Once she had recovered from her trip she felt the sharpness of pain swell over her and she growled loudly, turning a hateful glare towards her attacker. For a moment she looked between the two hunters with careful calculation. Then she went there. Snarling as she hit Fallow she flared up, her fur standing on end and teeth gnashing wildly.
"FALLOW!" The sound was guttural, but loud and she ran for her, diving straight into her with a hand out, clawing at her wildly. No one attacked her friends, no one, and she would fight to keep them safe. Like Fallow often said, they were his and so to they were hers, to fight for. To protect.
Deep in the reaches of her mind was the thought she could be too late, was Fallow going to be alright? If he fell there would be no quarter for his attackers, that was for sure. If there was one thing Ami could do, it was cover his a** once all was said and done. Ami noticed that once someone used a charged attack, the shadows tended to swarm in droves. So that's exactly what she did. Defend him. When Leon moved, so did Shehk - but Leon was quicker than the Pricolici was, and Niddhog's attack earned him a rather high shriek of pain from the wolf-like student. It really was difficult to pull away from an unrelenting attack of that variety, and when she did, she looked like a giant mess.
However, there was still enough bite left in her to snarl and snap her teeth.--------------- OOC:Character Name: Shehk - Silver wolf with a skeletal snout and a few exposed vertebrae on her upper back. Moon division, for a group that didn't show off their leader, they sure were an active bunch. The attack with Nid had Leon a bit fatigued but the blonde ponytail of ami was eagerly taking up residence in front of his stunned form. Unafraid and ready. He was impressed. "Way to go, if only i could give your leader my recommendation for a job well done." he said honestly as he gave the girl a grin and a pat on the back. In his book she was a fine moon hunter trainee. However he swiveled around to the beast that still refused to go down, and had the energy and willpower to bare her fangs. The puppy kept trying to bite at him, but Robert pulled himself just out range every time the jaws came snapping down. "D'awwww. There used to be a dog out in the farm I lived on when I was a boy. It went rabid. So I shot it." Robert rose up his weapon, holding it like a rifle, and aiming it at Dev. Of course, his weapon wasn't a gun, so instead of actually shooting, he just made a 'BANG' sound, and laughed as if he'd just told the funniest joke in the world. Three seconds later, his laughter turned into a choke when a giant dragon's tail swept him off his feet and onto his back again. Once he was down, that horse boy got a nice, clean shot on him, and he groaned from the impact. Robert reached up to punch the guy away, before trying to stand again. "God damn I hate you kids." The man seethed violently. "One day, we're gonna exterminate you off the face of this earth." The look on Michael's face when he realized the voice was coming from inside of his head was priceless. Riley let out a single, breathy chuckle, and closed in on him, ready to strike. She couldn't hear his weapon (which was a shame, really) - but what she could hear was the crackling of electricity that his baton generated. One touch, and she was rigid as it went through her, her tentacles lashing out helplessly behind her. She pushed herself away from him, taking a minute on one knee to get her breath back, when she heard a soft thud behind her.
At her side, Leon had just chainsawed Shehk until she was lying, unmoving, on the ground right beside Riley's feet. Her eyes widened at the sight, slowly turning up to stare at the culprit with a burning, seething hatred.
The mindflayer then grew three times her size and turned red. TRANQ SHOT NOW!
With a high pitched scree, Riley abandoned Michael and flung herself at Leon, tentacles ready to plunge into any orifice they could find - or make new ones.(( OOC: Character Name: Riley HP: 38 Target: Leon Damage: 2 Room HP: 227Effect: N/A Number of People Currently Attacking Me: 1/3 Attacks left: 3/6 )) [ X_Bleeding Roses_X ] You are free to take your turn! Shehk was rather good at playing dead - depressingly so, actually. Another roar of the chainsaw and the Pricolici went down, splaying out across the floor, a trail of blood seeping from the wound that came along with the cracking of her FEAR shield.
She didn't even breathe as she laid there, down for the count (or until dissipation did they part)

It didn't take long for Amrita to figure out what was going on; the battles with the suspiciously white coats spoke volumes. Her attention had shifted towards Aymet for only a moment, just long enough to ensure that he was okay, and then she went right down to business; finding a target, and taking it.
Her plan was made slightly easier as she noticed someone defending their comrade; it was a touching gesture, but at the same time that just wouldn't do. See, they needed to take him down right now, so that meant the defender had to go too. The Patchwork-Vetala's grey eye narrowed, her lips curling into a pleased smile as she zeroed in on her target, making a beeline for the ghoul and swinging a backwards fist at her, feeling the overly satisfying pressure of a connected hit.
She noticed a little too late that Shehk was down; THAT wasn't good, either! Oh jack, oh jack! She was already in the process of her attack on the Hunter, but that didn't stop her from uttering a strained; "Calder, help her!"

Dev nearly screamed again when a red-haired woman decided to attack Fallow too. She snapped her jaws at Clerise threateningly. “Stop it!” She settled down somewhat when the tall man began to speak. Her ears twitched impatiently as she followed every word. She thrashed around when the anecdote finished. “If Ah was ‘at dug Ah woold’ve eaten ye a lang time ago!” she barked. Why did they keep hitting Fallow?! Fallow was part of her pack, Jackdammit!
She ran forward and pounced on Robert, growling in his ear, “Ah’d loch tae see ye try.”

The rabbit was of nightmares, and Sherry was making herself ready to attack again, when she was kicked. Turning, she saw another monster...a doll. A large, moving doll whose face was cracked. Sherry suddenly understood how some people could be afraid of dolls. Sherry twisted her glaive and brought it down in retaliation for the kick. Her blade seemed to barely scrape the doll, but it was something. The Púca was all but ready to charge Robert again until that man's nose broke in two, but of course, fate -- or maybe Clerise, he wasn't sure - had other plans. Howling when the daggers sunk into his flesh, Fallow ripped himself away and hissed at her, the low and guttural sound of a cornered predator. "Hello to you too! That was not very nice!" He said waspishly, keening again and fidgeting when his fingers found deep gouges in his flesh. Oh, that really, really hurt. Turning his head right and towards Mea, Fallow weezed and rumbled a thank you, trying to find words instead of relying on the instinct to drive him through.
After all, pain could come later! Right, yes, he needed to --
THAT JACKDAMNED MAMMOTH.
Staggering back from Robert's impact, Fallow growled and snapped his teeth, his skin beginning to mold into his natural form as soon as he'd thrown away the pin. It felt much better like this! Yes, he was much taller and -- oh, those wounds really did hurt. The stallion reared his head and lifted himself onto his hind legs, dark skin and bright glowing eyes and anger and pain fueling his movement.
"Oh, that is a very mean thing to say! And you can keep saying that if it would please you much, sir,," He rumbled in an inhuman tone, keening to the other as he landed back on all four hooves, "but you are just one man, and you are all just tiny little bugs." He pawed the ground in anticipation, prancing from side to side and swishing his tail in haughtiness and nervous excitement and agony all at once. "You might get somewhere, but we will always exist." Swishing his tail as though a thousand invisible flies were plaguing him, Fallow twisted his muzzle and looked upwards at the dragon that had attacked as well.
"Thank you," He said in his inhuman tone, "but you may want to try that again! He is not quite dead yet down here!"
With that, the Púca tossed his head and charged at Robert again, hooves and all with the last of his strength.
Which didn't really work.

The beast was dispatched, the wolf hound lay on the floor, her trick of playing dead has been mastered. But in the depths rose and even greater power. A power that made the hair on Leon's arms stand on end as a horrible cry filled his mind. it wasn't nid whining about being hungry. The scream was enraged, and demanding of bloodshed. The scream of the tentacle monster. "Dead gods above, what in the blue hell is this?!" he screamed out in alarm as the beast fell upon him with tentacles at the ready, trying to rip him open and destroy him from the inside was the only way he could describe the sensation.

Aymet heard Amrita yelling over the general bashing and clashing of bodies and weapons, and turned his skeletal head her way. He didn't have the means to help Shehk - but he did have the means to help Amrita. He didn't know who'd struck first, but either way a hunter was a hunter and there was nothing wrong with less hunters right now. The dragolich stomped its way over the vines and attempted a simple, effective headbutt - with a head many times the hunter's size. The scent of his FEAR was intoxicating. Riley almost stumbled, feeling the bite of Leon's chainsaw even as she slashed and impaled away, but that feeling, that heady, intoxicating feeling..
Riley backed away from the chainsaw and took a moment to catch her breath, trying not to drown in how delicious his FEAR tasted. She glared up at him through heavily lidded eyes, and growled like an animal preparing to strike.
If by some miracle, you live through this, human.. Her voice was dripping with contempt, and desire all at once. Her tentacles snapped around him, wrapping around his arms, his legs, and tight around his neck. She pulled him close, choking him. Her voice was a quiet hiss, an intimate whisper. I hope I star in your nightmares.
