A couple of Pokemon walked by, as well as... a tree? No way, that was a Sudowoodo. Those things were relatively rare anywhere you went. Nudging Plato, Chael said "Use Water Gun." The turtle shot out a burst of water knocking it over after wobbling to it. It lunged, using Wood Hammer. Which just a easily knocked him out. "Bruce, use Low Kick!" Chael commanded as the hulk of a Pokemon ran over and tripped the tree. Taking out a Pokeball, he threw then caught it. The sphere turned into a red energy then teleported to the PC.

Deciding he had enough Pokemon to risk a trade, Chael got up. "Hey, I'm gonna see if Gage is willing to make a trade. Knowing him, he'll be at the ruins. Wanna go before we get too far?" he asked as he returned all but Lizzy. Jumping on top, he let her spark some low level energy around on her head. It didn't touch Chael and it actually lighted the area around him. He had thought this countless times but he loved this zebra. Quickly, they galloped off.

"If you're not coming and I'm not back for a bit, I'll meet you at the Addobe Pokemon Center tomorrow morning!" Chael called out as they left.

Night settled in so Chael let his team sit around the fire. Argos had avoided evolution in his Pokeball and was now contently resting with one eye open. Plato was looking at the new world, eyes on the verge of closing. Tsuki and Hikari were laying down next to each other still with Lizzy behind them. Then Bruce had already nodded off, contently asleep.

Chael was still wide awake. He kept a hand on an unused Pokeball, minimizing and maximizing it in turns. Imapatience was his fatal flaw. Victory Road? He needed all the badges just to get there. All the badges to find a Riolu. Maybe he'd take a break from badge getting. Look around and find some good Pokemon to study. He already had a place in mind to check. Once tomorrow hit, he'd make a mad dash for route five.

It wasn't long before the youth returned, riding his Zebstrika across the desert. There wasn't much to do now. Chael wanted to take a break from the badge journey and scope the competition. He did have the time and a two badge seniority for time. "Hey, I got that Pokemon I was searching for." he said to Nolan, jumping off his zebra Pokemon.

His hand went to the fourth ball on his belt. "Want to see? Be careful... he likes messing with minds." he said. The illusion Pokemon was correctly named as another Chael appeared in the distance, angrily shaking his fast as he raced towards the other Chael.

Upon reaching the forest, Chael began to look around once more. Being a researcher would be hard work if he didn't try to familiarize him with as many ecosystems as possible. In a sense that'd make him a biologist. He sent out Lizzy to keep him company. The sense of familiarity overcame him, letting him feel protected. If there was another Pokemon he had to pick instead of Argos, it'd be her.

"A forest should be pretty diverse. We won't need bugs or birds. Try looking for mice." he asked of her as they walked around.
