"Yes, it is sad, but at least they lived and survived. It was better then where they could have been." She said, peering off into space. She felt bad that the kids got involved, but it was the only way for her to make sure they lived without them having to truly depend on her. She didn't want them to worry about things should she vanish for days at a time.

Onyx smiled when he talked about how he didn't like to wait. It was cute to know that he wanted to know about the little things and how he wanted things back to the way they were. She nodded.

"I understand that you are....eager to know more about us and know about me. I truly do, but I....don't want to put to much on you. I don't want you to feel pressured to be the way you once were. I will tell you all about how we once were and myself, but I ask that you also accept that we may not be exactly the same way we once were" She said with a small smile.

"Okay. I can fill those in for you. We first met when your father sent you to an Island where the owner arranged matches for each person. Everyone on the island was either of noble birth, powerful magically, or rich beyond belief. Your brother was sent there but he never found a match. I hated the idea of being matched to someone so....randomly. My own parents thought that I needed a mate. After so many years without finding one, they figured it was time to gain one. I was a little bit harsh to you, because your brother played me. But things got worse before they got better. Your ex at the time returned to the island, desperate to have you back." She paused, pushing her hand through her hair, not really sure she wanted to be walking down that road again.

Onyx shook her head vigirously, realizing she had not prefaced her moment in time right.

"No, No, No, No. That was our first meeting. We met there, we didn't....marry because of that at all. Actually, that is where a lot of...discord started. Your ex came and then mine did. Mine was....violent and possessive. He managed to abduct me from the island and sell me into slavery. You....were very hurt by what happened, thinking that I had abandoned you to rot there. Many years later you went to a high end slavery and guess who was there? You found me....though I was in a very dark mind set. Though, so were you. I swear you hated me, the way you looked at me and the things you said were very....hurtful at the time. I tried to....end my life, but you were absolutely adamant that was not going to happen."

She smiled fondly as she rubbed her finger of the scar on her wrist. She still had it, many years after the fact. She never allowed her body to get rid of it. She was rather attached to it. She let out a soft sigh.

"Like I said, we were a very...explosive couple. We were back and forth a lot. I was erractic and half crazed, or fully crazed depending on who you ask. You were....cold and cruel. Eventually, after a lot of drama, pain and anger, we got on the same page. And when we did," She paused again, grinning to herself as she remember what it was like when they finally got on the same wavelength.

"Lets just say we made a lot of people envious, to keep things clean?"

Onyx looked at Kamui and her eyes seemed to take on a more serious light as she gave him a smile. She held his hand in hers, squeezing it a bit.

"I am inclined to agree with making this one better then the last. I truly want to start and continue this relationship better then the last." She leaned in and gave him a soft kiss, keeping his hand in hers. She pulled back and gave him a soft smile.

Onyx smiled softly, finding it cute that he wanted to get a job and get a house for them. Of course, she wasn't going to tell him he was foolish for thinking she didn't maintain their assets, both together and separate assets. She figured it was some kind of instinctual need provide for his family.

"What do you think you will want to do? What kind of job do you think you will want to do?" She asked, curious as to what he wanted to do once he put the finality on the orphanage.

She nodded, wondering exactly where that could come in handy. She smiled, noticing how he seemed to go off on a tangent a bit.

"So, no more politics?" She asked, curious if he was planning on not going back to that life.

"Not at all. I merely want to know if that is something you would like to do. I want you happy Kamui, if that means you want to be a tattoo artist for a prison or if you want to rule the world." She said with a smile. She really wanted him to be happy. This was his chance to do whatever he wanted. He could do what made him truly happy and not what other people wanted from him.
