Arsenal listened as Nightwing went on and on about being careful...he knew what the man was thinking about, he was thinking about Lian. "Nightwing." He said firmly, looking into the man's lens covered eyes. "I've been doing this for years," He cracked a smile and said, "Have some faith in me." He then saluted to Nightwing and said, "Now, let's head out. The more time we waste the more time this freak has to do some evil!"

Nightwing smiled. "Ok then.' He said and gave Arsenal one last look and smirk before taking off, doing a back flip off the roof and disapearing. Always the circus performer.
Making his way along the rooftops of the east end Nighwing managed to take down a potental rapeist and call the cops to have the man picked up. He informed the woman of a great therapist in town and a woman's shelter she could go to and left her the various cards he carried with him, still a freaking cop even in his costume.
He cheked in Arsenal to announce nothing going on yet.
Three streets over from Arsenal's location a shadow darted from rooftop to rooftop. Ducking low and rolling along the edge of a building to a stop. He looked down at a man who seemed to be at work on somthing in the alley. BINGO. His detective skills paied off but he was too late to save this one. He slithered down the wall and pulled out his bowstaff.
"STOP RIGHT THERE!" He shouted at the bandaged man swinging the bowstaff on him.
The bandaged man turned sharply throwing a scalple into the arm of the young masked man. Robin was about to come back when he noticed the gun pulled out. He ducked behind a dumpster just before being shot at.

((FINALLY BACK!)) Arsenal heard a shot and instantly ran towards it, gun drawn. He came to a skidding halt at an alley way and saw two figures--one was the new Robin the other was the bandaged guy. He shot at the man's gun hand and injured it badly, causing him to drop his gun. Then he put his gun away while leaping into the air and came down on the guy's head with a truncheon but he moved out of the way. "Hey Robin--Names Arsenal, I'm a friend of Nightwings." He said as he continued to swing at the guy with his truncheon.

Robin was up and attempting to lend a hand. He smiled. "is that so?"
The bandaged man had been injured and knocked off balance by this new hero, but he wasn't about to go down without a fight. He pulled anothe scalple from his coat and sliced at arsenal with it before throwing it at Robin.
Robin ducked but his eyes on the man noticed the man also pulled a smoke bomb.
He set it off and kicked Roy in the chest before disapearing.
Robin held his cape over his mouth and nose in case the gas was toxic.
Nightwing had heard the shots and took off accross the rooftops.
"Red, you ok?" He asked on the comlink. He triangled arsenal's last location and found the man with Robin in the alley way. He landed behind Robin. "I miss all the fun.' He joked. 'you guys ok?" He looked a bit worried.

Roy jumped back but couldn't stop his am from getting a good sized slice. Once the man had disappeared Nightwing appeared, "Yea, we're good. Guy got away though." He said, looking at the slice on his arm. "I'm okay, just a cut." He said, though the wound was already dripping blood. "No major veins at least." He said with a laugh. "I'll patch it up better later." He said, pulling out a thing of bandages and covering the wound.
"What now?" He asked, looking around. "Criminals don't usually strike twice after almost caught--should we keep patrolling anyway though?" he asked.

Nightwing walked over to tend to roy's cut.
"according to theprofile I put on the guy, he won't strike again for another three days." robin said. "why didn't you tell me your former flame was back in town?" he looked at Nightwing.
Nightwing blushed. "Uhmm. I never said." He started.
Robin smiled. 'the way you rsuhed to his side just now concludes deep feelings, i also deducted that the red hair and combat skills that he is the former Red Arrow, th eone you gab about endlessly." Robin gave a knowing smirk.
Nightwing glared at his younger brother. "Hey smart a**... Zip it." He snipped.
Robin rolled his eyes behind his mask. "I have homework too. i can't be on patroll all night tonight. exam week." He shrugged. "also the demon spawn is at the manor."
Nightwing tilted his head. "You mean little D.. Don't call him demon spawn. That implys Bats is a demon."
"No that implies the child's mother is a demon." Robin corrected.

Roy felt a twinge of guilt at Robin's words, he felt bad for taking of all those years to be with Cheshire. By Robin's words d**k had never stopped loving him...why had he let him go then? Roy frowned at the implication of Batman having a kid and said, "Wait--what? Bats has got a--nevermind, now isn't the time or place to talk about this." He turned to d**k and pointed at him, "You're filling me in though at the nest." Roy put his truncheon away and said, "I got someone watching little bit for the night, so I'm all yours till I go to work tomorrow." He said with a sly smile. "We can finish up anything we have to do here and then you can show me how much you missed me." Roy said with a sly smile.

d**k looked up at Roy and smiled wide. "that would be..." He stopped himself. Not the place or time.
"Yup... Thick.' Robin commented.
'what?" Nightwing turned sharply.
"It's getting thick around here." He joked. "Go to your love nest. i'll collect the evidence here and take it back to base." Robin offered.
"you sure?' Nightwing asked.
"Yeah.' Robin waved his hand at the pair. "Chek in, in the mourning. I won't tell bats that your peraiding around in costume again too."
Nightwing blushed. "Uh. Yeah he thinks I'm retired."
"You thin he thinks." Robin corrected him.
"Yeah.. sure he already knows." he sighed.
"And the dinner party is in a day. Don't let mom down." He smiled at Nightwing.
Nightwing turned to arsenal. "Yeah.. I have a lot to fill you in on." He gave a sheepish smile. He began to lead the way back to the nest.
There was a lot to go over.
Back at the nest d**k removed his mask and headed for the medical kit to patch Roy up.
"So yeah... I have a lot to catch you up on." He smiled. "Sit, you can ask questions while i stitch you up.. Like old times." he laughed.

Once back at the nest Roy was pushed onto the couch and giving free range to ask question. "Okay, one: Devil's spawn? two: Mom? And three: Isn't Bats gay with Superman? I mean I know I was gone 6 years and Clark and Bruce were having some hard times but did they really...split up?" He asked nervously, if Bats and Supes couldn't make it...surely he and d**k had better chances. He wasn't letting him go again, not for anything. He'd already ******** up once.

d**k took in a deep breath.
"the demon spawn's name is Damian. He is Talia Al Gule's son. She kinda drugged Batman and.. Yeah.. She had the kid grown in a lab, She's not the maternal type for sure. she didn't even meet the child face to face until he was 5. He was raised to be the perfect assasin. So being raised to kill at such a young age he's a bit messed up. Not the most warm and fuzzy of children." He smirked. "Mom is Selinak Kyle. A.K.A Catwoman." He looked at Roy for a reaction. "Bruce is actually straight, but the only man he ever loved was Clark. the two split up because Clark decided to wed Louis. He wanted to keep up appearences and live a quote un quote normal life. Bruce was pretty broken up over it. He and Selina got back together three years ago and they really hit it off again.. He praposed and she's in need of help for the wedding but all her former femfetal friends are still in arkham so, i'm her bride's maid i guess." He laughed.
"So in short, we have a new baby brother and mom. Dad isn't gay but the man he loves is playing straight so why not do the same?" He shrugged. "and yes.. I talked about you a lot while you were gone." he looked at Roy. " I missed you... Never stopped loveing you, but I was hard to handle near the end.. I apolegize for that." d**k knew that his argueing with roy over Jason's death was a huge factor in their split.

Roy listened as d**k spoke, simply nodding as he took all the info in--it was hard to be shocked over anything involving the bat family anymore. When d**k said he had talked about him the whole time he was gone though his physically flinched and looked down. Roy stood up and wrapped his arms firmly around the slightly smaller man's shoulders...there was no doubt now that d**k was no longer the little boy he'd first fallen in love with. "No--d**k I'm sorry. I should have stayed no matter the cost, it's me who's in the wrong here."
Roy kissed the side of d**k's head and said, "I regret leaving you--I don't regret Lian though...I just wish she could have come to me on different circumstances--not because I left you." Roy held d**k tighter and said, "I love you, and I missed you too." Roy ran his fingers through d**k's hair and said "We're together now though and I'm not leaving again." He reassured.

d**k closed his eyes and wrapped his arms around Roy tightly. "I love you too." He whispered. "I missed you... Sooo much.' He could feel the tears coming. "s**t your making me cry you jerk." He laughed a bit. "Everything happens for a reason.. Lian is a great reason, i don't care what you think.. There is a cute reason why we split for that time, but we are together now... I'll fight for you forever." He buried his face in the crook of Roy's neck to hid the fact that he was crying now.

Roy tilted his head down and nuzzled into d**k's hair, he closed his eyes and enjoyed d**k's warmth as he listened. "Go ahead and cry--or hit me if you really want to...no matter what I won't think less of you." He said softly, pulling d**k as close as he could get and nuzzling him affectionately. "God I love you--I can't believe I ever thought anything else could compare...d**k, you're my everything." He said, "Lian will always be number 1 now, but you are a close second...You two probably tie almost actually. "He teased.

d**k giggled. "I love you too. And I love her. I always wanted kids." He laughed. "I got to play Dad with Damian, but he's not hugable.." He paused. "Well, you can try to hug him but he might stab you." He laughed. It was clear d**k still saw Damian as more of a son than a little brother, but he was the one who raised Damian while Bruce was away/missing/dead.
"I missed you so much. I always wondered how you were doing. I just hoped you were happy. I didn't care with who, as long as you were happy." He started crying harder. He gave Roy a soft punch to the chest. "Thats for making me cry you jerk." He laughed through the tears. He was just so happy to have Roy back. "I love you."

Roy blinked when d**k said Damian was likely to stab you--he had a feeling he didn't want this kid near his daughter...ever. Roy chuckled at the light punch and sat on the couch, pulling d**k down with him into his lap. "I love you too Dickie, and I always have. Even when I was with Cheshire I found myself thinking of you...I tried to push those feelings away for Lian but...even my love for her couldn't make me stop missing you. That's why I came back to Gotham, it's not a coincidence you were the first person I ran into once back in Gotham, I was looking for you." Roy admitted, hugging d**k tightly.
