This.... wasn't so bad. Initially Rikki had to trample a couple ferns or something, but he found the path quickly and headed down it with a bounce in his step, snatching up the flag as he went. This was going to be easy!

Long Grass Field
The ravine was more of a problem. Going down and up would be a lot of work, take a lot of time, and leave him tired, which could be an issue for later in the course. He paced the edge, not really paying much mind to where his feet fell. With a loud yell he suddenly fell through the ground and went sliding down dirt walls. Jack Skellington, he was going to die.
Except, despite a hard landing, there was a path down here. Well then... That wasn't so bad. He snatched the flag and limp down the path, rubbing his rear gingerly.

... Ew. Rikki liked swimming, but this lake just looked... gross. Normally he would just jump in, but he had the mind to pull of his shirt and jacket so they wouldn't get ruined in the green, swampy waters before wading with his pack over his head. This was gross.
He was just trying to get across, not exactly being careful, when his bare stomach bumped something leathery. Ugh. Ew. Ew. It was probably a waterlogged branch or something. ... Except it reared back and opened wide, proving not only that it was a crocodile, but that it had an impressive mouth of teeth. Nyyrikki silently slammed his fist into the crocodile's nose (... wasn't that shark defense?) and while it was momentarily confused, he took off in the other direction. Swim team had been good for him, because he made it to the bank with all his skin. Too bad it was the wrong bank.
