"You keep hanging around nerds you'll become one yourself, Otto." Jude somewhat teasingly. His voice lacked any sort of energy, however.

Deryk was now really confused. Taichou? It didn't end there too. The guy went on to use a number of Japanese terms... and also used the word bankai. And for a moment, he wondered if he was dreaming. But no, that wasn't quite probable. He never watched that much Bleach to have caused something like this. No way.

"Uh... Sir...? Is.. thereaproblem?" he (kind of) slowly asked Allan.

Otto's eyes widened behind his shades, and shot a glare afterward at Jude that could pierce through armour. Words could not form to dish out an insult at the long haired hunter.

In lieu of a verbal comment, Otto flipped Jude off.

Wilson continued to stare at Allan. What kind of jargon had the man spewed? Dammit, it was like meeting Justin all over again! He couldn’t understand the foreign words he had used, though they sounded sort of familiar. He narrowed his eyes and wracked his brain. Where had he heard it before? Oh, that was right. He used to have a college buddy that talked with similar words. Wilson moved his chair over to Deryk and leaned over to quietly ask, “I’m not crazy when I say he’s a Japanophile, right?” Whatever anime his friend somehow managed to ingrain in him had already flown at the window. He stared at his uniform to check for any peculiarities, but nope. It was perfectly fine.

Jude tilted his head as he stared at Otto not really paying much mind to the concern over their attire that Allan was apparently having.

"Just one?" The Death Hunter held up two hands and flipped two birds back at Otto, "I understand if you only have enough coordination to just use the one hand."

Well, he had been sitting next to Bix once upon a time, but apparently Simon and Garfunkel Allan were going to have a...whatever it was they were doing.

"That's because you are a nerd," said Gale breezily from behind Otto.

The brofist contact was followed up by a brofist explosion - courtesy of Allan - what looked like the Hunter locking both this thumbs together and making a paper bird - or a jet plane, complete with more sound effects.

He basked in the aftermath for a couple seconds longer before his expression sobered up. "Yes, special gear, which I-" here, he jabbed a thumb at himself - "have specifically prepared. Just lemme find my bags and-" he broke off in mid-conversation, pulling a series of large black sport bags from the debris of the table, dumping them on what little free space there was left in the room. "Now see trainees, it is important before you go on a mission to be prepared. The opponent must never anticipate your moves, you must use your inner spirit powers to channel who you really are."

With that, Allan unzipped the first of the bags, rather unabashedly changing his pants and shirt right in front of everyone, finally pulling on a white overcoat as well. The back of the coat had something rather familiar to most trainees - the emblem of the Sun Division. In fact, as most trainees finally put two and two together, Simon for one being the Sun Division Assistant, and Allan for two, with a rather over-the-top, fancy white coat, it wasn't really hard to tell that they were looking at their Sun Division Leader.

Some of the Sun trainees might have experienced a moment of intense mental repression.

"Alright trainees, my name is Allan and I will be your division leader." He struck another pose. "But you can just call me Allan-taichou okay? Okay. We gotta have this respect thing going on between us you know, gotta feel the flow of power. Now, this man here," he pointed his thumb at Simon, "is gonna be supervising our important mission, which involves-" a dramatic pause - "an infestation of Hollows."

Allan didn't wait for the trainees to react, making a few ooh-aaah poses himself with his hands before moving onto the next bag, handing a few of what looked like black robes to Simon. "Now everyone take off your silly outfits and wear these very important ceremonial robes. They represent you, your pride and status-" another dramatic pause -"as a Shinigami."

Any trainees who had unfolded the robe would have noticed a tag sticking out that still read 'Cosplay.com, Made in China'.

Allan probably expects everyone to put the robes on....

As a what. Madison froze. This was... this was serious nerd territory here. Oh god. Oh god. This was costuming, this was...

Sensei! Kouki sighed, and Madison could practically see all eight of the serpent-sword's former eyes light up with stars.

... OH GOD.

She picked up one of the robes between thumb and forefinger, holding it at arms length as though it were a particularly nasty bit of cloth. Really? Really? She already had a freakin' kimono-coat! Geez!

And we are in Death division, so it is most appropriate! We shall be like a god of death!

........ oh god. There was NO WAY she was going to be the first one to put one of these on. No way in the world.

Jude's remark had Otto fuming, but Gale chiming in really did it. The young blonde gritted his teeth, his jaw tightening and blood boiling. His fists clenched so tight his knuckles went white, and his nails dug into his palms. He wanted so badly to sock them both. He wanted his fists to fly.

He'd managed to contain his rage. Just barely.

And then... it turned out that nerd was head of the Sun Division. Great. Worser yet, he wanted them to dress up? What the ******** was a hollow?! Otto had never watched anime.

"No ******** way am I wearin' some stupid lookin' skirt." He growled as he looked over the robes.

Rep looked on with quiet disbelief at the interaction between the two men, not at all sure /what/ to think at this juncture, adrenaline still rushing in his veins from the spat with Leon. He had no idea what kind of special mission they'd be going on and tried to see what the hell was in the bags.

He was still trying to get a look when Allan basically got changed right in front of them, leaving Rep feeling slightly disturbed and more than a little confused. He couldn't call the guy a ******** homo could he? When it was him who'd watched him change by mistake? It was a whole ******** barrel of logic he didn't want to get into as he spotted the unmistakable sun emblem, the emblem he was most familiar with, and felt his stomach sink. Oh ********. OH ******** was their division leader.

He thought it over.

Well. At least it wasn't a woman.

As he was handed a robe though, he peered at it incredulously. "What the ******** is a Shinigami? Is this a DRESS?"

Jude sighed a bit at the rage that Otto was exuding, "Sorry man, I didn't think it'd piss you off that bad." His hands dropped to his side. It seemed his socializing needed a bit of work.

Then there came the robes and he barely felt like the words were connecting in his mind as he held on to the one he got a hold of and looked it over. Then he just started to change into it. It was clothes. Whatever. If it got them out of here faster then so much the better.

So what if it looked like a dress or whatever. People around here didn't know his gender anyways it seemed so what was a little added humiliation?

Jude was a honey badger he gave no ********. Not a one.

Though the question remained: when the hell did he step into an anime?

There were really no words for this man. This..Sun Division leader. He was just over the top in all the fun ways and Cass loved it. She loved Aria and H more, but this man was so.. refreshing she couldn't help but be completely taken by the idea of actually wearing a funny costume while going out to hunt the 'Hollows'.

"Hai, Allan-Taichou~" Cass consented. She knew enough weabo to know 'Yes' and to maybe play it up a bit. This was going to be fun, right? Clearly she agreed it was going to be fun because just like the Boss man Cass had absolutely no qualms with stripping down right there to get changed into the strange unifo-er, ceremonial robes, even if watching her try to figure out how they got on was probably the most distracting of things rather than being in her undies.

Yep.

The 'I don't care'ometer just went that far to account for who saw her and how dressed she was when they did see her.

She frowned after a minute. "I think I need help..."

Clerise giggled even as she took the robes, slipping out of her white coat. "What's a tie-cho? And what's a shiny gamey?"

It felt awfully cheap, and she looked rather pale in the black. "Feel the flow of power, huh..."

Simon had changed into his robes with the swiftness of one who both prized efficiency as well as someone used to quick costume changes. He didn't appear to mind the robes, but at Otto's words the assistant had his weapons summoned and one of the handguns pointing at the young trainees head in a matter of seconds. The other trained on Rep immediately after. "Insubordinate arguments over clothing during mission preparation is an unforgivable waste of time. Please wait until after the mission to file a proper complaint. Thank you."

The assistant's voice never changed tempo, his expression never shifted, and the summoned gun remained steady. This was nothing personal. It was simply Serious Business.

"More changing clothes, again?" Leon groaned out and wanted to kick at something, anything. but paused in mid bitching to stare at the sun leader. "Shina-whatdafuk?" he blurted out as he began to inspect the provided clothing for any secret compartments/ extra fabric to use for anything. -It means your leaders a jacking loon- Nid quipped up from his little corner of consciousness.

Couldn't argue with him there.

Still, Leon took the time to look over the odd clothing that felt.... really cheap and stupid. What about the promotion vest, he really wanted to wear that. But did he really expect them to-

Well he did notice that Allen had no hesitation in changing right there. "i guess we don't get to keep our coats on, do we.....tight-chow?"

On the plus side, at least he wasn't a sun hunter and had to deal with this..... whatever it is, on a daily basis.
