and convince them to give up there souls or something. As she walked by a old, crumbling building that looked like a human factory of some sort, Nyxrin heard a soft growling mutter come from the roof of the building. Curious, Nyx climbed up the crumbling structure to see what was up there. Much to her surprise, there was another demon. A greater demon at that. "Looky what I found here." Nyxrin murmured, approaching the greater demon. Odd to see them on the surface, so far from their cushy hellish mansions. "Found yourself on the wrong side of the surface during a blood moon did you?" Nyxrin asked as she knelt down by the greater demon. In truth she had no idea what happened to this demon. But it was a fair guess. The mutants were...overwhelming.

Moving a little closer to take a closer look at the demon's face, Nyxrin tilted her head slightly. "You know...I could probably cauterize that for you...until we get you back down to hell." Nyxrin offered. Why was she being so polite? Because she didn't necessarily want her a** handed to her by a greater demon, nor did she feel like getting demoted to shoveling hell hound s**t for the rest of her existence.

"A former general of Hell, eh? What happened? Did you reject Satan's desires and he banished you? Oh you poor thing, you. But if you're a former general of hell, then why do you still have your powers? Aren't they normally taken from you when you're banished?" Fluffy retorted, his eyes narrowing slightly as he glared across the table at Zera. But before Zera or Fluffy could say another word to each other, footsteps approached from down the hall where the bathroom was located.

Gail came back into the room, wearing nothing but the pants he had been wearing before. He was using a towel to dry the excess water from his damp hair. "Smells good in here. Hope it tastes twice as good!" he said, referring to the food Zera had set out on the table for him. He draped the towel over his shoulders and sat in the chair behind his plate. "Thanks a lot. You didn't have to make me breakfast." Gail said before actually starting to eat.

Zera glared at the fox and replied simply, "Actually yes, that's it exactly." Zera chuckled as he asked why she still had her powers but didn't answer as she heard Gail come out from the bathroom and spout some words her way. Zera went back to her act and said, "Well I was going to make some for myself and I figured I'd make some for you and your fuzzball as well, I had the supplies. It's been ready a while but I guess you were enjoying your shower, I don't blame you. Hot water is hard to come by these days." Zera paused in her speaking and ate the rest of her food, standing and bringing her plates to the kitchen before walking to the sliding glass door and opening it, stepping out onto the balcony and closing the door behind her and sighing, looking out at the ruined landscape with a smile. "Beautiful..." She thought as she appraised the ruined city. She wondered how long the humans would last, and whether they would survive or not. Humans were adaptable creatures, so she didn't doubt they'd somehow find a way to pull through.

Lilika chuckled and rested a hand on Lulu’s shoulder, “perfect, I have several people who are willing to join you , all you need to show them is the basics, Ill join you and the others as well to make sure no one gets lost” she smiled and patted Lulu’s shoulder once before turning to walk through their shelter once more, bringing back a handful of volunteers.
“I do appreciate this Tobias, if there is any way we can help you more I'm sure we can figure something out.” She looked to lulu as well, happy she was starting to rebound from her incident the day before. “You're sure your up for this right now?” she asked her once more, if she hesitated Lilika decided to try and talk her out of it.
She recalled the first few groups of people they had managed to aid when this epidemic had gone out of control, several had been too scared to do anything, and others had been fairly helpless in their panic and psychotic ranting. She had tried her best with them but she learned over time that some people just needed to be handled with patience. The world was now in complete disarray, some people couldn’t handle it.

Vira opened her good eye and stared at the demon that had come to her, sitting up She hissed and shook her head cursing this damned world for making things painful, she was hungry for a soul, perhaps that was why she was unable to heal so quickly, the man who had pulled the gun, he had been devout and caused the shot gun blast to be enough pain to her that she had to run… the demon of malice running from a fight.
”what do you want” she growled as she stood, her face had almost finished healing but for the skin, muscles were partially closed over her right eye and it seemed to glow yellow as she looked down over the gate guardian.

Tobias waited there while Lilika left to gather up her volunteers. As everyone gathered, Tobias searched his bag for any food he might be able to spare. Some of them looked rather hungry, as rations were likely the bare minimum around here. They could probably use a few extra calories. He gave out what he could, though still being careful to reserve a little for his own rations. "Hmm...so is this everyone then?" Tobias asked, looking over the few faces before looking back to Lilika. "Just trading is a huge help. That's all I could really ask for. But thank you." He added to her. There were after all lots of things that he couldn't get in the forest. Having a place where he could find such things was a better advantage then he's used to having.

Tobias waited a few moments for everyone to gather what they were bringing, and in general just to get ready. Some looked nervous, probably from not spending much time out in the wilderness, even before the virus. "Well if everyone is ready...shall we get going?" Tobias suggested, as he adjusted his pack on his back, and loaded his shot gun as a precaution. Once he was ready, he headed for the shelter door, assuming the others would follow behind.

Nyxrin moved back slightly as the injured, recovering greater demon motioned to sit up. "Well aren't you all bright and cheerful this morning." Nyxrin muttered under her breath. Being injured like that, it was probably quite the hit to the demon's ego. In her experience they did all think rather highly of themselves.

"Just curious is all. Your kind don't tend to show there faces around here." Nyxrin answered simply, her tail moving in a slow sway behind her. She looked up at the one good eye, and the one glowing yellow eye with a slightly tilted head. She was still for a moment, as if she was trying to place this demon. Though greater demons so rarely bothered with the gate that it wasn't surprising that Nyxrin couldn't think of a name for the face. Or...well half the face. "Hmmm...and I thought seeing that fallen was a rare sight."

When suddenly faced with a humanoid figure running toward the car, Johnathan had one common reaction. He slammed down the breaks, causing the car to screech to a halt, just as the man also turned the wheel.

The vehicle skidded to a halt with the driver's side facing the way of the approaching, running monster. What else could it be, John's mind figured, when it was running to him with such a disturbingly pleased expression.

The window was rolled down and with the ex-priest's stern expression the double-barrel of a weapon was lifted up. There was a 'click', and after some hesitation... no bang. Johnathan's expression turned to one of confusion as he glanced down at the weapon, then at the female, and began fumbling for some shells from his pockets.
