When the initial anger of their destruction wore off, she could still feel Jericho's rage boiling through her. She rolled her shoulders, trying to calm herself down, if only to give him some peace as well. Then she climbed up as far as she could go, and began repairing the structure of the castle.

One final pat of the sand, and she slid back down, shaking the sand out of her tentacles as she regarded the rest of her group. I hate to admit it, but this isn't as bad as some of the other challenges we've had to face at our school. If I wasn't itching all over and dying from the heat, I would probably almost be enjoying myself.

Malodore spluttered as nature took its course, waves smashing into their castle and wrecking a good portion of it. Curse you, tidal fluxes! The plague doctor hurriedly knelt next to one castle wall and started shoring it up again, though a lot of the sand slid through its narrow claws.

So much for all the beautiful towers and things. The best Malodore was hoping for at this point was getting it in some castle-like form. Ancient moldering castle ruins, maybe. As long as it looked more like 'castle' and less like 'pile of sand'. It patted up another bit of wall.

This wall was looking more like an actual wall with every bit of sand retrieved. The plague doctor worked painstakingly, making sure the wall was as stable as it could possibly make it.

Jericho looked with dismay as the tide came in and did quite a bit of damage to their construct.
"NOOOOOO!" he cried out. Well.. there wasn't much to do other than attempt to rebuild. Taking flight once more, he looked around to see what parts of the castle needed the most work. Spotting one such area, he swooped in and began to lay the sand grains back into place to the best of his ability.
It worked out pretty well.

Jericho was frantically trying to rebuild as quickly as he could. Though, in his haste, he ended up dropping one of the sand bricks onto his foot.
"RAAGH!" he cried out while hopping back. Damn that hurt more than it should have.

Once the pain in his foot numbed down a bit, Jericho managed to pat down a few more chunks of sand in the meantime. Hopefully his efforts helped a bit.

The crab defeated, Junko felt pretty good. She looked up at their cast--wait, up? She hadn't even realized she now had to look up at their castle until now. Her focus had been entirely on the giant crab!
No wonder it was giant. They were just super tiny.
OH GOD WATER IT WAS EVERYWHERE! Junko cried out with despair as a tower nearly collapsed onto her, running flailing out of its way and watching as their castle was nearly destroyed. Nooooooo! Their castle noooooo! The others, with the exception of their additional member who was burying her head in the ground, were quick to start trying to repair their castle. And Riley had a point..
"Yeah! Nobody's died~!" Yet.
She managed to get a few pieces in place! "Um..okay, I think!" She answered Jericho, patting at the wall and hoping it would stay up.

Something happened. Junko developed like...OCD or something. She spent forever on the same section of wall until it was perfect.

The Nergal felt compelled to do something at least, as she watched her teammates struggle to keep their castle remaining more.... beautiful?
Not that she knew what beauty meant outside of bandages, but if the purple things said so, so it must be! She finally pulled her head out of the soaking sand and grabbed the closest grain of sand she could, pushing it a little towards the castle.
She felt so accomplished!
