Nami got up and walked over to him on all fours. She curled up beside him, basically inviting him to rub her fur. She only wore just enough to cover what needed to be covered so pretty much all of her fur was exposed.

Maximus opened one of his eyes to see what it was she was up to. He looked at her curled up beside him. He slowly and tentatively reach out his hand and placed it on her back and felt her fur. It was soft and felt nice, he slowly moved his hand along her back.

Nami purred. In many ways she was just like a cat and this Human reminded her of the mage that had once saved her life when she was still a cub, only nine years old.

Maximus heard her purr and he slowly moved his hand up towards her head. He scratched her behind her ear, he knew that shape-shifters often acted more like their animal counterpart.

Nami rolled onto her back. What she wore barely covered what it needed to since she'd been wearing it since she was a cub. She didn't care though.

Maximus couldn't his smile as he moved his hand and started to rub her fur on her stomach. He saw that she could use something new to cover herself, but she didn't seem to care. He was enjoying hearing her purr, it was a rather nice sound.

Maximus removed his hand and placed it back onto his staff as he looked at her. He told her "A very wise and old mage." It was all that he was going to say about him.

"How many years ago?" Maximus asked. He believed that she was referring to his teacher, but he had to check and see if the time matched what he was thinking of. He has been with his teacher for about 11 years, his father sent him to the mage rather early in his life.

"I was nine or ten," Nami said slowly. "I almost died in my Human form. It...had to be cut from me or I would have died. I did die for a moment or two."

Maximus nodded his head as his eyes grow slightly wider. It made sense, it was her that his teacher saved when he joined him. He told her "It was you that he saved."

Honi finished polishing her knives and hopped down off the boulder. Her hunt had been interrupted, and she was hungry. She shifted to her humanoid lupine form and scented the air for anything other than human, elf, or vampire. The deer she'd been hunting was long gone, but she caught the scent of rabbit. That would do.

"Yes I remember you, it was one of the first times that I saw my teachers more powerful magic." Maximus told her as he cast a glance towards the window, the sun was almost gone out of the sky to be replaced by night. "Won't be much longer." he said inclining his head towards the small window.
