Umi used his food to distract him from the male next to him. But his food ran out too fast, and his stomach filled too much. Because Gab was now done as well, taking both of their plates to the kitchen, washing them. He stayed at the table, looking at his hand for a moment as Gab washed the dishes and put them in the dishwasher. He was about to turn around when he heard the water turn off, but Gab was already hugging him from behind. He froze in the smaller male’s arms. His jaw tightened slightly, feeling the male so close to him. “It’s not a problem. Anytime.” He said, kind of short, trying to keep himself in check. Gab then released him and started to go to his room. “Don’t forget to do your homework” He said to him, his breathing normal now that Gab wasn’t hugging him.

"I won't forget. Thanks for everything Umi, I'll try not to bother you anymore tonight." He waved and smiled before walking up to his room and laying on his bed on his stomach. He grabbed his backpack and spread his homework out on the bed and started to do it. He didn't exactly like homework but the thought of pleasing his new brother by doing it made him inclined to do it.

With Gab in his room, Umi had time to think. He tilted his head back and stared at the ceiling for a couple of minutes. What was up with this feeling? Why was he so attracted to his new little brother? Maybe it was because he had to cancel his date and he was just horny. That had to be it. He just needed to let out some steam. He had a date tomorrow. He would just have to wait until then. Umi tilted his head back down and got up from his seat at the table. He wanted to face his face. He walked up to the bathroom and peaked in his brother open door. He smiled when he saw the male doing his homework. But he quickly frowned and closed the bathroom door. He was smiling around him way too easily. It was strange for him.

After a while Gabriel fell asleep on his books, with the pen still in his hand. His stuffed bunny was sitting next to him and easily fell onto his head. He breathed softly as he fell into a deep sleep, his body relaxing as he was on the bed. He fell into little dreams, first light ones about how he was now, then about how things were then...Flashes of fire and lightning int he sky were all he could see, he heard rain on asphalt and the sound of sirens in the distance. An all too familiar soreness came from the place where he once felt so much pain.

Umi had moved to his room and was working on a few of the personal things he had to do before bed time. He had calmed his mind and his body by the time he went to check up on Gab and go to sleep. He walked out of his room, walking down the hall tired and ready for bed. He opened gab’s down, his eyes closed in a yawn. “Gab, I’m goin-“ He said when he saw the male sleeping on his books. But he was shaking and there was this scared look on his face. He moved to the bed and placed his hand on Gab’s shoulder. “Gab” He shook the male to wake him. “Gabriel…”

Gabriel's face moved in a sad expression mixed with pain and some tears starting to well at the corners. He felt shaking and his eyes opened quickly, breathing a bit fast. His face turned a bit pink with embarrassment and sat up. "Ahh...Sorry, I fell asleep while doing homework." He smiled a little, starting to gather his things and putting them into his backpack since he had finished all that he really needed to get done.

Umi froze when he saw his new little brother crying. It actually broke his heart. He hated to see people crying. He shook the male a little and he woke, looking up at Umi with a flush of embarrassment. He sat up and tried to busy himself with cleaning off his homework. But the image of Umi crying was burned into his mind. He leaned across the bed slightly, cupping the side of Gabriel’s face before he licked his trail of tears, out of habit. “Don’t cry anymore…” He whispered, his voice light and airy. Tears were his weakness. He couldn’t stand them, and wound do anything to make them go away.

Gabriel continued to put his things together and tried to wipe away his tears until his brother took his face in his hand and licked his cheek and tears away. His eye closed out of instinct of something foreign being close to it, and his face heated up drastically. "U-umi?...I'm fine...R-really...Um...Is this a uh..Natural thing for you to do? Just wondering.." He asked about the licking, now very confused and embarrassed.

Umi froze when he pulled back. Gab was redder than a tomato. Wait, what had he just done. Gab stuttered, saying he was alright, asking him if this was normal for him. Umi’s face got nearly as red as Gabriel’s as he started to shake his head. He got up and turned around. “Sorry about that Gabriel.” He said with a restrained voice, quickly leaving the room. He walked to the bathroom and locked himself inside, turning the cold water on before stepping into it to calm his body down and possibly his mind. Why the had had he done that?

Gabriel sat on his bed, very deep in confused thoughts just trying to wonder why Umi had done that. Though he figured that it was just something that his new brother did normally to crying people. "Umi? Umi, what's wrong?" The boy called in a blank confused voice, his emotions seeming to calm down to their normal blankness and accepting. "Don't be sorry. I'm gonna go to sleep. Thanks for waking me up, I was just having a bad dream. Thanks. Good night Umi."

Gabriel’s voice was slightly drowned out by the water. Umi’s mind was in turmoil. Why had he done that? It wasn’t normal. Why couldn’t he just wipe his tears or something? But he had to get that close to him? He shook his head waiting as he heard footsteps return to their room, and a door close. He turned the water off and stepped out of the shower dripping wet. He looked at himself in the mirror and shook his head. He needed to go to bed. Now.

The boy did not take long in getting to sleep, for he usually did not dwell over a single thing. It was a part of him that he should not feel that much emotion, that what other people felt in the height of their frustration made him confused. He had always been that way since...Well he had always been that way, and he figured. 'What would trying to change it do?' There was never a choice, he just went with the flow of things and wherever he ended up would be where fate decided for him. After all fate decided the end of the people he cared most for in the world, and in time it would take him, possibly in the same manner. His slumber would take him all the way to the next day without so much as a single dream. He liked dreams, most of the time they were light as a feather, but the darker ones turned to something he would rather be without.

Umi went to his room, stripping his wet clothes. He dressed in his PJ bottoms and crawled into the bed. He laid on his back and looked up at the ceiling. He placed his arm over his head and thought for a moment. But his thoughts bothered him. So he turned over and closed his eyes. Forcing himself to sleep. He wouldn’t wake until his alarm in the morning. He had to take Gab to school before going to work. He got up out of bed slowly, feeling tired and sore. He stood, but was stopped by a sneeze. He wasn’t getting sick was he?

By the time the man rose in the morning, Gabriel was already up and taking a shower. He didn't bother to lock the door, just in case the man needed shaving supplies or something important for work. He never liked to bother people by being in their bathrooms and such. He let the warm water fall over him and felt happy that it felt so good.

Umi got dressed, and could feel that he was drowsy. Great. He was fighting a cold. He dressed warmly before leaving his room. He could hear the water running in the bathroom and decided to use his parent’s bathroom instead. He didn’t really want to face Gabriel just yet. He washed his face and such in his parent’s bathroom. But he had his tooth brush in the other bathroom. He frowned, returning to brush his teeth. He knocked first. “Hey Gab, can I get my tooth brush?”
