Mizaka cringed a bit as she watched the tipsy woman walk away. Just how many glasses did she have, anyway? It usually takes a whole bottle to get Mizaka drunk.
"One of us should have followed her just in case..." she sighed as she swirled the wine in her glass. "I heard you guys talking about wishes. Sadly, very few wish-granting creatures are honest..."

"... She has had quite a bit..." Kyle looked back at the door, as if waiting to see if she would stumble back in to save him some effort. "... I'll go check on her if she's not back in twenty minutes or so." He nodded at her take on the leprechauns, figuring that was the case. "So you think if you wished for something simple he'd find a way to twist it?"
Kiah was walking steadily to the kitchen, only tripping three times when a few of the scientists went running by with nets in hand, knocking into her and sending her sprawling to the floor. She sat up in a daze, blinking at the ones who'd knocked her down and noticing that her dress had shimmied its way up her thigh. "Whoopsie!~ Wonder where they were going..." Telling herself she'd get the food later, she heaved herself up and made sure her dress was where it should be, skipping after the men.

"Oh yeah, definitely." Mizaka took another sip of her wine. "Fairy Folk are not fond of humans, so they try their best to make us miserable. Even if you wished for something extremely simple, like a slice of cheesecake for example, they'll find a way to make that wish backfire in your face." She coughed a bit and recalled last year's misadventure in Ireland. "Anyway, what do you want to wish for, if given the chance?"

"I can see why they wouldn't like us, especially if Komui ended up kidnapping that little guy." Kyle absentmindedly grabbed one of the wine bottles and passed it back and forth between his hands. He frowned in thought for a second, knowing exactly what he'd wish for. "Me? I'd probably wish to be irresistible to the ladies~," he said with a smirk, not giving away his true wish at all. In reality, there were now two things he truly wanted to wish for, but he wasn't ready to risk them being twisted into something horrible.

Mizaka rolled her eyes, completely unaware that Kyle was only trying to hide his true wish.
"Why am I not surprised? I can already see how that will blow up in your face." She gulped down the last drop of wine and put the glass aside. "I know for a fact that I can never trust a Leprechaun with my wish..." Her voice suddenly had a sad tone in it and she looked down at the floor.

"Unfortunately, so can I..." He might not have been the brightest, but he could cook up a few scenarios for each of those wishes that made him cringe. When Mizaka spoke up he looked at her in curiosity, wondering what her wish could be. "... Why is that?" he asked hesitantly. If she actually felt comfortable telling him, maybe he could tell her... at least his wish. There was no way he could tell anyone who knew Kiah his other wish...

Mizaka let out a sigh and pulled her legs up. Resting her chin on her knees, she briefly wondered why she suddenly felt comfortable with telling Kyle her wish. No one else knew, not even Jack or Franzie...
"All I want...is to see my parents again..."

Kyle was a bit shocked that Mizaka was telling him this, especially after she'd thrown him into a wall not even a half hour ago. He smiled a bit at the irony of them having a similar wish, though it was quickly wiped off his face. "What... happened to them?" He didn't want her to be depressed, but he honestly wanted to know.

For a moment, Mizaka didn't answer his question. She had already told a few people about what had happened to her parents, and each time wasn't easier than the last. Inhaling deeply, she turned her head to face Kyle.
"When I was five, my home was attacked by a Poltergeist. My parents were brutally murdered right in front of me. I was about to die as well, when my powers had awakened and scared the Spirit away. I...I still have the scar on my chest from when the Spirit tried to kill me..."

Kyle frowned at the lingo, but figured she didn't really want him firing off questions again. "Scars are the norm around here, it seems..." Even though there wasn't much to say, he'd never said "I'm sorry" when hearing about a loss, as he never wanted anyone to say it to him. He held the wine bottle he'd been tossing around out to her, thinking she wouldn't appreciate anything more. "... I lied about my wish, by the way..." He hesitated, thinking over what he needed to edit if she asked about it. "... Her name was Lea. Never did get to say goodbye, either..."

Mizaka simply nodded. The one on her chest wasn't the only scar she had, but she decided to tell that story another day. She took the bottle from Kyle's hand, smiled at him to show her appreciation, and poured herself another glass. When Kyle told her that he lied about his wish, she raised an eyebrow and listened to him speak.
"Was she...special to you?"
