Current Weight: 76,3kg (168 lbs)
Weight change since last week: 1kg (-2lbs)
How I feel (mentally/physically): I'm back on track and feeling full of energy!
Exercise (optional): Gym.
How did the week go? Okay, so I lost the stuff I gained recently. The sick week really was a good learning opportunity for my self. I ate lots of sugary stuff etc and my tummy wasn't processing it well. Now, when I'm back to my normal food and I've left out the sugary stuff (except the occasional dark chocolate piece) I'm feeling better and my tummy is feeling a lot better. So I need to add the sugar into the list of no-no's and looks like it's just below the greasy stuff. In a way, it's a good thing that my stomach just can't digest these things because it makes this a whole lot easier when you not only just gain weight but feel terrible and sick.

@sam: Thank you. *hug* So how's the weight watchers? Have you started yet?

Current Weight:145
Weight change since last week:-1lb
How I feel (mentally/physically):feeling good - seasonal allergies are in full swing (bleh)
Exercise (optional): walking, elliptical x3
How did the week go? Well I haven't posted here in a bit. I was planning to just post that this isn't working for me and I should just try something else. I've been feeling guilty about avoiding this... BUT as it turns out -This does seem to be helping after all. Even while I was avoiding, it was still in the back of my mind and I credit it with still paying attention to what I eat.

Current Weight: 76,8kg (169 lbs)
Weight change since last week: +0,5kg (+1lbs)
How I feel (mentally/physically): Going up and down again! gonk
Exercise (optional): Jogging and lifting weights.
How did the week go? Meh... I suppose this sums it all up. I'm glad that I'm back at the work next week so I can get back to my gym routine.

Camwen

I know what you mean. This is good way to keep track, but you easily forget to post the situation in here. Especially when the progress haven't been what you have been hoping for. smile Still, we are all doing a good job and we need to keep it up! *hugs all*

Hey guys!

Haven't been here in a while... it's been a tough struggle with my weight this summer. Up and down. Encouraged and discouraged. I quit Weight Watchers, I don't think it's for me.

But today I bought WiiFit Plus! Played it for over an hour today... got a pretty good workout out of it too. I think this could work. I'm confident that I'm eating fairly well, I just need to increase my activity.

What's new with everyone else?

What's new with everyone else?

Well, I more or less gave up on my diet at the moment (hence my not posting).

It's too hot to go for walks and I am stressed to the point that I am too exhausted; so exercise is shot.

Really, the stress is so bad and that I have been spending most of my time either broken down or in a stupor with short, manic episodes. The abuse has gotten so bad at times that I have started breaking down in public. My best friend says he thinks I have PTSD.

Medically, my testicle has a friend and we're not sure what it is besides probably non-cancerous. Cyst is the most common diagnosis, but it hurts to walk. My testosterone is also 25 (it should be at least multiple thousands). My headaches have gotten far worse, my left eye is malfunctioning (numb, wanders, loses focus, goes foggy, blacks out), and I am having balance issues – so coupled with the testosterone, I am scared that I might have a tumor or something.

Getting into school has hit a flotilla of snags. My having no direction not included. No money has become as issue since the money that was put aside for that was taken by my cousin along with about 90% of her income each month. So all the begging my worthless a** can do is for nought. Also, my transferred credits were all denied. Then top it off with that I could not make the deadline and will have to reapply entirely for winter quarter.

Aw, it sounds like there's something going on health-wise, for sure. Hopefully it's benign, or a cyst. When will you find out about that?

In my opinion physical and emotional health are entwined. They're going to be both be good, or they'll both suffer. Don't give up on your diet entirely. Your body could be reacting to something in what you eat... gluten, HFCS, and sulfates are common culprits.

I can't speak to the school stuff because the requirements are different in the states. Nothing worth doing is easy. Hang in there.

I've also returned to the "why" section of "why do I want to get thinner" and "why do I need to do this"? I'm still exercising regularly (at least trying) and keeping an eye on my eating but I've decided that I won't weight my self until end of the year. Why? Because it was too much of an emotional roller coaster every morning to see if I was up or down. It really didn't help me so I'm going to keep on my routine and then see if I've gotten anywhere by the end of the year. smile

Wii Fit is really great! I have it also and it really gives you a nice sweat if you really try it. The thing is, how to keep up with it for long period, but I tend to "find it again" every now and then and do some periods of time regularly on it. Now, when I've been busy in overall with the work and all, I haven't played with the Wii so much and instead I've tried to keep up with my gym routine.

Well I'm very guilty of blowing off this thread. The good news is I haven't gained anything back. The bad news is I'm kind of in a holding pattern with low motivation at the moment. Exercise is still going well - it's mostly my sugar addiction that lingers on.

I'm also taking a break - mostly to shake the guilt a little and find my motivation again. I know it's out there. rofl

Yeah... I want to lose weight desperately, but I also want to feel better. I know when I exercise I have more energy and it's easier to do housework and lift things. I also am probably getting married in a few months, so I'd like to look good in whatever dress I wear.

I think the WiiFit could be a good fit for me because I am shy and don't want to leave my house, but I'm also competitive and like unlocking things and beating scores. I love how it automatically charts your progress. I eat quite healthy, I just don't get any exercise at all. So that's mostly what I need to increase.

Hey, maintaining is excellent! I have to work to do that. Sometimes I feel like I must be a fat magnet. gonk

Cutting out sugar can be really tough. Natural black licorice can be a good substitute to sugary candy, but only if you like the taste of it. Same goes for dark chocolate with high cocoa percentage. I also used to take cinnamon pills; I think they're supposed to help regulate your blood sugar and help with sugar cravings. So you might want to look into that?

Partially today. I went to the doctor and what I have in my testicle is a varicose veins on the epididymal head. Because of my left eye and that a handful of other hormones are tanking, he wants me to get a cortisol and prolactin panel to rule out the tumor. I don't have the money though and am already working well into my 2013 medical budget.

I am not sure if i want to do the hormone replacement. I am conflicted for a lot of reasons, not all of them reasonable. sad

Well, I am still stuck with the same dietary intake (less than healthy), I meant more in that I had to let go a bit on the quantities and variety in it. So balance is off.

But yes, i understand and agree, I just wanted to clarify.

It would be easier if I could find what I wanted to do. At times it seems like I don't even have a place in society.
