Muka was actually, perhaps maybe, falling asleep. He made hooting vibrations, slow breaths, his large head tucked down at an unreal angle on his extended neck. "Hmm?" Only Needle's talking had stirred the strix. "Of course.. of course." His voice was slow and sleepy. "I think I may have dozed!" There was a short giggle. His wings extended from around her, creating a swirl of air around the ghost. He stretched, head craning and yawning with a wide beak. Strange, he'd been so wired when the evening had started but just spending time with this ghoul had calmed him down. "I think I have thought of an easier way to fly this time." He giggled. "But not like this." Once more his wings stretched to indicate his form.

Needle grinned when she realized that he passed out. Well, almost passed out. It was cute, listening to him hoot in his sleep. The smooth, slow vibrations from his sleep-breathing was likely why she was on her way to falling asleep herself; monkey see, monkey do almost. As his wings left her, she shivered from the sudden rush of air and the sudden lack of heat, slowly getting to her feet. She didn't want to leave his warmth, but if she was out any longer her sister might worry.
"Oh?" Needle managed to bite back a yawn of her own, settling for stretching to get her ghostly blood flowing and to shake off the warm fuzzies that threatened to knock her out. "How, then?" He had her attention and curiousity then, her fingers linked and in the air, stretching her arms as far above her head as she could physically go.

Muka stretched now too, extending his powerful legs and standing tall before returning to the usual semi-crouch. His shoulders seemed to roll a moment and with a shake, he shifted back.
"The easiest way.." Muka giggled and rubbed his neck. "I'll just carry you!" His wings flexed but he held out his arms. "Like a princess!" Another crazy giggle.

The fifth time, and she still cringed at the sound of his shifting.
Behind her mask, her eyes went wide. "...Princesses have their own carrying style?" She sounded in awe, but curiousity drew her closer to him. His arms were open after all, and she had already come to learn that it meant it was an invitation. "Will it...be safe?" For him, of course. There wasn't one hold where she imagined he was safe from her spikes.

"Like in the stories.." He giggled and in a moment had bent and swept her up into his arms. She wasn't very heavy and being a ghost was definitely a benefit when it came to weight. He may end up poked, but she was at least still wearing his jacket.
"What do you think?" Muka giggled and squeezed the ghoul a bit in his arms, reassuring that he had her.

"Stories?" For all her reading, she didn't recall ever coming across Princess Style carrying. She was just learning all the things today, apparently! As he scooped her up she inhaled sharply in alarm, tensing up and bringing one hand across her body to grip the fabric of his somewhat opened shirt. Her other arm she kept bent across her stomach, pinned there by the fabric of her top.
"I...I think this could be alright?" She was guessing, no, hoping. "I trust you." That was the important thing, it seemed.

Ulmuka actually had an easier time with this flight than the last. He was less concerned that she would slip off his back this time around. He tried to keep low again, hopefully on the second flight she would try and look-see at what was around them.
It was a breezy, lazy flight but soon enough the strix was setting the ghoul down back where he'd found her in front of the ghost dorms. Fewer students drifted about due to the hour and even Muka himself was looking drowsy, despite his grin.
"Here we are!"

At first, Needle had absolutely no interest in looking down or any movement that involved taking her head away from his shoulder. But as the fear of falling faded in his secure grip, she did turn her head to see what she could, through both her mask and her long hair as it twisted and shifted with the wind. It wasn't so bad, she thought. Still scary, but...not so bad at all, really.
As he set her back down she held onto him for a moment longer, getting the feeling back in her legs. That was when she realized just how tired he sounded, and the way he carried himself differently. Oh dear, poor boil was exhauted! Carrying both their weights like a champ.
"You may rest here for the night if you wish, Muka. If the flight back home is too long." She knew his dorm wasn't that far away, but her room was much closer than anything else. A few more steps and they'd be inside...and she could cuddle into his down again, which would be very nice indeed. But, of course, it was entirely up to him.

Muka, now that he was sleepy, knew that he'd be in trouble if he stayed out overnight. Or would he? Hadn't his father given him a 'manly' sort of gift earlier this very night? He could do what he wanted!
"I'd like that.." He nodded with a sleepy smile. "If you don't mind." His head bobbled with a laugh. "What will the neighbors say! You have a boil over for the night?!"
The engraver still leaned slightly against him after the flight and so he simply kept his arm on her waist, giving her support. "You will have to lead the way this time, I think."
Another first! He'd never spent the night with a ghoul before!

"I don't mind." Needle confirmed with a small smile. "So long as you don't mind being in a windowless room." She was used to being in a cramped, stuffy place; but as a bird she recognize that he might not be completely okay with that.
"If you are sure..." She led him to the pristine mausoleum and then down below ground into the well-kept ghost dorms. They had marked the path to their rooms with invisible ink long ago, and even if the ink had since been cleaned away she knew exactly how many steps it took to get to where she wanted to be.
"As for my neighbours...it is nobody's business but my own!" Needle chuckled softly, counting the steps in her head as she guided him through the dorms. "My sister may be suspicious of you, if she were to find out." Needle hated keeping things from her sister, but with how untrusting recluse she had become lately...it was easier on her to keep things to herself now.
"Here we are!" She announced, stopping in front of a door. Her grip left him then, moving to merely turn the handle to open it; she never used her lock, apparently. First glance into the room showed complete blackness.
"Ah, one moment." The Engraver stepped into the darkness, her footsteps silent as she found what she was looking for; some baby bombs, who came to life with a poke. The room brightened somewhat, but she imagined it would be enough for Muka.
"All right, now here we are." She gestured towards the somewhat lit plain room; Tatami flooring with a few spots of what was either blood or ink in some places, a low table with a kneeling cushion in front of it held up some apparently doodled over pages. A mostly unused dresser with variously filled bottles organized almost meticulously on top and a cot which at first glance appeared dirty. Upon closure inspection, it was just covered with ink transfer from newer and still healing tattoos. All in all it was the bare minimum with an Engraver flare.
"It is not much, but it is home." She made sure the door was closed behind him, and then gestured wide and vague. "Please, make yourself at home...if you can." While she had never felt bad for her standard of living, she did fear that her lack of, well, things might be boring to him...even if he was sleepy.

Ulmuka was alright with the dim light. His eyes had an easy time in the darkness. He was a bit of a nocturnal predator, after all. The simplicity amazed him but he would never even think to judge. The strix was well aware that all lifestyles were different and that some had different needs, wants and likes than others. He imagined that as a ghost she had less needs than others but also there was something refreshing about her lack of care for what others thought.
"It's very you." He giggled. He meant that as a compliment. Her restraint, her simplicity and placid demeanor. He could taste it in the air of the room.
"Where should I sleep?" He wouldn't take her bed from her, it wasn't very polite. Besides he didn't usually lay down anyway. "Ahh.. I usually sleep in my natural form." He lifted a finger to inform. His talons may ruin her cot!
He honestly would love to walk around, examine everything, but he was a bit sleepy behind his grin.

"Thank you? I should hope it is me!" Needle chuckled softly before tilting her head and pursing her lips thoughtfully. Where SHOULD he sleep? Hmmm. Suddenly, the ghoul straightened as if a sudden thought shocked her, wordlessly leaving his side to a simple sliding-door closet somewhat hidden by the lack of light.
Moments later she returned, dropping thick blankets in the corner near her floor cot. "It is not much, but perhaps these will do?" She pulled the corners into something more bed-like, down on her knees and smoothing out the unused comforter carefully before patting it in an invitation for him to make himself comfortable. "May I make a perhaps strange request?" She didn't mean to keep him awake, she was sleepy too; but she had to ask. It was too tempting not to.

The tall boil wandered over and draned his neck down to the comforter. "Thank you!" It would do nicely, though he may end up bunching it up and around him like a nest.. >.>
He was rolling his shoulder, preparing to shift, when she expressed a request. "Very few things sound strange to me!" The bird boil snickered. "What is it?"

"Would it be all right if I slept with you?" Needle meant it in the most literal sense of course. Sex hadn't been discussed since earlier, and she had been satisfied with the answer at the time. Since he had showed her his real form though, and once she had learned how cozy it was...well, she wanted to make good on the almost that had already once happened. She wanted to fall asleep in that down, if he would let her.
"I do not move in my sleep, I will not stab you by accident." She assured him, still sitting on her knees next to the comforter.

He tilted his head and grinned. The memory of warm snuggling was still fresh in his mind. It had been nice, the mutual energy, the comfort. The contact was difficult to resist and he didn't even think of the other insinuation of her phrasing.
"Yes of course! It was very comfortable.." His head bobbled cheerfully and with the familiar sound, his mass increased and shifted until the massive owl man was stepping in the blanket, shifting it with his feet, and molding it into a makeshift nest. He shuffled side to side, ruffled and unruffled, wing stretched, and then finally settled and stopped moving. His long neck seemed to disappear when he sunk his fluffy head down into his body. The large yellow eyes blinked unevenly and his beak cracked in a smile.
"Alright." The feral voice reverberated from his mass as he extended his wings to her.
