What is this strange power/meteor dust? A very old and ancient virus. It’s the remnant of a strange strain of Influenza that originated in space and was once a terrible plague upon those living among the stars. It’s reached Earth and it’s one and only goal as a virus is to grow and spread.

All present Senshi characters, no matter their alignment (Chaos or Order), and plain ol’ civilians are now infected with this strange space virus. The virus feeds off the power and energy of senshi, but seems to find that the untapped, raw, and normal Earth inhabitants are also acceptable hosts.
Quote:
Roll a 10 sided dice, the outcome of that number will be the beginning severity of your character’s infection which should ICly have appeared after a few days (OCCly Wednesday the 22nd , so tomorrow). You may enhance the severity of the disease as time goes on.

1-2 Nothing but some boring ol’ sniffles. Still gross.
3-5 Sneezing, runny nose that are accompanied by mild headaches or chills/fever. Not enough to stop you from going out completely.
6-7 Fever and generic aches and pains. Sniffles are pretty common too. Sick enough that you’ll consider calling in sick for work/school might still go to the grocery store on your own.
8-9 Upset stomachs seem to be the bane of your existence, your temperature is high and can’t seem to stop sweating. Definitely won’t feel like going much of anywhere.
10- Unlucky you, you’re the worst of them all and can barely even get out of bed. (All of the above, more or less).

What are you to do now with this? Go out and infect the rest of the population! Please label yours RPs as (FLU-R or FLU-B, or FLU- S). If your character is interacting with an uninfected civilian, they can roll a 4 sided dice to determine if they catch the virus. Odds are yes, Even no. They may opt to automatically be infected. All senshi that you interact with are automatically infected. If infected they should roll for the severity of their infection.

The virus will continue to spread be present until a cure is found...

Negaverse Agents, Knights and Guardian Cats are strangely immune to the disease. How come? It’s an ancient mystery that remains to be unsolved, but perhaps it’s just that their magical alignments repulse the energy-hungry virus. In the coming days to weeks, the Negaverse might just have their way with Destiny City with many senshi falling ill. Knights will have to step up their game to keep the city safe.

When the meteor impacted, Regina Wallace leapt into action. It was sheer surprise that this had happened, but she had to protect the community for their own good. Who knows what kind of space radiation or hazard would lie in the forested part of the park now. It was best to try and steer everyone clear. The brunette rushed towards the forested edge of the park and began to shoo people away, shouting “Don’t come near! I’m sure the authorities will be here soon to investigate this! Don’t worry everybody! Just stay back, just in case.”

Though Regina would try her best to keep people away, there was no doubt that some would be able to slip by her… If they were quick, they might even be able to get to the meteor and see it before any of Destiny City’s various forms of authority could. The lure would likely be too great for some.

Quote:
OOCLY: You have time to react to the meteor crashing in the park. It was an exciting thing, that may leave many shocked or jittery. For the moment, NO ONE may go into the forest to look for the meteor and the area is off limits. Though this will change eventually.

Chris watched as Paris attempted to tug Anna back to the blanket, before glancing up at the sky, his eyes widening in horror as the meteor did indeed come crashing down to the ground. His guitar was pushed to the side as he jumped to his feet, following the trail of the space object as it streaked towards them, and then crashed somewhere out of sight. s**t... that had been close... Too close...

It wasn't possible that it was done on purpose, was it...?

He immediately looked over to where his little brother had been standing, glad to see that he was still in one piece, with some other people probably from the club, and then down at his boyfriend to make sure he wasn't too shaken up, offering a hand to pull him to his feet. "What the ******** was that?" he growled under his breath, watching as people either ran to or from the scene. Some thought it was exciting... others thought it was horrifying, for good reason. If that meteor had hit a building...

"Peter, get your butt over here," he shouted to his brother, not wanting the child to run off and do something stupid.

Why the hell would he do something stupid?? Everyone there had been stupid, watching a meteor streak closer and closer to the Earth and do nothing about it. His hand had plunged into his jacket pocket, wrapping his small fingers around the pen that... he didn't use. He wouldn't be able to do much, anyway, and he didn't want to give away his identity, especially right in front of his brother and Haven. But jeez, there could have been something he could do, right??

Sure, he didn't want to leave his telescope for just anyone to grab and run off with it, but he knew his sitters were watching it, so why not? Besides, it wasn't every day that space stuff fell that close.

"Wow, that could have sucked," he said, barely breathing as he stared in shock towards where the meteor had made an impact with the ground. They were in a pretty big park, so he doubted that many people were around to get hurt, but there was always that possibility.

Hey! And since he wasn't allowed to touch a moon rock, well... he was going to be the first to touch this space rock. Although... while he wanted to run off into the woods right away, he did glance curiously up at Iouri, choosing to ignore his brother.

"Nothing to worry about, huh?"

Candice gasped as she watched the meter land. Someone in the crowd shouted out not to worry, but it frightened her immensely. It wasn't the fact that something like that doesn't happen every day, but more so, was there consequences of the incident?

She took off the blanket that was wrapped around her shoulders and put Cotton's toys it it. With one arm, she hugged Cotton firmly while the other hand went for the blanket with the toys. Candice looked at Jett, Raven, and Darwin with a very much scared expression. "I-I... Don't feel very comfortable here, you guys... I think it's time for Cotton and I to head home."

Meanwhile, the puppy fell asleep in her owner's arm, completely unaware of the dangers that might be lying ahead.

For REAL rolling for Lesath/Raven

Raven winced as the meteor came crashing down, and gave a little yelp of surprise, though glanced to Jett and shrugged. "That was kind of cool...I guess. Glad we're not...you know. Burning or anything."

She was almost starting to think that staying home and doing logic homework would have been a little better than this...but just a little. Any excuse to see Jett was always good.

-----

Unlike Raven's little yelp, Millicent let out a gasp of wonder, jumping up. "Jett! Jett it crashed! Jett we should go see it, okay? We should go look at it and touch it and see it..." She didn't seem to care that there were rules, and she just wanted to go near the giant space rock that had just crashed down. She wanted to introduce herself to the Jedis and start her real training right away, figuring that her time as a senshi would give her a leg up for being a Jedi.

"My telescope is here for everyone to use," Iouri chided Peter as Haven took over observation duties. When the rock arched over their heads and crashed into the nearby woods, however, he couldn't help but flinch protectively towards both of the children in his charge at the moment of impact. All possibilities considered, that hadn't been so terrible.

"Nothing to worry about," he confirmed to Peter as he straightened up. He didn't smell smoke, so the impact hadn't started a fire, or if it had not a large one (yet). Everyone seemed okay, and there hadn't even been much of a shake on collision. "It's probably the size of a soccer ball. Maybe smaller." Far bigger rocks had fallen - there was proof of that in the museum.

Spotting Regina towards the edge of the woods trying to hold back the crowds, Iouri turned toward the children. "Peter, Haven, who are you here with?" he asked. "Where are your adults?" Iouri not counting, of course. "I need to go help Miss Wallace. You should go back to them."

Shooing the children in what he hoped was a not-panicked manner, Iouri turned and jogged towards Regina's position at the tree-line. "Please!" he shouted. "To preserve the scientific integrity of the crash site, we request that you stay away!"

Ainsley's breath had practically been stolen away when the meteor fell down from the sky and hit Earth and her legs had decided to just lay on the ground like a cute pair of noodles when she felt the ground vibrate. Nothing so traumatizing as the end of the world happened but it had been such a surprise that it took a moment for Ainsley to regain her thoughts, and her breath. A minute, and then Ainsley took one big, deep breath. Oh life, air, precious thoughts returned to the child. A meteor had fallen! Was it around here? The child looked around carefully. Maybe if she found it, her wish would really come true. It certainly put a thought into her head but her legs didn't want to cooperate quite yet. She'd sit here just a bit longer.

The meteor’s close descent had gone mostly unnoticed by Paris, at least until it could no longer be overlooked. He glanced back up into the sky in the process of calming Anna down, though that proved to be pretty useless as she was soon completely spooked, yipping and yapping and skittering around in either fear or excitement or some strange dog-mixture of both. Paris gave her a soothing pet before taking Chris’s hand and allowing himself to be hauled to his feet, looking from his boyfriend to the spot far off through the forest where the meteor must have made landfall.

He certainly wasn’t a fan of random things falling from space, even though meteors really weren’t all that random and probably fell to Earth all the time—just not so close to his home town like this. He immediately didn’t like it, and was torn between investigating and getting the hell out of there before anything else weird happened.

“You don’t think it’s anything… you know… weird-weird, do you?” he whispered to his boyfriend, keeping a firm hold on Anna’s leash as she darted about their feet.

“Please don’t let it be anything weird. Please just let it be normal. I like normal. Normal is good,” he muttered to himself. “Okay, so I say it was just a regular old meteor. I mean, it’s not like it did much, right? Just fell and shook the ground a little bit and probably made a descent hole somewhere, but it’s not like anything exploded or someone died or anything like that. Right…?”

Right?!

Haven stared wide-eyed as the large meteor came closer, streaking overhead and landing… somewhere… close enough for them to feel the impact. At some point she’d stopped looking through the telescope because it really wasn’t necessary anymore, and she stared between Peter and Mr. Spekter as the shaking—not enough to knock her off her feet, but definitely noticeable—came to an end.

“I came with my older brother,” she announced, and she had every intention of following Mr. Spekter’s directions to get back to her sibling, nodding as the museum scientist departed to assist in keeping the crash site clear.

She was two seconds away from leaving to find her older brother when she remembered that Peter was also there.

And Peter was the last person to be left alone in a situation like this.

Haven turned to him with as fierce a glare as she could muster. “No!” she said firmly, before her not-quite-friend and not-quite-enemy could formulate much of a thought of doing anything but going back to whoever had brought him. “If you try to sneak off and see it without permission, Peter, I’m gonna tell on you!”

Micah was glad of the welcome, plopping down next to her master, ruffling her hair affectionatley. Of course, it was easy to find friends when you bring food, of that Micah had always known. Still, she laughed easily, flipping open the lid of her basket and drawing forth a few bags of chips, several sandwhiches, and some soda.

"I planned for a party, I guess. What better way to spend an evening!" She giggled and popped open her own soda, taking a long swig before...

BOOM!

Micah almost choked on her soda, falling over sideways with her start.

"Was that thing supposed to hit us," she sputtered.

[[ rolling for Sinon/Sydney ]]

You know, that really bright shooting star right over there was looking very pretty. Of course, when it came to stars, the brighter they were then the prettier they were! At least, that was the logic in Sydney’s mind. She continued to smile complacently as she took a large gulp of hot chocolate. Mmm. It was so warm. Sure, the suspicious brightness was suspicious, but the redhead wasn’t a star expect. She chocked it up to it being a super special meteor that wanted to be some sort of special snowflake. However, she began to have second thoughts when the meteor refused to disappear in a flash of light. In fact, was it her or was it drawing closer to the crowd more and more? “Holy—“ She began to swear under her breath when it finally landed into the nearby forest. Fortunately, the resulting vibration didn’t spill her drink, but Sydney crushing her cup from shock definitely did. “OH FOR THE LOVE OF—“ The young woman frowned as the brown liquid dribbled all over her gloved hands. What a waste of such a good drink!

------

When the abnormally bright meteor refused to disappear from view, Lian immediately grew suspicious. His eyes narrowed and he clasped his hands together, his gaze scrutinizing the peculiar image. While he didn’t know astronomy that well, meteors definitely were not supposed to remain in the sky this long. He furtively glanced around the crowd to gauge its reaction, but didn’t find anything too unusual yet. Lian would have made a move to stand up and leave—perhaps try to figure out where it landed—the meteor managed to crash land into the nearby forest, creating a vibration. He remained still, unnerved by the sudden movement, but directed his attention toward Regina Wallace, who attempted to calm down everyone. He looked at everyone else and by chance—horrific, horrific chance—spotted a certain Aithne. Immediately, Lian’s eyes narrowed again. What was she doing here? Lian glared.

------

Hayden turned her attention back toward the meteor shower. She was actually kind of glad she came out to the park to watch it. Even though the college student could have easily observed the stars from just about any place in the city, the park had a spectacular view that didn’t let her miss anything. Smiling, Hayden took another sip of her juice. She remained calm despite the unusual appearance of the bright meteor. It wouldn’t leave. Eyebrows furrowed as she glanced at Connor, but she chose to not say anything yet. Instead, she continued to observe the shooting star and to her startled realization, it was growing. Was it coming here? The woman convinced herself to remain calm, a hand placed over her heart as it gradually grew larger. She refused to tear her gaze away from it, even when it crashed into the forest. Immediately, the crowd broke out into excited chatter. Hayden wasn’t too surprised. A meteor had just landed near them, after all. How many people could probably say they had seen such an event? Grinning, she elbowed Connor in the ribs. “Pretty exciting, don’t you think?”

Jett glanced over to Candice; the meteor landing had been a bit startling, but sans perhaps wrapping his arm a little tighter around Raven, he seemed mostly unaffected. “Let’s…not do that, Millie. What if it’s crawling with Sith instead of Jedi? They’ll have the upper hand for a surprise attack. Let’s just wait and see what happens. Besides, you need to be here to protect Candice, right?” He looked up to the blonde and made no effort to request she stay; if she wanted to go, he wasn’t going to stop her. He only reminded, “It doesn’t look like anything else is going to come crashing down, and since we’re already here—are you sure you want to head out? I mean. Micah looks like she’s loaded with food and I haven’t eaten since lunch, sooo…”

He looked to the girl he’d been calling ‘Cornrows’ in his head since he saw her at the gym. Deciding to lighten his own mood and take his mind off of the meteor (God, sometimes he really hated space. It definitely needed to learn about boundaries and personal space) he eyed Micah's basket. “What did you bring to feed me with?”
