It wasn't acceptable, none of it was acceptable. It wasn't acceptable that Luke had gotten mugged in the first place, or that Emil had been kidnapped, or that the man died. Sure the police could have gotten involved, but Yuri had certain feelings about that. He didn't trust the authorities, and they might not have stopped them anyway. That's why Yuri always took matters into his own hands. If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.
Yuri was getting tired of talking though. "That wound wasn't enough to kill him," Yuri lied. Or at least it wasn't right away. "That's why I finished him off."
Repede looked up at that, from where he lay on his bed.

He... couldn't really believe that. The image of his sword impaled in the man's side wasn't one that would leave him easily, and he couldn't imagine anyone living from it. At the same time, Yuri's words, true or not, offered an escape. Did he have the right to that escape, though? Whether or not he dealt the final blow, or even a mortal wound, he had stabbed someone. That was a fact, and unless he woke up soon, it was something he would have to live with knowing. Even if he chose to escape the room, he was still trapped in the labyrinth.
He should have just not gotten up that morning, slept in until noon and lazed around all day. The very idea of it sounded all but foreign to him now.
He moved his mouth as if to speak but abandoned the effort, locking his gaze absently on the table.

Yuri wasn't sure if Luke would buy that or not, but it seemed to make the kid calm down, and that was enough for him. He didn't mind taking the heat, this time at least, if it put Luke's mind at ease. That kid didn't need to find himself with the same kind of problems that Yuri did. Luke wasn't cut out for it. Damn, he was just full of charity today wasn't he?
"Go lie down or something. You're looking kinda pale."
He sure as heck didn't want to drag Luke's a** back to the hospital again. Plus some rest would probably help the boy to ease his mind. A lot had happened today.

He made a vague sound of consent; under normal circumstances he would have undoubtedly insisted he was fine and argued against it, but even Luke had his limits. He rose unsteadily from the chair, lingering momentarily to balance himself before proceeding the the offered bed. He wasn't especially fond of the idea of using someone else's bed, especially considering Yuri wasn't in perfect condition himself, but he reconciled it with the resolution to only rest for a couple hours.
What he didn't plan on was nearly immediately passing out well and thoroughly upon achieving any degree of relaxation. Exhausted physically and emotionally, he wouldn't wake for far longer than he had intended.
