The war clansmember made sure there was absolutely noone else around before she flew up towards the tip of the observation point with only a few strokes of her wings.
Inside, she looked around. Where was it? She was pretty sure she had accidentally dropped the barrier room key here, but where did it go? After five minutes of frantic searching she sighed: it was probably somewhere else, it was best not to alarm her chieftains.
Just to assuage her fears, she checked the small alcove jutting out from the observation tower, a reverse spiral engraving on its wooden door. It was closed. At least noone had gotten in. The War warrior took off in a flurry of feathers. OOC: AT THE TIP OF THE OBSERVATION POINT - Mechanics still work as normal, you can only roll 2 times a day, HOWEVER: - Anyone who arrives at the tip of the observation point ( 81 - 100 roll) may stumble upon a key. There is only one, so the first person who arrives here may do so @ finding the key. If they do, they are free to examine it. It has a strange reverse spiral shape engraved into it: and if the students were paying any attention, a closed-off door right at the entrance of the observation point also had the same shape, coincidentally also complete with a lock. Perhaps.....

The observation point was a pretty nice spot to relax. And so, Shun decided to try and make his way back up there to gaze over the island grounds. As he made his way up the ladder, he paused briefly as he spotted one of the clansmen flying their way. They made this look incredibly easy really. Taking in a breath, he just continued to work on getting to the top. He dodged some spears here and avoided getting shot in the back by some arrows.

Already tired of the arrow she'd gotten during her spar, Riley dropped back down as soon as the first spear swarm came for her. She would try again while they were reloading..

The slimer clung tightly to the ladder, again frozen from the fear of heights, but more so from falling into a spear or some other weapon strewn around the tree. His limbs were pretzeled around the ladder, not even a crow bar was going to pry the student from its place. His eyes shut tight, and so was his mouth. If he was left there for weeks, he would probably have cocooned himself, and would until he grew some kind of wings.
But he moved on, eventually, upon hearing that there were other students who were trying to get to the top of the point, and an area he has yet to explore. He moved slowly, with at least three of his limbs tightly gripped, while the free one would move. He moved very much like a gecko, being green and all.

Roch liked the observatory room. He would LIKE to actually spend some time up there, so on the off hope that he could get there and NOT run into a million and one of the war clan members, the punk boil raced up the ladder, dodging each of the traps he'd already seen a ton of times. (He was seriously starting to contemplate a tree fort when they got back to the school, ijs.) He broke into a grin when he saw that the room was empty for once, and pulled himself into the room, intent on seeing everything from the window. He stopped at the farthest one, staring out happily before dropping down beside the window and digging through his pockets. He had a candybar! It was like, one of his last, so he didn't want to eat it where people could see him and ask him for one, y'know? Sitting there on the floor, he kicked his legs out in front of him--only to send something sliding across the floor a foot. The punk boil leaned forward, then got to his knees, reaching forward and picking up the key. It was strange looking, he thought as he flipped it over. He wondered where it went... He stood, moving around the room slowly and looking for any doors or keyholes-- A grin crossed his face as he reached the door by the entrance. His hand ran over it, fingers resting lightly on the keyhole before he did what everyone would have done. He slid the key into the hole.

Shun continued to climb on up, but at some point, his footing slipped, and he nearly got himself impaled onto the spears jutting out. It was close enough that he had actually gotten cut by the spear head somewhat. Hissing in pain, he looked at his leg to see some red stains forming on his pants. He wasn't so certain if he should keep on climbing up with that injury. Grimacing, he made his way down and went back to the dorms so he could get that wrapped up.
It was a good thing he had brought extra bandages. Granted, that was more for his eye than anything else.

Unfortunately, once she managed to hurtle over the spears that came flying for her, the arrows were next - and the ache in her leg told her not to risk them this time. So she headed back down to the base, no worse for wear.

Shehk had found she liked climbing, she liked being up high. However, she hadn't ever quite...made it all the way up to the top of the observation point. Which was disappointing. She kept getting distracted and she'd look down to stared down to see how high up they were.
Heights that were 99% lethal --> No problem.
Enclosed spaces that wouldn't kill her --> Panic massively.
Funny how her brain worked sometimes.
She climbed up past a few spears that were jutting out across the ladder, noting that there were a few more people climbing up and starting at them before a sudden barrage of arrows came by, causing her to startle and nearly let go of the ladder entirely.

The slimer cursed the clanmember who had easily maneuvered herself through the obstacles of spears and other sharp and spiky things. He would have expressed joy and seeing a beautiful display of skill, but it had irked him that he’s seen it many times before. All he wanted to do was get to the top of the point just to see the rest of the isle, but alas, he failed yet again today.
The dear gecko ghost, made his way down the ladder, hoping to perhaps get up there before his time on the island ends.

Shehk really did have a problem with looking down and then staring in awe at the height.
Which was why she was clinging to the ladder, tail wagging excitedly. Oh man, the view was great!

As she watched another few horsemen take flight to the top of the observation point, the ghoul was reminded once again that she should try to get to the view again today.

Edel decided that the wind that day was a little better for climbing the ladder to get to the top.
She was wrong.
Once again, the ghoul found herself clinging onto the ladder for dear life as it swayed freely in the wind, threateningly close to the spears nearby.
Just what would it take for her to be able to get back to the top to enjoy the view again?

The result was actually rather disappointing: a thick rope ladder unravelled from within the door all the way back to the tree base. Roch was going to have fun climbing down. OOC - THE ??? LAIR HAS NOW BEEN DISCOVERED. All students can stumble upon it HERE

Roch stared. Then he looked around to see if anyone else was seeing what he was seeing. A glint caught his eye and he reached down, scooping up another shiny and pocketing it before shrugging. Looked like he had more climbing to do, he thought as he grabbed the ladder and started his way down again.

Considering what had happened earlier on in the day after entering the room at the base of the tree, the ghoul must have been mental to even want to attempt climbing to the top of the observation point again. Who knows if something terrible might happen if she stayed up there long enough, considering what was happening there down below.
Still, the ghoul began to climb, the shower of arrows coming towards her serving as a nice reminder as to why it might not be a good idea. But ... she didn't really feel like giving up just yet ...
