Because Matthew was walking away, he didn't hear what the two were saying, but he could make out a nervous tone from the lady. She obviously didn't want to spend time with Faust, either, and he didn't blame her. He blamed himself, however, for not helping her from this situation. If he had known that she wanted out, he would have pretended to.. be her brother, or something! Something to get her out of it! But he didn't, and she was stuck. As much as he hated to say it, better her than him. After all, what if the doctor tried to use him as some kind of -
And that's when he heard a bang.
Like the nearby people walking around, Matthew stopped dead in his tracks and turned to see where the noise came from. There he found some small machine on the ground, sparking with dying electricity, and Faust muttering something while touching Angela's head. "Hey!" Matthew called out before realizing what he was doing. "What are you doing? Get off her!" What is he doing? What am I doing? he told himself, though his legs ignored him and carried him towards the duo he had been around moments earlier.

Angela was not expecting to be touched by Faust and flinched away from him when he reached for her. The moment his skin made contact with hers, she felt a wave of emotions wash over her--his, of course. What had been merely background noise, quickly became overwhelming. But what made it worse was behind the tide of emotion, she felt the invasive presence of his thoughts inside her, silencing her magic and putting it back to sleep.

Angela jerked away from him in shock and revulsion at having been violated like that. She reeled back, clinging to the rail as it felt like her entire world slipped away from her. For one overwhelming second, she entirely lost track of what emotions were hers and which were his. All she wanted was to put distance between them but even as the influence of his mind receded, she felt several tendrils of her psyche latch on and intertwine with his, creating the sickening pull of a psychic link between them. She tried to sever it before they became completely tangled, but it was too late.

She reoriented herself and shot Faust a glare, barely even hearing Matthew's returning footsteps. "You b*****d!" she spat. "I don't need your help you self absorbed a**!" Assuming he was trying to help at all--and didn't have some nasty ulterior motive. This is why she hated doctors! Then again, he was just a doctor. And she was the battle and combat instructor...

Angela's magic awoke once more; this time, though, the feeling was sluggish--like awakening suddenly from a long nap. Still, a faint electrical current crackled to life around her shoulders, glancing down her arms and leaving blue sparks in its wake. She felt the flesh on her back tear slightly as her wings tried to make an appearance, but she ignored that for the time being. Instead, she launched herself at Faust, hitting him in the middle of his torso to drag him down, while aiming her right fist for his jaw. She was just going to pound him into a greasy spot right here and be done with it.

And then she was going to beat her own head against a wall until the feel of him being inside her mind was gone. Angela grabbed him by his collar and yanked him closer. "The next time you enter my mind for any reason I will tear your head off and use it as a decoration for my balcony."

How dare he just--just...enter her head and manipulate her like that!? Why did every creepy b*****d that called himself a doctor feel it was his God given right to do whatever the hell he wanted, to whomever the hell he wanted!? Her head was pounding, her back felt like someone had dragged knives over it and her heart felt like it was going to burst.

This is why she should just never leave her damn house.

xxxxxx You can't bring back the dead?
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx What nonsense is that!?

Salvation was already out of hand
for both soul and body of mine.

A fair payment for the power I had acquire.
Yet not enough to acquire what I wanted.

Faust didn't expected any aftereffect from the help he gave Angela. No, it was quite expected there would be since he still doesn't know what kind of abilities she holds. He held at the railings for support as some kind of link was formed between him and Angela. A link that felt like connecting their minds. Faust did his best to isolate his insanity that awoke with the link being made.

Don't come out! Don't come out! Don't come out! Stay inside! Stay inside! Stay inside damn it! Faust thought to himself repeatedly as his madness, like Angela's magic, wanted out. Anyway, while he does, the doctor continued to smile and look at Angela yet it was noticeable that his mind was at some far away place. The steps and words of the student was audiable to Faust yet chose to ignore it. He has already big problems in hand than he didn't had the time to explain to Matthew what he did. The madness was breaking out little by little yet Faust continued to push it back.

He also ignored the words of Angela and just concentrated on dominating his insanity. And before he knew it, Faust felt a jab at his torso, knocking the air out of him and also jolting his body with electricity. Then, Angela just had to follow it with a uppercut, knocking him down on the ground and like the first punch, had a jolt of electricity at contact. Because of the hits he had received from white-haired belle, the black-clad man lost concentration of keeping his madness at bay and in that single moment. His insanity took over his mind and as it did, his dark self also did.

A madden laughter burst from Faust as his collar was being held onto by Angela. A laugh so twisted and malevolent that it felt it wasn't from a human. The lunatic doctor slowly removed the hands at his collar with his and stood defiantly in front of the two, licking the blood off his lips due to the uppercut and spit it out. He beamed a twisted, insane smile at Angela and Matthew, a smile that differs from the ones he just made before. "Ah~ That feels better~ Now then..." Faust said to them, producing a sotoba. He removed the magic coating he had apply on the wooden strip, turning it into a scythe. The scythe is silver. It has a skull connecting the blade to the wooden handle, which is wrapped in silver wires, like the bottom of the handle. "I appreciate the offer but I'll have to decline it. I prefer if my head is used in a different way." The lunatic said, playing with the scythe in hand, circling around Matthew and Angela.

"At any rate, will the two of you be my new specimens for my research~? Oh, don't worry, I have a laboratory somewhere in the city where I'll tear you two up piece by piece, studying every organ and nook of your bodies and while invading your minds~! Will have a blast~! Gefufufuufufufufufufufu~!" The lunatic doctor announced calmly at first but as he continued to speak, his face was slowly showing signs of insanity and darkness. A visage that showed so much delight from seeing people being tortured and more when he does it.

Forgive me for whatever I done~
I'm not in the right mind right now~
It's alright if you don't believe my insanity as long as you forgiven me~

Wh-What... What happened? Before Matthew could figure anything out, Angela pounced on Faust, a-and then Faust got out a scythe! He found himself watching the grinning scythe-weilder warily, his entire being beginning to shake with fear at the mention of being an experiment. "Th-The school won't let you do that to us!" he protested, trying to sound as tough as possible but only to end up sounded as weak and feeble as he felt.
Think, Matthew, think! There had to be something he could do! He just couldn't let this guy chop him up! ...Wait! Silently praying for either his idea to work or for someone to come to the rescue, Matthew took the giant book of fairytales into his own hands and opened it up, sciming through the pages to find something useful to him. "H-Hey," he whispered to Angela, a nervous look on his face. "I-If you can't fight him off again, can you at least keep him from killing m-me?"

Angela held an arm out protectively in front of Matthew. "Don't worry. I don't intend to let him harm either of us," she said quietly, keeping an eye on Faust. She glanced at Matthew and gave him a weak smile. "It would be pretty shameful if a teacher allowed one of her students to be hurt, yeah?"

The change that came over Faust, at the very least, was distinctive enough from his original appearance and personality that how he had first come across didn't seem so bad any more. Unfortunately, he didn't make her dislike him any less. She'd met his kind before and felt no sympathy for whatever demons he was clearly battling. "Just stay close to me. I'll ensure he can't even get close to us without finding out just how good a conductor that scythe of his is."

"I'm sure I can come up with plenty of other uses for your head," Angela told Faust, bracing herself for what was about to come next. "Football, basket ball, chamber pot..." She took a breath and, finally, let her magic bound out playfully--well, that isn't what really happened. At least, that isn't what it would look like to anyone else, at any rate. Even though, to her, her magic had a will of its own and she could make out the vague shape of what seemed like a large animal, to anyone else, she supposed nothing so dramatic happened. Still, the amount of electricity in the air rose dramatically and even Angela could feel the hair on the back of her neck and arms stand up. The smell of ozone lay thick in the air as the crackling from the heavy electric current circling the group grew louder.

But, of course, being Fae, she couldn't use her magic without being at least a little flashy. Oh no. Definitely not. And this was definitely the part she hated most--as her magic reached its peak, the skin on her back ripped and the bones crunched and ground together painfully as two partially feathered, transparent wings tore their way free. She felt blood dripping down, and torn fabric flapping against her shredded back but managed, by some miracle, to keep her expression steady. Yeah. Nothing was more intimidating than a short woman not even flinching as half her back ripped itself off to make room for fancy faerie wings. Right. She'd keep telling herself that, anyway.

She wondered, briefly, if letting loose was really a good idea but then again, if he was going to go all super-scary-scythe man on them, she figured it didn't hurt to bring in an intimidation factor of her own. At the very least, maybe he would back down quickly if he realized she and Matthew weren't easy prey. Besides, she didn't have either of her guns with her and without them, controlling this mess was going to be a problem if she didn't just go all out. She didn't have energy to waste on keeping everything in check. And anyway, Matthew looked kind of scared so she felt that even if he wasn't that much younger than she was, it was her duty to go fully mother-bear mode on his behalf. Hopefully he was grateful and not just terrified of her after this.

Dammit...I really liked this shirt, too, she lamented silently. It was probably beyond repair now.

She huffed quietly, bracing for more pain as she flung herself at Faust again, this time aiming a foot for the side of his head. Fighting was her specialty and, as intimidating as he looked--she was really hoping it wasn't his. Because she didn't know how long she could keep this up. Lightning swirled around her heel as it made contact with Faust and, as she recovered from the kick, she sent a streak of lightning straight toward him; not enough to kill him. As much as she already loathed this man, killing wasn't her thing and, really, who wanted to kill one of their colleagues before they'd even started their new job? That was just not the way to make a good impression. She just hoped he was still as susceptible to high voltage as any other...Human. Not that he appeared to be one...

The insane doctor gazed at the youth due to his words. A shrill laughter came from Faust and said, "Yes, the school won't let me... thought, who would know? There are plenty of ways to make you two disappear like smoke~" Yes, this mad black-clad man knew ways to make someone disappear without any traces nor anything that would lead to himself.

At any rate, the show Angela gave Faust made him just laugh at the new specimen he'll be studying. While the femme was displaying her magic, Faust on the other hand did the same. A silhouette of a gigantic door appear behind him. The door, even thought it was only a silhouette, one can tell it had grotesque designs to it. The door opened slightly and as it did. Behind Faust, skeletal parts manifested. Skulls, arms and other whatnot and these bones weren't that from humans but to some dangerous monster. These bones moved in a vicious manner like they'll rip apart anything that comes into range.

The smell of blood made Faust grin widen more. He knew the smell of blood like how he always take sniffs of flowers. Because, he had participated in few surgeries and also because he had studied which had something to do with blood. That Faust grew accustomed to the smell of blood. The lunatic doctor took his stance and the skeletal appendices behind him grew restless.

However, as scary and dangerous looking Faust was then, it didn't changed the fact that he had a weak physique and that he was in a disadvantage when it comes to fights. Even more in a disadvantage because he was fighting the battle strategy and combat instructor who's a veteran when it comes to fights. And before he could react, Faust received a kick at the side of his head that flung him to his side and it stings as hell due to the shock. However, due to the appendages, Faust didn't fell to the ground.

Faust then lunged towards Angela, his scythe hung overhead and ready to slice the femme in half however. One of the skeletal appendages grasped on the blade of the weapon then two strangled the madman and four tried to subdue him to the ground. Of course, this wasn't because Faust had lost control of the spell he used to summon and control the skeletal limbs nor the spell had backfired against him which was common in the art of black magic. But his other self, the original Faust, was waiting for a moment for his insane self to make a opening which was had happened thank to the attack of Angela. On the stone ground, "Fool! Don't interfere! With them, you might able to achieve what you want! Let me go! Damn it! No! No!" Faust hysterically said not to Matthew, not to Angela but to the other Faust. Too bad but I've already saw my limits. And as how tempting your offer is, I'll decline as I still have a duty as the school doctor~ And with that, Faust let out agonizing scream as he felt his head being skewered repeatedly. His shriek bit by bit faded into silence as the normal Faust had taken control again, burying this insane self deep into his subconsciousness.

The skeletal appendages slowly turned to dust as the silhouette of the gigantic door disappeared. Using his scythe, Faust weakly stood up. Cold sweat ran all over his pale and scarred visage. A sigh of relieve came from him and leaned his back at the railings. "Sorry about that.... I'll admit that I have a screw loose or two. Anyway, nobody got hurt due to my other side?" He stated, breathing heavily. It took quite a lot from Faust to forcefully take control again.

Matthew had been reading a line of his book, cursing himself for getting trapped in the literature's spell, when a flare of what seemed like electricity sparked from his peripheral vision. Curious, the bookworm looked up just in time to see large wings protrude from Angela's back. Instantly he gasped and jumped back, nearly dropping his book into the sea. W-What...?! How...?! The wings were majestic, and were he not in the predicament he currently was in, Matthew would have loved to look at them more. But at the moment he found himself trying to calm down his gasps of surprise, unsettled by the designs on the wings that almost resembled an intimidating face.
And then there came Faust, and he certainly didn't help calm Matthew's worries. Tensing at the sound of that insane laugh, Matthew slowly looked up and paled when he saw a giant, darkened door behind the grinning scythe-wielder. His eyes widened in fright as he saw skeletons claw their way around the man, who muttered angrily to himself while trying to slam the scythe down on Angela. The student couldn't believe what he was seeing, it was as if the magic he's read about in so many books had taken on a life of its own! He wasn't sure how it was possible, nor did he want to know how it worked.
Faust suddenly screamed, making Matthew jump again. By the time he recovered from his fright, the crazed scythe-wielder had calmed down considerably. He looked and sounded exhausted, but he seemed to have gotten his mind back together. Matthew was hesitant to respond to the apology given to him, but even if it was a trap, it wouldn't change the outcome.
"Umm.... I.... I guess it's fine." he mumbled, his voice high-pitched from lingering terror. "S-So that was, er-hmm, your... other side?"

Angela saw Faust aiming that ridiculous scythe at her and gauged the direction of his swing so she could dart under it for another close range attack. She didn't know what sort of idiot he was to use such a slow, unwieldy weapon but at least it was beneficial to her. Anyone with a brain could predict where a scythe would swing through, and dodge it--and with a weapon that heavy, changing momentum to switch directions wasn't going to be easy. She would have more than enough time to pop in close range and give him a high voltage kidney punch.

She didn't get the chance though, when Faust was dragged down screaming, in a rather typically melodramatic way. Angela paused, raising an eyebrow. She felt a familiar twinge in her chest and as Faust got back to his feet, she hit the ground, barely catching herself with one hand. Her other was clutching at her chest, pressed against the vertical scar that ran down her breastbone. s**t...not now.

She held herself up on one shaking arm, glaring at Faust through narrowed eyes as he casually apologized. As her magic curled up, drooping with sleep again, Angela felt the sickening sensation of crunching bones as her wings folded and retracted with a painful squelch that nearly sent her face first into the dock. Her chest was burning and throbbing now, as if her heart was threatening to claw its way free--or just burst.

But Angela, not ready to give up or let her guard down when that idiot still had a weapon, dragged herself back to her feet. If she had to continue to defend Matthew, she would force her stupid body to keep moving until her bloody arms fell off if she had to.

"It's bloody well not alright!" she snapped. "You're going to have more than 'a screw loose' if you ever threaten me or one of the students again. I recommend you find a way to keep that 'other side' suppressed--and that you never touch me again. Ever." Still holding her chest, and leaning heavily against the railing, she glanced over at Matthew. "Are you alright?"

The doctor could only nod at the question of Matthew. He didn't had much of strength or wasn't slightly still at the right mind to give a brief explanation. Faust produced a lollipop out of his pocket. Removing it's wrapper, he placed the candy in his mouth. The taste of strawberry filled his taste buds. Sweets helps calm him down more and a little balm for the soul.

Albeit, exhausted from forcibly getting himself back in control, Faust was still able to perceive or more of a hypothesis mixed with a gut feeling that Angela was having a problem with her heart. Seeing how she clutched her chest and how weak she was. Thought, the latter maybe the side-effect of using her magic but he doesn't know whether this was right or wrong.

The black-clad man clad his scythe with a magic spell, turning it back into a simple wooden strip and hid it back into his coat. The words of Angela made Faust flinched and struck deep. A small grin curled his lips yet a sorrowful grin. "You think I don't know about that?" He asked the femme in a rhetorical manner. "For eight grueling and hellish years I've been trying and trying to find away to eradicate this other side of mine! But even going through all psychological books and consultants who are the best of the best, even going as far as finding the cure this side of mine in the realm of magic. Even I can't find the answer to my problems!" This was the first time after a long time Faust had shouted and losing his composure.

"Wait.... I found the cure.... but I lost it...." He added yet in a small murmur to himself. And this cure was his late wife. Faust felt his madness was at the weakest while with his wife and he didn't knew why. There wasn't any scientific answer yet he didn't care. At any rate, continuing to lean on the railings, Faust started at the Angela yet one could see he wasn't staring at her but some far off place because of the blank visage he portray. He shook his head and moved to Angela in a slow and sluggish manner. "At any rate, loathe me for I care. It won't stop me from helping you out for it's my duty as a doctor." Faust stated. "We need to go to the infirmary of the Academy, my home or the hospital so I can dress your wounded back. But also do something about your heart."

Concern flashed across Matthew's face when he saw the pained expression on Angela's face and how she clutched her chest. Did Faust strike her while he wasn't looking? Did something he couldn't possibly fathom happen?
He only nodded dumbly at her question at him, wondering how in the world she could worry about him when she looked like she was in so much pain. He was about to redirect her question back at her when the doctor walked over to her and observed her wounds. Hearing the request to go to the academy or one of their homes, Matthew pursed his lips. He didn't trust the doctor with taking care of Angela, especially not alone, but if he tagged along, he would only be dead weight. That fact alone was disheartening, especially since the academy was supposedly filled with magical creatures. Demons, fairies, nekos... And a lowly human that liked to read. He couldn't even do anything in the fight! All he did was quake in fear and read his fairytales for comfort. Well... No, he at least tried to find someway to help with his small ability, but he should have known that he'd be too slow for that.
It's an academy, right? he thought to himself as he stared off at the sky distantly. There's got to be a teacher that'll help me; or maybe a library I can hide in. The squawk of a seagull waking him up from his thoughts, Matthew looked back at the two, still unsure of what to do with them, but sure that he wouldn't drag them down. "I, umm... I'll be heading back now." he said with a light nod of his head as he started off for the small building at a far distance. "Sorry for bothering you."

"Don't come near me," Angela snapped, dragging herself away from Faust. "Just...don't come near me." It wasn't just that she didnt' want him touching her because he was a creepy b*****d and she didn't trust him as far as she could spit a rat, but even if she wasn't feeling that he was going to do anything suspicious again, she didn't want to feel his mind intruding into hers. And even if he just touched her, it was inevitable now.

"My heart is none of your concern--it's not something you can fix and I don't want you to touch me again." She looked at Matthew as he sort of apologized and shambled away. She wanted to call out to him to wait, but was torn. On one hand, it was safer for him to leave. On the other, she wanted him help her get away too.

Later, she would have to check on him, at least, to make sure he was alright. For now, she straightened herself, her back screaming in agony. Steeling herself against the pain, she grabbed the bag she had dropped and shouldered it, starting to slowly walk away (though she was using the railing with support.) "There is no way in hell I am going to your home you b*****d," she told him. "And I hate hospitals. Doctors think they can solve every problem, but you don't know anything and you can't help me." She wondered if she should follow Matthew to make sure he got where he was going.

He seemed like a sweet kid and she didn't want Dr. Creepy to get his hands on him. Then again...maybe she should just go home before she collapsed in the street.

xxxxxx You can't bring back the dead?
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx What nonsense is that!?

Salvation was already out of hand
for both soul and body of mine.

A fair payment for the power I had acquire.
Yet not enough to acquire what I wanted.

Faust didn't retorted back at Angela. Seeing it was hopeless to do so. Specially with the likes of Angela. The doctor knew about those types of people and were hard to deal with. Noticing Matthew going away, his figure fading away bit by bit, Faust didn't called the student back but rather let him be. He had other matters to attend to. Like tending Angela.

The white-haired belle that slowly moved away, grabbing at the railings for support, Faust paced hastily to the side of Angela then overtake her (after picking up his top hand and donning his head with it). "We doctors can't solve all problem there is. I know that. I know that for such a long time already. However, don't say such things as you're beyond help." The doctor said to her, holding her shoulders tightly yet gently while he was few centimeters away from Angela. Faust always knew doctors weren't miracle workers and were just humans. Yes, he knew this truth and this truth was always bite him back like with his surrogate sister and with his late wife.

Feeling Angela stopped her retaliation, Solomon's Door's silhouette appeared once more behind the black-clad man. The door opening slightly and from it, a skeleton appeared and the door disappeared once more. With the help of the skeleton, Faust dragged Angela to his car then drove to his house seeing it was closer than the hospital.

Forgive me for whatever I done~
I'm not in the right mind right now~
It's alright if you don't believe my insanity as long as you forgiven me~

Angela was not making good time--it wasn't her fault, though. She was in pain and was moving as fast as she could. "Don't touch me--you don't understand anything about me!" Angela snapped, trying to slap Faust's hands away. "I didn't say I was beyond help. I said--I said..." She trailed off, trying to keep her train of thought. Stupid...man. He was grabbing her shoulders and even with only that much physical contact, she couldn't keep track of her thoughts.

His emotions were reverberating through her head, bouncing around until she lost track of which part of what she was feeling was Faust, and which part was herself. "I said...that you're not capable...of helping..." she managed, her words slurring slightly as the trailed of. She felt like she was drowning in remorse and crippling loneliness, and she wanted to help him--she had a duty to help him. She...no!

No. That was Faust, not her. Dammit! She was...losing track of it again. Without realizing, Angela completely stopped struggling and let herself be placed in a car and driven off.

((abducted again. LoL. she always gets abducted. Awesome--I didn't know if you were going to post Matthew again or not since it said he left...so I posted as Angela. But I figured he could still see them/follow or whatever, if you were wanting him to.))

Meeeeeh, I'm not too sure. Matt doesn't have much power, and he doesn't have a clue where they're going. I'll just post him somewhere in the school.

"People are like a deck of cards. We are all different, and we come together to make all sorts of combinations."

The plane of cards flew across the sky, seagulls with it, and landed near the boat rental shack. Sliding off the plane was a man with dark brown hair and a card dealer's uniform on. He sniffed the sea-scented air and smiled dreamily. After unscrewing the lid of his Coca-Cola, the man took a swift drink then turned and held his hand out for the boy to take. "Here we are," he said with his usual smile. "The docks, just like you said."

"As for me... I am the dealer of this deck of cards called 'Life'."
