Dario watches the beautiful woman as she eats her fruit and talks to the child/ He could tell she had taken his act the wrong way. He was about to approach her when one of the men grabbed his hood and pulled down. His Revealing his dark eyes and long dark hair he'd pulled into a ponytail and is long pointed ears. "Well look what we have here," Says one of them noticing the slave mark on his neck "An elf and a slave at that."

Mara's eyes locked onto the men. With all the commotion the other man was making it was hard not to overhear. A slave? Was he mad to come to Dokoro? As a slave?! Straightening her posture she watched in silence. Preparing to jump into it if it got to rough. No. No, she wasn't going to wait that long. Finishing off her fruit she stood and not a moment later was already walking up to the lot of men. As she walked, her eyes locked onto the elven slave, examining him. She had stopped in front of him, reaching behind his head she pulled up the mans hood back over his head. Looking to the other men with hateful eyes. "Is there a problem here with my slave?" Even her voice was hateful. "If so... your about to have a much bigger problem." She glanced to the elf once more, hoping he would play along. Pretending to become impatiant with the men she shot her gaze back at them and barked like an old librarian if it got too loud. "Well?! I haven't got all day to watch a lot of men gawk and harass my slaves!" She actually had slammed the palm of her hand into the wall next to them causing those around them to jump slightly.

Dario was stunned at the woman's willingness to come rescue him, he quickly caught on to her cue. "Please My Lady do not concern yourself with these low lives," He replies as one of the men places a blade under his neck and another points his sword at the woman. "The only problem with your slave is he's ours now," said the one with his blade under the elf's neck. Dario tried to wrestle free only getting himself cut a little could she handle them on her own?

Mara didn't even take a single eye off the man with the sword. Swiftly she lifted her hand at the man who held her so called slave with a knife to his throat, a burst a purple and black flame shot from the palm of her hand and right into the mans face, causing his flesh to sear horribly. And with one last swift movement Mara had spun around the last armed man. Yanking at what hair he had, bring his head back. And with that she spoke an incantation. "A sinning mans fate unwinds..." Her voice was now a choir of all sorts of voices, revealing her demonic power. "Cross his heart and hope to die..." She dragged her finger with the sharp metal claw on it across the mans chest where his heart would be. "A desire now forgotten, my mark which reminds." Blood trickled from the carving. Pulling away her hand reveals an X had been carved. The X had glowed purple for a moment and faded. Leaving behind a bleeding scratch. She growled low in the mans ear, her voice returning to normal. "This mark will prevent you from harming anyone else. Now get out of my sight you pigs." The man with the X had collected his friend as the two tore out of the area.

Dario knelt before the woman. He'd never seen anything like her before she was every bit strong as she was beautiful. "Thank you for saving me my lady my life is yours, do with it what you will." As he spoke he could feel his chest becoming tight.

Her eyes landed on the elf. "Hmn... you offer your life to a demon of desire elf?" Her expression was still cold. "Why? And bring yourself to your feet elf." She turned and walked back to her bench. "I've had many lives offered to me before elf, what makes you different?" She sat, leaning back.

Dario got to his feet still clutching at his chest ignoring the blood dripping down his neck. "I offer my life to the woman who saved my life as my people's way mandates. I care not for your origins for mine are far less then pure," Dario replies beginning to sweat from the pain.

☆Kå† Ä¥åmå☆ The Striped Demon Kat entered the city of Dokoro once more, but this time she wasn't out to steal something to sell. With four days of traveling behind her and consuming only a small apple, Kat was famished. She needed to steal something to eat. Hopefully she wouldn't run into that Dread from last time again, or even worse, Rokan. She'd outrun the Cerberus pack in different places, but she doubted she could do it on their own turf. It would be futile to try and fight them, and there's a very slight chance that she'd get away on foot, so the best bet would be to stay out of trouble all together. "Alright Kat..." she mumbled to herself. "Let's try not to get yourself killed this time...last time I escaped by a thread."
Kat's eyes met the eyes of multiple people she could have as targets. An old man who'd just bought some food for himself, A younger woman who'd just purchased some food for her family, and a few other vulnerable targets. She went for the younger woman, simply because she looked healthier and more fit than the much old man. Kat picked up her pace, and as she ran by the woman, used her long and trusty tail to snatch her basket from her. The woman hadn't the time to tell who'd just stolen from her, but she shrieked when she notice her basket was gone. There were few witnesses to this, so Kat was safe. For now.
Kat soon found herself in an ally, eating like a wild beast. She had been starving, and finally her stomach was full for a little while. Her plan was to keep a low profile here in Dokoro, which meant not to trust anyone with her name, description, or anything else about her.She feared for her well being if the word of a master thief got to the ears of a Knight or one of the Cerberus Pack. If she was captured, she wondered what would become of her. The usual punishment for thieves here in Dokoro was slavery, but in her case Doko might not be so merciful. She had knocked him over and stolen one of his banners not to long ago.Yawning, the demon found herself getting quite tired, but with so much danger around, how could she possibly sleep? She needed a safe place to rest and she knew just the place to sneak in.
Kat made her way to the Fallen Chapel of Dokoro, being sure to properly examine it's exteriors and such. She silently entered, making sure to be careful about the door closing behind her. She surveyed her area carefully, then jumped up to a rafter in the chapel. She curled up on it and soon fell into a light sleep. Little did she know, her long tail had drifted and was now hanging from the rafter...

◣→Freedom→Has→Its→◥ ◣Price→◥ ❦ ((Enter)) As the ship docked at the port landing in the kingdom, Charlotte forced herself to walk off the ship, and quickly came to a fall on the wooden pathway in which some fishermen stood to see the figure laying still. Charlotte at the moment, quivered with a high fever. her skin sickly pale, and forehead sweating. She looked to her arms and her vains could be seen. It was obvious to tell a Spire from the human race, their pointy ears, wings, but most of all their reaction to any illness. ❦ When she thought she saw a guard walking near her direction, the Spire forced herself to com to stand. She felt nausea strike her hard, as she walked, it was like she was getting motion sickness just by taking a step forward. Charlotte tilted her hat further down to hide her features, it would appear that her wanted poster did make it here. As of right now though, she needed a place to rest....To heal up.... ❦ On her small journey into the city, far off a little ways to the back of town she saw a chapel, perhaps the nuns there would take pity, and show mercy to her poor soul. As she stumbled to the steps, Charlotte couldn't go any further. this was it for her, her energy was gone. She thought she was dieing at this point. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head as she fainted right by the steps in front of the chapels door. When she weakly opened her tired eyes, she looked up to see a cross, fading in and out of her memories. It was like she found what she was looking for....Solitude... "Not......Yet..." She smiled to herself before passing out...

Chris Rushlon The Wanderer It was hard to say where Chris had ended up, after stepping through that portal of darkness. As far as he could tell, he was in some... other realm of sorts. Or maybe, due to the fact that the place was dark and empty, he was traversing the darkness of the world, the shadows and dimness of the night... It was hard to say, but what he did know was the white shadow of Charlotte on the ground a ways off from him. He couldn't understand why he knew this in the first place, but what was more important to him was getting to her. He had a promise to uphold, regardless if she wanted him there or not.
And so he proceeded forward. Every time he took a step forward, it felt more like a giant lunge of over fifty feet away, and yet he was still so far from that white shadow... She was moving as well, he could tell, but if this kept up he would reach her before long. This traversal continued on and on... until finally he noticed that the shadow wasn't moving any longer. No, this time it was lying still on the ground. What had happened? He didn't know... Once he had reached where the shadow was, he stopped for a moment before approaching it slowly. Bending down next to it, he reached his hand forward...
Next thing he knew, he wasn't in that shadowy place anymore. Now, he was kneeling right beside the true form of Charlotte, his hand pressed upon ehr forehead. He didn't know how he did that, but he didn't care... She was gravely ill. "Damn it, Charlotte..." he said to himself as she was out. "Think before you act..."
Looking down at his right hand, he thought once more over that other new power of his... that 'light'. He couldn't feel that from his right, but his left... Looking over to his left hand, he thought he could see a faint glow in his palm. Yeah... that was it. Placing his palm upon her stomach, he closed his eyes as he tried to focus that same light upon her, as he had done to himself that one time. And in seconds, it worked. A wave of light overcame her body, slowly doing what it could to ease or even cure her sickness. When the light had faded, Chris shifted his stance as that he was sitting on the bottom step of the chapel, his hands once again unhooking his cloak and laying it down upon her. There was no reason to move her from where she was... but there was also no reason why it couldn't be comfortable to her as well.

◣→Freedom→Has→Its→◥ ◣Price→◥ ❦ In her dream she witnessed someone holding onto her hand tightly, the two of them running. It was in this motion that she felt the sensation of being in love, as though the two were running away from their elderly. The two were laughing still running in the open field. Soon a white flash took over and revealed another scene. this time, a more dark past. She was in a room full of pillows, the iron shackle burning at her right ankle as a man with no face, no, she couldn't remember it, bent forward and began to do unspeakable things. Flashes of her arching her head with tears of disgust rolling past her cheek, hands sliding further up her legs till a gasp could be heard. ❦ Again, another white flash took her, again with the meadow of tall grass and the mysterious man standing there with his back to her. Charlotte could see herself as a child standing there with her little hands wiping away the tears, cries of despair... The figure slowly began to face Charlotte, vaguely she could hear him say something, but as he turned the white flash consumed her, leaving her in total darkness. Weakly she opened her eyes to the faint scent of Honey. ❦ At first, her eyesight was hazed, nothing but a blur, but once they focused, she saw Chris to her aid. She still felt weak, but not as much as before. in the position she was in, she was able to look down at her hands, she noticed that she bore no signs of illness, or being pale for that matter. She looked up to Chris with a blank expression. Why did he help me? Why did he come back for me?....For what reason? She continue to remind herself he was one of no emotion or capable of owning such, so he wasn't obligated to even come after her, heck, Charlotte was in the train of thought he would shrug it off and go about his original business...Yet here he is... No matter, Charlotte smiled weakly, closing her eyes again, leaning into him, and just for this one moment, she enjoyed this comfort.

Chris Rushlon The Wanderer Chris' gaze fell upon Charlotte as he felt her lean into him, seeing that weak smile upon her face as she just rested there. In response, he didn't move nor say anything, only allowing her to rest as long as she needed to. Instead, he could only think over why he had followed her. It was logically simple, really... He had made a promise to help her find this person she was looking for. It had been far too long since he had such a purpose, such resolve... He felt he had an obligation to help Charlotte, even if he gained nothing emotionally from the outcome.
For now, though, his attention fell to his hands, the palms empty and the usual looking... So, these powers... It wasn't enough that he had uncanny strength and endurance... Now he had... what. Left... light. Right... dark. Light and darkness. Did he have control over both? No, that would be incorrect? Was he controlled by them? ...No, not quite. Was he a conduit to them? ... A possibility, but little proof to back it up. It was a curious circumstance, but he couldn't deny that they so far had proved handy...
Shifting his attention back to the resting Charlotte, he sighed softly as he finally decided to speak. "I suppose... this is as best as any place to start searching," he said lightly.

◣→Freedom→Has→Its→◥ ◣Price→◥ ❦ As the rain ceased, Charlotte slowly opened her eyes to hear the statement from Chris. Which brought a smile to her face. Event though she wouldn't mind rather or not he continued to follow her or not, she was still happy he was one to keep his promise. ❦ "Lets find a place to keep a roof over our heads..." She spoke weakly. She was still weak from ammonia due to her wet clothing and the chill air around her. If she were to persist on the search, straining her body further, would result in something critical..... ❦ "you're going to have to do the search without me this time *cough* I need my rest....please.." she spoke again with her wheezing breath. Charlotte wanted to move herself up to see if she could, but the pain was to great. She wasn't use to coming down with sickness like this...The search might have to be on hold for herself to heal up...

☆Kå† Ä¥åmå☆ The Striped Demon Soon enough Kat was awakened by the sound on conversation on the outside of the chapel. She yawned, and poked her head out to further listen. Should she help? It might give her a few allies. Sighing, Kat jumped down from the rafters and quickly opened the door. Kat wrapped her massive, powerful tail around the two, and dragged them inside the Chapel. She stared blankly at them for a small while. "You know, You really shouldn't be outside when you're sick like that." Spoke the Demon as she walked around the two and observed them. "But, Because I'm kind enough, I'll nurse you back to health. I've nothing better to do." She continued, looking at the woman. Kat stopped circling around the two and yawned once more.
Kat had never once have the beef to bring herself to leave a sick or hungry person alone. She'd always had the urge to help, which was contrary to the average demon stereotype. She sat down in front of the woman, looking at her with utmost kindness. "First things first, you need to dry off or you'll get even more sick." she said. Kat used her tail to dry off the woman, then with a small shake out of the door, she released the water. She came back in and stared. "Are you hungry, Gamin?" she asked the female, not paying particular attention to the male with her. He looked just fine, except for his ugly shoes. Kat waited for her answer to see if she would go a grab something quick for her.

◣→Freedom→Has→Its→◥ ◣Price→◥ ❦ With a slight jolt to the shock of feeling random fur wrap around them, she found herself being dragged inside, the climate changed from being out in the cold to being inside the decent warm chapel. Charlotte was both confused and surprised that someone was willing to help out, even to the fact that she knew naught of who she was. ❦ Weakly, Charlotte sat herself up to face the new comer as well as be able to see her companion, Chris. "Aren't you concerned with who you help out?" In this she much referred to the fact that in a way, Charlotte was a felon, an escaped slave who is now on wanted posters to be brought back. ❦ Though, with a curious brow raised, she wondered if this demon by chance, had not seen, or simply does not care much like Chris here. " I need wheat to restore my energy....A little amount will be enough....please." She was more then grateful to the fact that she was getting all the more help, in fact while Chris could do the information search, she could get help healing up. Maybe even make a new friend. "Thank you." Charlotte added with a weak smile.
