Haydon was not a quiet sleeper. She murmured under her breath for the longest time, seeming to spew nonsense. As if sensing that she was being watched in her sleep, Haydon made a face before rolling over, facing away from Ariyo now. "Stop that." she murmured into a pillow. For the first time, Haydon was not being hammered with endless nightmares of a cruel and torturous nature, they seemed to stay away for now. Instead the girl felt almost safe as her sleeping mind wandered through possible dreams and finally found one. Haydon's breath was calm and even for a long time, the dream must have been peaceful because she didn't toss or turn in her sleep. After a few hours or so the green eyed girl jerked awake, her fever gone and the rings under her eyes nonexistent.

Haydon quickly looked around. "Where am I-?" she paused at the sound of Ariyo's voice before she turned to him. "What? what happened, the last thing I remember was-" her words cut off as the wheels clicked in her head, the last thing she remembered was telling Ariyo not to touch her back at the school. Without warning she tackled the boy and pinned him to the bed with narrowed green eyes. "I told you not to touch me." she grumbled, referring to what he had done back at school. "How long have I been out?" she questioned. Taking one quick glance to the side, Haydon knew she was in Meg's guest room before she looked back to Ariyo, still pinning him down. She wasn't happy with him and at the moment she refused to release the boy. Suddenly another question came to her mind. "How long have you been here?" she asked with suspicion. Had he been with her the whole time? For some reason this thought made Haydon's face turn a light shade of pink, and for another unknown reason to her, she couldn't be as mad at him as she wanted to be. With these thoughts in her head, Haydon's grip on Ariyo loosened a little so she didn't discomfort him but she didn't let him up. She was still unhappy with him. Her expression was no longer a scowl ether, instead she examined his face for a moment. "Ariyo." she murmured again as if she had to tell him something.

Haydon pulled the foggy memory of Ariyo carrying her when she was sick, she remembered that she had done the same thing she just did now. She remembered the strange feeling that crept up on her and the reason it did, Ariyo had kissed the top of her head. Haydon also remembered what she almost told him. Haydon let a smile show as she slowly shook her head. "Near the nurses office huh?" she raised an eyebrow. "Why dose that sound like a lie?" she questioned before remembering something else, Haydon's hand then went to his chest where she found the long chain under his shirt that was around his neck.

Haydon watched him as he blushed and looked away, but when he explained her face turned pink too and her hand quickly retracted from the necklace. "Thank you." she found herself saying before she could stop herself. Haydon was suddenly all to aware of the position they were in now, Ariyo was on his back and she was straddling his midsection while holding his arms down. A blush burned across her face before she had time to quickly retract away from him, finally releasing the dark haired boy. She turned away from him and dangled her feet over the side of the bed like a child. "You said something about Meg?" she asked over her shoulder, not willing to face him at the moment.

Haydon's head snapped up at the sudden memory of Meg as Ariyo carried her into the house, Meg was keeping something from her and Hyadon knew it. "She has explaining to do." Haydon said in an accusing tone, instinctivly she grabbed Ariyo's arm and dragged him through the door with her. "Meg!" she called determined to get to the bottom of what ever it was that was going on.

Meg didn't even look up from her work table as she herd Haydon's determined voice. The woman gave a sigh knowing what would come next. Adam found Meg before Haydon did, and his expression suggested that he was determined to make her come clean about everything as well. "It seems I'm out numbered here." she sighed as she mixed a few things together in a glass.

Feeling Ariyo's hand in hers, everything told Haydon to pull away but instead she tightened her grip as if he would disappear at any moment. Her eyes were trained on Meg before flicking to Adam who looked down right awful. "You two are hiding something-" she managed to get out before Meg shoved something into Haydon's mouth and forced her to swallow. "Yes." the woman admitted before Haydon could continue. "you knew my mother." Haydon quickly accused, this took Meg by surprise, her eyes wide. At those words Adams eyes went wide with horror before he quickly looked away. "How-" "You always talk to yourself under your breath during my checkups thinking that I don't hear you." the green eyed girl admitted. Meg stared at her then shook her head. "No.-" "Yes." she cut her off. Meg only gave a small smile. "No Haydon you were reading my mind." the woman said. Haydon suddenly froze as everything made perfect sense to her now, why she thought people said things when in truth they never spoke anything out loud. But this was all ridicules, there was no such thing as being able to read minds. Was there?

Haydon looked to Ariyo when he spoke, still not sure what to believe. Slowly she shook her head before looking to Meg again. "I'm not human." this was no question but the words hung in the air. "Am I?" she asked, Meg stood there looking at her in awe at how much Haydon had caught on to over the years. How long had she suspected? "Sense 7th grade year." Haydon suddenly answered the unvoiced question. The woman finally shook her head. "No, your not human." she admitted. Haydon began to shake her head as she looked back to Ariyo. "No, this changes everything." she said as she realized something. "You knew and you didn't tell me." she said slipping her hand from his. She knew now why she felt like he was so different, he wasn't human either. "And you!" she pointed a dangerous finger at Adam letting her anger flare. "14 years and you don't say a thing! Is that why you have to rival me at everything? Because we are both something more than human?" she asked, Adam just shook his head at her with a scowl, he couldn't say anything without yelling at her. Meg almost laughed out loud but she was very careful to keep her thoughts in check, one loose thought might be the end of Adam for sure. The anger began to boil within Haydon and suddenly she felt her fever coming back and she became dizzy, quickly she grabbed the side of a wall for support. "Whats happening to me?" she now asked in an exhausted tone as she took in deep breaths and blinked a few times to clear her vision.

"Let me fall." Haydon said stubbornly but knew the boy wouldn't do that in a million years so Meg answered for her. "Yes get her up stairs, We'll continue to discuss this when she is better. She should have stayed up there." the woman said resiving a glare from Haydon. Haydon was about to tell Ariyo not to touch her again but that didn't work last time so why would it work now. She only nodded to Ariyo without looking at him. Meg made Haydon drink something else before shooing her back up the stairs. "Make sure she stays up there." she ordered Ariyo. Adam had disappeared somewhere down the hall, to angry to deal with anyone at the moment, there was still one secret he had yet to tell her but he didn't think he ever wanted her to know. Ever.
