Oh. Right. He was ON the Sands! Ailin barely had a moment to register that thought before he landed butt first in the hot sand. A heavy weight upon his chest. With the wind knocked out of him Ailin he was unable to yell and could only blink in shock at the blue face above him. The second hatchling to come through the boys had also taken notice of him. Ailin turned his face sideways, laying as still as he could till the creature bounded off with a chirp.
Ailin stayed there as he tried to catch his breath. He felt no real pain but the fear that he'd broken something was quite real. Memories of his brother's goring flashed through his mind. He gingerly felt his ribs with his long fingers. The robe had small tears where the wild blue's claws had dug in but there was no blood or pain that he could tell. Outside of a major fright Ailin seemed to be fine.

S'koi responded with a faint, amused smile. "Certainly looks like it. Perhaps they should meet when he's a bit older." Then the two dragons may end up conversing till the end of time, but at least they would likely have fun while doing so? He was just glad that Laith was more the quiet type like himself.
Though speaking of 'having fun', it seemed that the loud blue was quite a bit eager to have a look through the male Candidates. Only it wasn't so much a 'look through' as a 'knock-everyone-over-while-enthusiastically-looking-for-Mine'. If he was even looking for His just yet. It was sort of hard to tell. At least the quieter blue was helping out the poor boys in his brother's path. "Was Sleeth that excitable when she first Hatched?" After so many Hatchings, it was difficult to remember each dragon's specifically. Especially when he hadn't really known Akaya very well until fairly 'recently'.

Oh my. Roeline could certainly understand wanting to play (better than most, really), but perhaps that blue should be a bit more careful as he greeted the boys? Whoever was is would probably have to be sure to teach him how to play safely. If he tried bounding through people like that as an adult dragon there would be big trouble for sure. Still, at least he and his were sure to have lots of fun together.

Allaxon's eyes widened as both blues bounded over. He squeaked in a very unmanly way as one of the boys beside him got bowled over by the over exuberant hatchling. Allaxon then smiled as the energy of this young one was catchy. His brother was quieter and more levelheaded and used his body to balance some of the boys the other toppled over. What a quintessential brother relationship. They were both darling little creatures.

Siano watched the playful antics of the two blues with a smile on her face, she had admired the greens when they had passed from a distance and rejoiced when others impressed. It was a truly magical time. She giggled a bit as one of the blues clobbered a boy, then decided that was not quite the right one, and moved on. The other blue, ever the more caring one attempted to right the others unbalancing moves.

Boisterous and full of energy, the loud blue kept running through the boys until he ran headlong into Freniar. All but rolling up on himself, the little blue let out a bleat of surprise and blinked at the boy he'd tackled. Cocking his head to the side, he seemed to seriously regard the other then flapped his wings and bugled loudly, clearly incredibly pleased to have run into the boy. Freniarmine! Your Solath has found you! Feed me!More eggs were hatching now as well, and the Eye-of-the-Storm rocked to and fro a few times before a green emerged, long and sinuous, an air of danger about her. The quiet blue looked up at that and bugled to his sister, though the tone was mildly worried.

Roeline was glad to see the excitable blue find His, but her attention was drawn back to the eggs when yet another green hatched. Yet something seemed almost... off? Why did the other blue sound worried? There shouldn't be anything to be worried about when he just had another sister hatch, right? Blue eyes traveled back and forth between the two dragonets, waiting to see what would happen.

Ailin propped himself back onto his elbows, slowly crawling to his feet as Solath found His and the Eye of the Storm revealed a snake-like green. The curly hairs on the back of his neck stood up at the sight. Hopefully like the other greens she would make her way towards the girls. After his encounter with the exuberant blue he really didn't want to meet a hatchling with a bad temper.
.....................
Courath lifted her head from Dizzian's lap as her sister was hatched. She made no judgement but only watched her sister. Dizzian followed her gaze, wondering what her little lifemate was thinking. The green's mind was quiet to her prodding. She still giggled as she noticed the havok a blue had caused among the boys, watching as another unimpressed tended after those knocked down or otherwise harrassed.

...that did not bode well. The air about the green was worrisome, and Nawa found herself inching back a little. That was one green she definitely hoped would not come over. Please, please don't come this way. She didn't need more scars from hatchling-claws!

Selene looked back to the eggs as the Eye-of-the-Storm Egg broke open revealing yet another green. This green seemed to be a bit more aggressive than the others. She touched her fingers against the bracelet her mother gave her and waited.

"Just a roll, really," E'lai admitted to S'ren. "I'm sure everyone will be stampeding the kitchens after, but we could try and see if we could have some luck getting a proper breakfast after all the excitement."
"Grab and go meatrolls, maybe - fashion a bit of a picnic, hmm?" Lena suggested, fully intending to invite herself along if they hadn't expected her to come already. Aww, the blue seemed surprised he'd run straight into His. Still quite cute! The air on the Sands seemed to change a bit with the hatching of the next green. Suddenly everyone seemed rather tense, and the quiet blue was worried? Well...this should be interesting.

If S'ren hadn't expected her along then he certainly wouldn't have asked both of them whether or they had eaten breakfast yet. "Grab and go type of food might be a good idea," he agreed, figuring like E'lai that the place would be packed once the Hatching was over. Now whether he could grab enough to satisfy him and ruby both was another question altogether; the crimson filt was a surprisingly voracious eater. "Picnic out by the lake then, or would it be better to head back to our weyr for a bit more privacy?" 'Our' being him and Tereth, of course.

Akaya nodded to S'koi. "Sleeth would no doubt enjoy the company." And one day, perhaps he might be taught volume modulation. Maybe...? "And sort of - she didn't knock anyone over, but she chirped and ran circles around me," Akaya said, with a fond nostalgic smile. "She wanted to sing with me." And sing they most certainly had, and would continue to. "And Laith? Did she Impress you so steathily almost no one noticed?" she teased. No fear of that happening for the loud blue, who seemed quite enthusiastic to find his. That new green...Akaya was reminded uncomfortably of Laith, actually. Laith when she'd half thought the dragon might come after her. Oh, she hoped the Candidates would be all right...

Freniar rushed out at the call. The eggs were starting to hatch, the walls hummed with the dragons call. Pulling his robe on, he made sure that everything was where it should be. Standing on the Sands with the rest of the Candidates. It was his third turn on the sands and he was ready for anything.
As the eggs hatched, he felt a thrill at each Impression. His face was surprised at each hatchling color. So many blues and greens. While he was smiling as the blue came giggling out of his shell, Freniar was taken by the antics. Before he knew it... The blue ran into him. Freniarmine? Your Solath has found you! Feed me! The intense feeling of not being alone overwhelmed him. He didn't think..Mine, feed me! Solath nudged him towards the table where his brother and sisters were with Theirs. Freniar needed no more than the first nudge. "Alright. Lets go join the rest of them."

With each hatchling that Impressed, Narisa felt herself relaxing and worrying less and less. She wasn't quite as tense anymore, though there was still an understandable wariness that lurked within. Cepheith kept informing her there was no need for any of her worrisome thoughts, easily getting distracted by the playful and loud hatchlings. It was almost impossible for Narisa not to smile as she watched them all, hand still absently running along Cepheith's snout.
The gold snorted softly as the feisty green Impressed Hers. She shall be a handful, but together a strong pair. She remarked, head tilting ever so slightly so her rider's hand hit juuust the right spot. The tip of her tail flicked back and forth like a feline's, a sign of her contentment.
Hearing a croon directed her way, Cepheith's attention was pulled away from the newly hatched momentarily. She rumbled towards Pipith, sending a feeling of warm affection for his greeting.
Narisa just dragged her hand down her face in amusement, shaking her head at her dragon. "If you could save your flirting until after the Hatching~"
With another snort - and just to get back at her rider - Cepheith made sure to add in a croon and that same warm feeling towards Plexith and Scarath. However the loud bugle of a hatchling successfully snatched both Cepheith and Narisa's attention. They are very playful. The gold noted dryly.
"Like someone else I know." Narisa muttered, unable to keep from laughing behind her hand as one of the blues tackled a boy. Hopefully no injuries came from that playful gesture. Though a few cuts and bruises wouldn't do any damage to the Candidates. Which she was pretty sure several of the boys were going to have, thanks to the young blue. Narisa was very pleased when he found his person. Of course that brief moment of positivity crumbled a little as another green hatched.
Another one that I believe will be a handful. Cepheith mused, blue-green eyes regarding the green.
